Chapter 2: TMPTEP: Two
Sora's POV
After the banquet, and most of the guests have already left, Prince Nao then stayed behind, together his butler, Hiro.
"Please allow me to say thank you for inviting us to stay tonight, my King." Prince Nao politely said to my Father.
"It was our pleasure, my Prince. So, can I ask what brought you to offer marriage to our Princess?" My Father asked.
Nodding, Prince Nao then looked at me before answering. "Actually, it was nothing special. But if I may be honest, I do believe that marriage isn't something to be treated lightly, so the first thing for me to look for a wife is someone who can make me feel comfortable, and Princess Sora has that effect on me."
Nodding, my Mom intercepted. "So can we take it that you're not marrying her just for convenience?"
Smiling, he nods. "Yes, my Queen. As for us Elves, marriage is something sacred and I wouldn't dare to offer it with just anyone. I'm just glad I caught her at the right time."
Feeling myself blush, I quickly looked down. "And how about your parents? Do you think they'll approve her?" Big Brother Seya, asked.
Nodding again, he said. "My parents weren't very specific of whom I should marry, they just want me to find someone who can be my resting place when things gets rough."
"Well, aren't you a romantic, Crown Prince. I'm glad you can see our only Princess for who she is." Big Brother Satou then said, making him nod in agreement.
After a long talk, the night has come and we are all now ready to rest, saying goodnight to everyone, I then excused myself.
Was about to enter my room, I then saw a silhouette following me so I turned around to see who it was.
"Sleeping already?" Prince Nao asked.
"Not really, why?" I asked back.
"W-well, if I wouldn't be bothering you, can we talk for a bit more? I kinda want to you more." He said with a smile.
Nodding, I then lead him to the balcony by the hallway, and he opened the door for me. Sitting by the edge of it, we then appreciated the view of the glowing and peaceful ocean from underneath.
"S-so, what do you want to know, my Prince?" I initiated.
"Well, I'm just curious what got you so aloof." He said, carefully eyeing me for my response.
Fiddling with my hair, I looked back at him. "I'm sickly when I was a child so my parents forbidden me from leaving my room and by the time I reached 13, my health improved so they'd allowed me to go out in some occasions, and today was the only day that I was able to stay out for this long."
"I see, but by staying inside your room, who else can you talk to?" He asked again, his gentleness showing up in his face.
"Only my family, and sometimes random attendants." I replied.
Smiling, he nods. "So you were technically not this open to other people."
Nodding back, I said. "Let's just say that what you're feeling with me is mutual."
Chucking, he nods again before looking me in the eyes with overwhelming sincerity. "Can you tell me what's your take about marrying me?"
Blushing, I tried to look away, but he held my chin up making me look straight back at him."
"Well, to be honest. I was scared that you're just being impulsive. I mean, as Princes and Princesses we are often reminded that it is our duty to carry on with our family lineages, so I thought you were just one of those desperate ones who would marry anyone." I explained.
He then laughed. "Do I really look like one?"
Pouting, I looked away as I shook my head. "It was just me assuming things."
Smiling, he said. "I don't know if you're trying to be cute, or you're innately cute but either way, I don't think it wouldn't hurt to be attentive in trusting people so I understand why you thought that way."
Taken aback with his response, I found myself staring at him. "You weren't mad that I think badly of you?"
Shaking his head, he said. "Like I said, I understand why you thought like that. But if you're going to be my wife, you should also learn not to assume things with what you see."
Pouting again, I just nod at him, it was then he suddenly leaned in and pinched my cheeks. "What was that for? It hurts." I complained.
Chuckling again, he said. "It's a punishment for being cute."
Blushing and pouting at same time, he then laughed at me even more, and as it get later, we decided to get in and take a rest on our rooms.
Walking me to my room, he then held my hand and kissed the back of it. "Have a goodnight sleep, my Princess."
Nodding, I replied. "You too."
Waving at me goodbye, I then entered my room with my heart beating fast.
I know it was only the beginning of our story, but feeling this way as early as now, I couldn't help but to think he already had me falling for him.
Sleeping with a huge smile on my face, I immediately dozed off, and by the time I woke up, it was already late in the morning.
Thinking he might already left, I found myself rushing to the living room, only to find him playing with my brothers.
"Looks like someone had a goodnight sleep? Did you casted a spell on her? She rarely slept that well." Big Brother Seya said, nudging Prince Nao.
"Oh come on, brother. I wouldn't go that far, I just wished her a goodnight sleep last night."
All of them then looked at me, making me blush instantly.
"Oh, Princess. I don't know if you already know but Mother and Father would be going back with him to discuss the engagement of you two." Big Brother Satou then told me.
"I-I see." I replied, looking at Prince Nao. "When will you leave?" I asked him.
"Hm, probably by this afternoon." He replied.
"Why do you ask? Are you gonna miss him?" Big Brother Sei asked.
Chuckling, Big brother Rei then seconded. "You shouldn't have asked he that, just look at our Princess, blushing hard, so cute like a tomato."
