Chapter 2647  Omni-Prism

In the past month, Rui had spent a lot of time focusing on harnessing light. The very first principle that he had come to focus on was the principle of refraction. Light changed speed and direction depending on the medium that it was in, and this was something that could be harnessed to redirect light a full one hundred and eighty degrees around him.

This principle was harnessed in a personal mini-domain.

One that redirected light by curving it around within the domain with the principle of refraction and sending it back to all those who blasted him with light.

VMMM VMMM VMMM!!!

All manners of light were directed at him, and yet, the hapless Masters simply watched as his domain redirected light around in a circle back to exactly where they had come.

Rui had become a sphere of revolving light.

"Omni-Prism."

This was the defensive and counter-offensive defensive technique that he had created as a primary defensive tool against his enemies.

And yet, that wasn't all. CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE…!

The greater the light that they directed, the greater electrical potential he began to harness in his domain.

Converting light into electrical energy was possible through the photoelectric effect which occurred when light displaced electrons from their shells in atoms, causing a flux of current.

Current that could be harnessed.

Unbeknownst to a lot of his opponents, electrical energy could be converted to light in a variety of ways, such as ionizing gaseous atoms, causing them to emit immense amounts of light while also relying on noble gases to recreate lighting technology back on Earth.

They were about to witness the sheer depth of Rui's understanding of the nature of light.

BOOOOM!!!!

A profoundly intense flood of light emerged from the arcs of electricity that crackled in and around the Omni-Prism, adding to the intensity of the light that his domain absorbed and redirected back at his opponents while the remaining amount was absorbed into his domain through the photoelectric effect, generating a current that allowed him to generate his own light.

The Solaris Masters gritted their teeth as they were bombarded by not just their own power but also additional power on top of that. They didn't understand how Rui was generating such a vast amount of light without his own body.

Unlike him, the means by which they generated light was through bioluminescence. In other words, they generated light through an innate ability in the physiology of their Martial Body.

It allowed them to directly convert their physical power to light in a very direct manner, and while they could manipulate the light they emitted through some principles of light, they had never seen anything like what Rui had accomplished!

They stared at him in amazement as he spread his arms, welcoming the intense light that they emitted at him as it curled around at him, returning back.

It was nothing short of magic.

In that moment, Rui resembled a wizard of light, as opposed to a Martial Artist.

And yet, the battle was far from over.

"Your mastery of light is impressive, but it is not enough."

Rui's gaze shifted up as he felt a hint of peril.

The Radiant had not been wasting time.

With a single breath, he manipulated the heavens.

He created a magnifying glass out of the entire sky.

"Now then," a whisper escaped the Radiant. "Perish from the Wrath of Solaris."

The full might of much of the light of the Sun, in addition to the Radiant's own light, began to focus on Rui. The sheer intensity of the light was so high, and was only growing higher, that it began to ionize the air around Rui a bit too much, causing his domain to lose the optical density that allowed him to refract and redirect light.

CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!

His defense was beginning to come undone.

A smile emerged on the Radiant's face as he saw the extraordinary intensity of his light begin to reach.

"Die."

And yet, moments before the full Wrath of Solaris could converge upon Rui, a single whisper escaped him.

"Double Slit Defense."

In the last moment, Rui manipulated the heavens to create an opaque barrier that left two slits for all the light to pass through, dividing the incoming attack into two.

BOOOOM!!!!!

The convergence of light of the Wrath of Solaris occurred, causing the light of the Radiant and the Sun to fully converge on Rui, resulting in a tremendous laser that would have eviscerated any Martial Master away.

And yet, Rui was entirely unharmed.

Pure shock emerged on the Radiant's face. "How?!"

A grin emerged on Rui's face. The double slit experiment was a well-known experiment in light that displayed the phenomenon of constructive and destructive interference.

When a barrier with two slits was placed before a light source and a screen, it caused alternating spots of light and dark instead of two spots on the screen. Rui had simply placed himself in the dark spot.

By creating two slits at exactly the right place, he was able to ensure that the light of his opponent's attack would destructively interfere with his spot, causing his opponent to negate his own attack.

He had anticipated that the Omni-Prism would not be enough by itself to withstand the sheer onslaught that he would be facing from the powerful Masters of the Solaris Kingdom. Thus, he had prepared an additional defensive trump card that could help him defend against attacks that not even Omni-Prism would be enough by itself.

"Come," Rui's smile widened. "I have yet to collect all the data I need. I will have all of you serve as proper test subjects."

He moved his body in a specific manner while breathing to manipulate the heavens. With the combination of Double Slit Destruction and Omni-Prism, he displayed a mastery of light that was unfathomable to the Masters of the Solaris Kingdom, enjoying himself with a novel battle that was quite different from any other he had ever had before.

While the Masters of the Solaris Kingdom exerted themselves to their limit to prove their superiority and gifted nature of light, Rui simply tested his limits and indulged himself with fun and excitement.
