The Story of a Boy Who Was Reincarnated in a Harem Romcom Manga

CH 1 – Ranting about the idiocy behind romcoms.

Thud!

As my body jolted from the sudden noise, I slowly raised my body from the desk and rubbed my eyes. A loud yet cheerful voice pierced my ears, as I yawned.

"Hey Touma! I brought you lunch again today!"

I drifted my eyes towards the voice. A glistening platinum blonde hair, large sky-like blue eyes, with a small face and cherry lips came into view. Her name was Akari Fujiwara, the bubbly childhood friend of the protagonist, Touma Jiro.

Now then, you might be wondering who this wonderful person was talking to. Not me of course, who would want to talk to a dull guy like me? Obviously, she was talking to the 'even duller' protagonist who was sitting at the bottom left desk beside the window. Ash black hair, deep black eyes, average build, average face, you know, the usual romcom harem protagonist.

I myself was sitting in the bottom row as well, 3 desks to the right of the protagonist. Now you also might be wondering why I called Touma the protagonist. First off, like I had said at the start, he looked like every other generic harem protagonist. Second of all, the multitude of girls that surrounded him numbering up to three. And last of all, his godly powers to somehow attract unworldly beauties with his mysterious charm.

I think you might be saying to me right now that I'm just salty or just mad or a sore loser, but honestly, I don't care.
But for real, how does he do that???
And y'all better not be saying that he's kind and considerate, giving him crazy rizz, because that is utter bullshit. If people who were kind and considerate got mad rizz, we would already have couples + harems flooding the entire world. But enough with my inner monologue rant.

I still had to introduce the other two ladies next to Touma. To the right, we had Mei Shimizu, with shoulder-length silver hair, deep crimson eyes and a sharp face, someone who you would describe as alluringly beautiful like the night time sky. To the left, we have Chiaki Inoue, a cool mature girl with wavy brown hair, gold eyes with a curvy yet built body; extremely charming to the eye.

So in essence, what we have is a recipe for a generic harem story; three heroines each with their own personalities and appearances, and a mob protagonist who looks dull in nature but is a very kind and caring person. Well, I guess we can also count the leaching parasite that is the protagonist's best friend, but I mean nobody ever remembers the best friend except for the stupid comic relief that they give to the plot. Brown short hair in a textured fringe, brown clear eyes, and a cheery aura with a medium build; Yamato Kimura.

I have no plans to get involved with this cast of characters. It's way too bothersome and I would rather just do my own things. To be completely honest, I don't even know the plot of the manga. I tossed it into the back of my mind, as it was just another cheap generic romcom manga that I had read over and over time and time again. Frankly, I was getting sick and tired of these mangas, until one day, I felt dizzy at my desk and slammed into it. Voila, here I was, in this shitty ass poor excuse for a romcom manga. What a pathetic way to die.

I sighed, as I looked back to my phone, browsing through other novels, passing the time.

"God damn it! Why does that dull looking guy get the three flowers of Yokosuka Highschool?!"
"I swear I'm gonna beat the shit outta of him one day!"
Behind me was hush voices of high school boys who were jealous of Touma. Typical. They were practically glaring daggers at him and biting their nails. Alas, Touma being quite the dense protagonist did not know this, creating even more discord between the men in the class.

I guess you could technically call me a loner, but could you blame me? It was pretty pathetic if I wanted to associate with these guys. Anyways, Touma sat in the middle as he continued munching carefree on Akari's bento box. Akari was timidly waiting for Touma's rating and thoughts, while the other two girls glared at Akari.
'How innocent.' I thought, as I slightly grinned and gazed back at my phone.
For context, Touma couldn't finish all of the girls bento boxes in one go, so they decided it was fair game to split the days on which Touma would eat their home-cooked meals.

"It's delicious as always Akari."
"R-really? N- n- not like I made it specifically for you anyways. Hmph!"
(Classic Tsundere. Haha.)
"No I'm being serious, I'm really happy that you always make lunch for me. Thank you so much."
Her face burst into flames as she looked away, facing my direction.
'You dense idiot...' She murmured as she nervously grinned.
"Hmm? What was that?"
"Nothing you fool!"

God, I am cringing over here holding my chest over this generic scene. Someone please help me.