Rolling my eyes at them, I then walked away and went to the dining myself. "Hungry, my Princess?" I then looked at who asked, only to see Prince Nao standing behind me.
Nodding, he then gestured Hiro, to ask an attendant to serve me a breakfast, and as we wait, Prince Nao sat beside me.
"Say Princess, were you scared not to see me before I left that you forgot to change your clothes before going out of your room?" He asked, eyeing my sleeping clothes.
Thinking there's no point in lying, I gave him a quick nod.
He then leaned in to me to whisper. "I appreciate the effort, my Princess, but this shouldn't happen again. We're still not married and making someone see your sleeping clothes isn't right."
Nodding and biting my lips, I said. "But what I'm wearing is just a casual sleeping dress."
"I know, but you still have to be careful. I don't want anyone to see my fiancée in her sleeping clothes. It's only mine to see, understood?" He said with a low and husky voice.
Feeling the chill on my spine with his words, I quickly got up to change my clothes, and once I came back down, my food is already served.
Pulling the chair for me, he let me sit down before he sit back beside me. "Go on, my Princess, eat only enough, so you can eat with us for lunch."
Nodding, I did what he said and once I am done eating, he asked me to give him a tour to the Castle and we went back just in time for lunch.
All eating together, my parents then reminded my brothers to keep an eye to the Kingdom and me while they're away. Nodding, my brothers continued eating.
Time for them to go, Prince Nao pulled me into a hug and said. "I'll be back soon. Take care of yourself and be mindful with what you do."
"Okay, please travel safe. I'll see you again, my Prince." I replied kissing his cheeks.
"Thank you." He then said, kissing my cheeks back.
After sending them off, I went back to my room and just do my routine like as usual, and the went on, with me thinking of when will he come back, then all of the sudden, I heard someone talk to me.
"Princess, do you miss me? I can hear your thoughts you know?" It was Prince Nao's voice, but I don't know where it came from.
Scared, I tried to look around but see nothing but my things.
Hearing him chuckle, it was almost like he's watching me from afar, making me shiver. "Don't worry, I'm not watching you, I'm just answering your thoughts.
"O-okay." I paused biting my lips. "Have you guys arrived yet?" I asked.
"Yeah, we arrived as soon as we got off the Ocean." He replied.
"What? Isn't your Kingdom far away from us?" I asked in shock.
Chuckling, he replied. "It is, but once I'm in a forest, I can easily use Teleportation to get back."
"I see, are my parents well then?" I asked once more.
"Yes, they're doing well, my Princess. How about you? why are you staying up late thinking of me?" He asked back.
Blushing, I said. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't know I could call you out if I did that."
"It's fine, but you should sleep now, my Princess. We can talk again tomorrow." He said, almost dismissingly.
Pouting, I muttered. "Guess, I'm missing you."
Hearing him chuckle again, I pouted even more. "I'm missing you too, Princess. But really, you should rest before I go spend the night talking to youu."
Nodding, I said. "Fine, I'll go sleep. You too."
"Good night my Princess. I'll talk to you again, tomorrow." He said.
Obliging, I then lie down the bed, and just like last night, I found myself quickly dozing off, and it almost felt like he's the reason for it.
The next morning, I woke up with a smile, unconsciously thinking of him. "You just wake up and think of me, that's a good start isn't it?" He said with a light chuckle.
"Ah sorry, did I called out you again?" I asked.
"It's fine. I appreciate it. By the way, good morning to you, my Princess." He replied.
"G-good morning to you too. I hope I didn't wake you up with my thoughts." I said.
"No, you didnt. I was actually up early in the morning. Are you getting up? Don't forget about your clothes, okay?" He reminded me, and all of the sudden, he groaned.
Worried, I asked. "W-what's wrong? why are you groaning."
Letting out a light but some how deep chuckle, he said. "Hm. I-it's nothing, j-just doing some exercise in the morning." Then followed by a groan again.
Curious, I just kept listening to him as I changed my clothes, it was then I realized he's doing something I shouldn't know off.
"Hng!" He groaned again. "P-Princess, do you think I'm weird for doing something like this when you can hear me?" He asked, continuing doing his stuff.
Shaking my head, I replied. "N-no. It's a natural thing isn't it? B-but it's quite embarrassing on my end."
"I'm sorry, Princess, just thinking of you on that same clothes just made me feel excited." He said, followed by another groan.
Feeling my cheeks heat up, I tried thinking about anything else, but I can still hear him groaning for me and there's just no way I could remain unbothered.
"P-Princess Sora…" He called out to me, in a very sexy and husky voice, sending me a in intense shiver radiating from my head to toe. "Ah, that was great! Thanks for helping me deal with this big guy of mine, my Princess." He said.
Nodding, I just bit my lip, saying. "Done now?"
"Yeah. I feel better now so I would be going downstairs to eat. You too, okay?" He told me.
"Okay." I said, then paused. "I was happy to help."
Chuckling, the line of thought was then cut off so I went down myself and eat.
