Chapter 4: Eve’s Advice
"Take it one at a time. You only need to worry about this for three women, so the pressure is less than you think," Eve said in a comforting tone, and then looked over the list. "Personally, I think you should go with something that has a bit of magic, but not so much as to threaten Lysia's power."
Bane nodded. "That makes sense, but there are quite a few options to choose from."
"True, but from what I have seen from your memories, Nia is actually very innocent, considering she lived as a demon. Since that is the case, changing her race to Angel might not be a bad idea. While they can be powerful, I don't see Nia ever trying to challenge Lysia," Eve suggested, and Bane nodded.
"Yeah, that actually is a really good idea!" Bane agreed, and then selected Angel, and several options appeared, making Bane sigh. "Of course it wouldn't just be an easy thing."
Eve looked over the options, and then shrugged. "There are multiple types of angels."
- Fallen Angel
- Cherubim
- Virtue
- Principalities
- Archangels
- Seraphim
Bane sighed and shook his head. "So many choices. I just want something that will make Nia stand out, but not threaten my relationship with my wife."
Eve nodded. "I believe that you should also make sure that each woman is strong enough to survive on her own in your world, but also has the power to make others feel safe."
"What about the power to protect me from Lysia's wrath?" Bane jested, and Eve gave him a look, making Bane shrug with a helpless smile. "Yeah, not likely. Anyways, can you give me a bit of knowledge on each of the sub races?"
Before Eve could say anything, definitions of each option appeared floating in the air before Bane.
Fallen Angels: An angel who fell from heaven for breaking one of the angels rules. Due to being a fallen angel, they have no longer access to any divine magic or the protection of god. Despite this, they still retain many of their powers, and are often considered more powerful than their pure counterparts.
Cherubim: One of the most powerful of the six orders of angels. They are guardians and messengers, who often guard the gates of heaven with flaming swords. They also have the ability to read people's hearts, and tell if they are pure or not.
Virtues: A lesser order of angels who watch over nature and humanity. They are considered the strongest order of angels when it comes to raw power and durability. They are also the most intelligent of all angels.
Principalities: A lesser order of angels who oversees and protects countries or groups of people. They have the unique ability to manipulate fate, and often are responsible for saving important people from dying.
Archangels: The middle order of angels. They are known as the commanders of heaven, and are often tasked with leading other angels in battle against demons. Their strength is comparable to that of an elite human.
Seraphim: The highest order of angels. They are considered to be the guardians of the gods, and have a level of power comparable to the gods.
"Okay, so I can rule out a Seraphim immediately, because I don't want to start a war with the gods, and I don't want to know any gods to begin with. Plus, if she has that much power, there is no way that Lysia won't notice, and I have a feeling that my wife would end up in a fit of rage," Bane sighed, and Eve nodded.
"Yes, but it is still something to consider. Just because they are the most powerful, doesn't mean that they are the best choice for you. Since you are going to be choosing her race, make sure you take Nia's personality into account. If you choose the wrong one, she will never be happy," Eve warned, and Bane nodded.
"Yeah, I know. Now that I think about it, she seems a bit timid and fragile. The only reason she was able to get away from her old master was because I freed her and gave her a corporeal form. Hmm," Bane pondered. "What about Cherubim?"
Rather than wait for an answer, Bane selected it just to see, and Nia's demonic form blurred, and it was replaced with a four winged girl, but there was a glaring problem.
"Jeez, does this thing not know I am trying to make a wife? What is with the teeny bopper? Is this thing trying to make everyone think I am some perverted freak?" Bane complained as he shook his head at the very young and angelic looking Nia, whose black hair had turned strawberry blonde.
"While I do agree that she looks too young, she does look cute," Eve commented, and Bane gave her a sideways look, and selected Virtues, making Nia's form blur again.
When the form cleared, Bane found himself looking at a tall, full figured woman with golden hair that reached her feet. Her face was soft, yet held an edge to it that showed that she wasn't to be trifled with.
"Eh, still a no. While she is sexy as all hell, Nia doesn't give me a serious vibe. I need a middle ground between them," Bane sighed, and selected Archangels, and the form blurred.
When the blur faded, Bane found himself looking at a tall woman with flowing black hair and a sharp face. Her eyes were glowing blue, and her skin was tan, and her body was filled with curves that made Bane drool. She had large, round breasts, wide hips, and a thin waist, but was still toned enough that she didn't look weak.
"Perfect! It has everything that I could want, plus she is beautiful!" Bane commented, but then switched over to the Body Dimensions. "She is a bit too tall for my liking, and her flesh sacks are an entire size bigger than Lysia, so we will have to edit that."
After about fifteen minutes, Bane was done, and stepped back to get a good look at Nia's body that was covered in a white dress. Somehow, Bane had been able to shape the serious face into something that was much more cute and innocent, while also dramatically reducing her height and breast size to more petite portions. While most men would prefer big chest melons, Bane preferred to keep them in the handful range, even if Lysia was not lacking in that department.
"Yes! Now, what do we have for personality?" Bane asked with a grin, but then paused as he read through the options. "Wait, what? How are these even choices?"
"What's wrong?" Eve asked, and Bane pointed at the list with a snort of amusement.
- Lust
- Love
- Compassion
- Greed
- Sloth
- Pride
- Gluttony
- Envy
- Wrath
"Lust? No, Love? Sounds clingy. Compassion? This sounds like Nia, but just how much will her personality change if I make one of these choices?" Bane questioned, and Eve shrugged.
"I am afraid that I cannot answer that for you. Just because she is now an angel, doesn't mean that her personality will stay the same. If anything, the person she used to be might vanish completely, but not because you picked a new one," Eve warned, and Bane frowned.
"Well, shit, there goes my idea of keeping Nia mostly the same, but maybe that is for the best. I mean, her life as a demon was terrible. The only reason she didn't suffer more was because of her ability that kept other demons from touching her," Bane said with a frown, but Eve shook her head.
"While their past experiences will affect them, the reason I say this is because while they were demons, you only see fragments of their personality. There is a chance that Nia's true personality is only partially shy, and naïve," Eve explained, and Bane nodded.
"I see what you mean. Onyx and some other demons explained that to me while I was in the other world," Bane sighed, and made his personality selection, and then confirmed he was finished.
Would you like to bind a Spark to this Avatar?
With a smile, Bane summoned Nia's pure white demon heart, and popped it in his mouth. Considering this was the first colorless demon heart Bane had tried to eat, he was surprised by the lack of flavor. Before he could react, the selection to bind a spark to the avatar was confirmed, and a flash of light appeared before Bane and Eve.
