The Name of Eternals

Chapter 151: 151: Blocking Heaven and Earth

Chapter 151: Blocking Heaven and Earth

Li Hao chased the demon kings outside Tianmen Pass with his sword. Three demon kings had already fled a hundred miles away, disappearing into the distance.

Li Hao hurried to Song Qiumo's side, finding her blue dress soaked in blood. Deep claw marks marred her shoulder blades, and her breath was weak. Her face was pale, but she was staunching the bleeding and stabilizing her injuries, seemingly out of immediate danger.

"What's happening?"

Seeing Li Hao's god-like figure approaching, Song Qiumo was startled, struggling to maintain her composure as she asked: "Is this some kind of secret technique?"

Even as she asked, she had never seen any secret technique that could cause such a transformation.

Moreover, the aura Li Hao exuded was so oppressive that even she felt it, as if the entire sky above was ready to crush down at Li Hao's mere gesture.

Seeing that Song Qiumo was safe, Li Hao's rage and killing intent slightly receded. Song Qiumo's question reminded him to quickly control his power, restraining the celestial energy from drawing more power from the heavens.

Though easy to say, his body had already begun to crumble and damage. Though he tried to block the influx of celestial energy, his pores seemed ruptured, and his body, like an open floodgate, couldn't shut!

Li Hao squatted, gritting his teeth. His eyes, bloodshot, knew that if he couldn't control it, he would dissolve completely, turning into a breeze in the vast heaven!

He didn't want to die!

But the tearing and rending pain came from every part of his body.

That endless celestial power seemed to grind his bones, tear apart his flesh, crush his organs, and finally blend him into the world!

"Ahhhh!!"

Li Hao roared like a wild beast, his voice hoarse and bloodcurdling.

Song Qiumo sensed that Li Hao's state was dangerously unstable. Her pale face filled with tension, she urgently asked, "How can I help?"

But Li Hao could no longer speak.

Seeing this, Song Qiumo tried to use her power to envelop Li Hao in a soft water barrier, attempting to heal and slow down his body's disintegration.

However, the soft healing water, when touching Li Hao's body, sped up his disintegration.

He was so saturated with energy that the more he absorbed, the faster his body would collapse.

At that moment, Feng Bo Ping, dragging his injured body, arrived and immediately understood the situation:

"Quick, block this heaven and earth!"

Song Qiumo reacted swiftly. Seeing her powers worsen Li Hao's condition, she retracted her energy, horrified to find part of it forcibly absorbed by Li Hao.

At Feng Bo Ping's shout, she steadied herself, gathering her healing energy to form a joint barrier with him, encasing Li Hao within.

However, to their shock, though the barrier slowed Li Hao's disintegration, it trembled and began to disintegrate as well!

Their own energy was being absorbed!

This realization stunned them both. Their powers being devoured like this was unheard of, even among demons. Only a transcendent demon king could do such a thing.

Yet, Li Hao's actions resembled that very phenomenon.

While they were in shock, Li Hao gritted his teeth, trying to control his body. The joint barrier by Feng Bo Ping and Song Qiumo did its job, temporarily blocking the heavenly energy.

Though energy still poured into him, it wasn't as overwhelming.

Li Hao roared, suppressing his body and the celestial energy within, converting and dissipating some of it.

This rapid conversion barely managed to handle the vast celestial power, with his numerous meridians and dual Yin-Yang channels working overtime.

Amidst the excruciating pain, Li Hao struggled to keep his body and mind calm.

Only by achieving inner peace could he trigger the "Enduring Light and Nurturing Obscurity" trait, slowly healing his body.

This self-healing power was comparable to the Immortal Realm.

But the dual torment of physical and spiritual pain made seeking that peace a daunting, almost hopeless task.

He gritted his teeth, closed his eyes in agony, and crouched like a shrimp on the ground.

He thought of the gentle breeze on the mountain, wishing it could carry away his pain.

But the breeze merely brushed by, taking nothing and leaving nothing.

Would he die here?

Li Hao wondered.

He thought of the starry courtyard, the many faces along the path when he left the illustrious General's Mansion.

He thought of the little white fox, Ren Qianqian, Feng Lao who had taken a hit for him, and the pale, weak Song Qiumo.

Hot blood dripped from his face like sweat.

Li Hao breathed slowly, recalling the tranquility he felt atop the snowy peak.

He knew resistance and conversion alone wouldn't suffice; he had to guide this power out.

Like a snowflake in the wind, rising and falling with the breeze.

His breath went from deep to rapid, then gradually slowed down.

His hunched body slowly relaxed until he sat on the ground.

His once-swollen body began to shrink.

But as his bones and flesh contracted, returning to their original state, his skin was tattered, covered in blood, like a blood-soaked statue.

The sight of his ghastly form made Song Qiumo clench her hands, her clear eyes gradually showing deep anger and killing intent.

Feng Bo Ping, seeing Li Hao's condition stabilize, sighed with relief. The barrier they had formed was breaking, full of holes.

The energy still poured into Li Hao, but now most of it swirled around him like a cyclone, dispersing elsewhere.

Despite the horrific state, Li Hao's face gradually showed peace.

Feng Bo Ping's eyes grew moist, a tear falling.

Had they not left that grand mansion, would this young boy have faced such danger? Would he have had to stand against these powerful demons at such a young age?

He wondered how many in that mansion would genuinely feel for this boy.

The celestial energy surged, stirring snow and dead leaves, forming a whirlwind around Li Hao.

But at the center, Li Hao's face was calm. Though still bleeding, the flow slowed.

The "Enduring Light and Nurturing Obscurity" trait activated, bringing peace amid torment.

His breathing became steady.

The torn flesh on his body began to scab.

The snow under him was stained red.

After an unknown time, Li Hao slowly opened his eyes to see Feng Lao and Song Qiumo's concerned gazes. He smiled weakly, "I'm okay."

"Almost dead, and you say you're okay!"

Feng Bo Ping gritted his teeth, wanting to knock Li Hao on the head but held back, finally relaxing and sitting beside him.

Song Qiumo gave Li Hao a deep look, silently saying nothing.

Li Hao dispersed the swirling energy, controlling the celestial energy within. He no longer absorbed the power.

The turbulent energy around gradually calmed.

"Sorry for the trouble."

Li Hao looked at them. All three were heavily injured, in a dire state.

"Forget the nonsense. Once we heal, we'll make trouble for them!"

Feng Bo Ping chuckled, pulling out various precious medicines, selecting and consuming them.

Song Qiumo also took her healing pills, quietly agreeing with Feng Bo Ping.

Li Hao nodded. They couldn't let this go.

"Little rascal."

Feng Bo Ping tossed some pills to Li Hao, who shook his head. These medicines were ineffective for him. He relied on his self-healing trait.

If he reached the Three Immortal Realm, combining with his healing trait, his regenerative power would be incredible.

Feng Bo Ping was about to speak when suddenly, a sound approached from afar.

The three looked up, faces changing. In the distance, the three demon kings had returned!

"It seems you're not in great shape, haha!"

The Ten Thousand Mountain Demon King led the charge, eyes filled with killing intent and joy.

Seeing their condition, especially Li Hao's bloody state, and the others barely holding on, the demon kings closed in.
