The Moment Elysia Confess Her Love, War Wages On the Ship

Chapter 33: Simply Going on a Honeymoon

“Ai-chan, now that you have a physical body, you should be able to bring me tea, right?”

Luo Ming shook his head.

There was no response—Ai-chan was likely busy learning the skills of a cleaner from Rita, her senior.

Her physical body might eventually serve some important roles, like turning lights on and off, serving tea, fetching water, and cleaning floors.

But he wasn’t to blame for assigning these duties; Ai-chan had deceived him first.

Though Luo Ming was a good captain, he wouldn’t tolerate blatant trickery.

Ai-chan would have to endure a long training period until his frustration eased.

As for now…he would work alone in silence.

The detector resembled the old radars on Soviet icebreakers, with a mechanical switch that made a crisp sound each time it was activated, followed by a pulsing noise, like the charging of a laser.

All of this was part of the Hyperion’s “aesthetic”—more decorative than functional, purely a personal preference of Luo Ming, who enjoyed the Cold War era’s culture.

The soft click and pulse sounds brought him as much joy as a gentle kiss on the cheek from Elysia.

“Let’s hope there’s some progress today. My relationship with my girlfriend is moving fast, so I’ll really need a place for us soon.”

For a honeymoon.

Well, calling it a honeymoon wasn’t exactly accurate.

When Elysia first came by to inspect, she’d remarked on how love affects the brain—a whimsical comment very much in her style.

But Luo Ming still made a mental note of it.

Who knew? Maybe it didn’t make logical sense, but it could be true in a practical way.

It would be the perfect, romantic honeymoon.

“People should mature. In the Sea of Quanta, the job assigned to me is random, and I just happened to end up in communications with the equipment department, which automatically responds each time, making me feel like I have some awakening system. It’s embarrassing every time.”

He chuckled at his own misfortune.

Suddenly, a ripple appeared on the radar.

His head shot up.

All the romantic musings faded away, replaced by the necessary seriousness for his work.

He stared at the ripple for a long time before standing up and pressing the selection key solemnly.

The Valkyries’ avatars were displayed in a row on the screen, each one lighting up as he pressed it, notifying the chosen Valkyrie.

To be honest, it was a bit like selecting someone for “special duty” for the night—a guilty pleasure Luo Ming had indulged in when he first came aboard.

What surprised him was that, after three years, not one Valkyrie had objected.

“Picking teammates, huh…”

Without hesitation, Luo Ming lit up Elysia’s avatar.

Every mission from now on would likely require his girlfriend’s presence—a bit of favoritism.

He’d decide on the others after getting more details from the gravitational waves.

As he mused, more data appeared on his monitor. Luo Ming observed it with interest.

In the Far East, Kallen sealed away the Herrscher of Corruption. With the power of an external six-fold ritual, she achieved longevity for five centuries and carried a guilt that lasted just as long. In an effort to give her beloved’s soul a new vessel, she cloned a child from her beloved’s genes… That child’s name was Yae Kasumi.

“Kallen, huh?”

“Yae Sakura, right?”

Luo Ming scratched his head.

This must be an alternate timeline—a world bubble different from the main universe.

He knew too little to make a judgment.

Yae Sakura was a beautiful pink-haired, fox-eared lady, while Kallen seemed to be an ancestor of Kiana’s.

Kiana often spoke about the noble bloodline of the Kaslana family, with every generation inheriting the white hair and blue eyes, along with the same degree of silliness, so there wasn’t much to think about there.

But who was Yae Kasumi?

As a casual player, tears welled up in his eyes.

Gene clones, souls…just hearing it, he could tell it was loaded with layers of yuri-esque emotional entanglements, possibly wrapped around countless plot twists.

“Guess I’ll bring Mei along, then,” Luo Ming muttered, quickly making his choice.

Actually, it makes sense that Honkai is mostly yuri; after all, nearly everyone with resistance to Honkai energy is female. In the intensity of battle and the thin line between life and death, powerful emotions are bound to blossom.

But never mind all that. Yuri or not, he already has Elysia.

As Luo Ming read through more detailed information, he murmured to himself, “I wonder if I’ll be getting a new crew member this time?”

“Look, isn’t it lifelike?”

Crystal fragments fell as Elysia proudly presented her work: a block of tofu sculpted into the likeness of two people—her and the Captain—holding hands.

Pink crystalline particles settled around them, forming petal shapes, creating an atmosphere resembling a wedding scene.

“You’re free to express your admiration,” Elysia said with a satisfied smirk, arms crossed.

She had used her bowstring to carve the Captain’s expression with meticulous detail, finishing in just twenty minutes.

“But this is only the firmest type of tofu,” Mei said calmly, watching from the side. “There’s still the softer tofu and aged tofu to go.”

Mei evaluated, “I have to say, this doesn’t pass. It’s meant to be food, yet you’ve covered it in Honkai crystal fragments. This dish…it’s inedible, isn’t it?”

“True,” Elysia agreed with a nod, “but isn’t it pretty?”

The crystal shards, like delicate petals, were scattered over the tofu figures.

Indeed, it was beautiful—imbued with artistry, elegance, and purity.

Mei’s true goal was simple: she wanted the Captain’s image to be carved into Elysia’s mind, time and time again.

The deeper the impression, the more likely her efforts to help them succeed, all leading to her own quiet victory.

“Let’s try again,” Mei said with genuine encouragement, still playing the role of the gentle and understanding partner, helplessly indulging Elysia.

“The Captain really means a lot to me,” Mei said softly. “So, could you treat him well?”

With the tenderness of a devoted partner, Mei enveloped all that the Captain was—loving who he loved, unconditionally loyal, free from complications.

This motherly affection left Elysia a bit overwhelmed.

Just as Elysia pulled her bowstring, preparing to move on to the softer tofu, the communicator chimed.

“A major event?”

Mei raised her eyebrows in surprise, her gentle expression replaced with alertness.

She turned to Elysia and explained, “It means the World Bubble mission has begun, and the Captain has chosen us as his team members.”
