The Strongest Assassin of the Zoldyck Family!

Chapter 174: Chapter 174

Ron had already finished eating and was now sitting on the sofa, resting.

"Nina," Ron acknowledged her with a nod. "How were things during the day?"

"No surprises," Nina replied. "Killua finished his match at the Sky Arena and returned to the hotel. On the way, he bought a huge amount of snacks and hasn't come out since."

"Snacks?" Ron raised an eyebrow, the word instantly reminding him of Milluki.

As a quintessential "shut-in," Milluki had an extreme love for snacks. Whenever Ron called him in the past, he could almost always hear the sound of Milluki munching on something.

"Does Killua love snacks too?" Ron mused. "I don't remember this being mentioned in the original storyline, though I might have missed it. Still, it's normal for kids to like snacks."

Snapping out of his thoughts, Ron smiled. "Thank you for your hard work today."

Because Ron needed to train outside, Silva had to accompany him for safety reasons. This left Killua's safety in the hands of Nina and Sally.

One person wouldn't have been enough, but it did interrupt Nina and Sally's training time.

"Big Brother, you're being too polite," Nina said, clearly touched. "Captain, this is what we're here for." Sally added.

Nina was deeply grateful to Ron. No matter the task, she was more than willing to help. As for Sally, who had lost her memory, she viewed Ron as the closest person to her and treasured him just as much. Besides, helping him didn't come close to the value of what Ron had given them—training in advanced Nen techniques—without asking for anything in return.

---

That night, Ron didn't sleep. Sitting cross-legged on his bed, he entered a meditative state, reflecting on his training.

Today's training had been especially rewarding. Beyond the immediate results, the experiences and insights gained were points he could repeatedly revisit and refine.

Ron felt his understanding of Ko had significantly deepened. And it wasn't just Ko—his comprehension of other Nen techniques was improving too.

---

The next morning, Ron left the Sky Arena with Silva, heading to the outskirts of the city. This time, they went in a different direction from the day before.

Yesterday's training had drawn too much attention. Returning to the same place might risk being seen.

Nina and Sally had left early as well.

Ron continued training in the same focused manner as before. With this progress, he was confident he could soon achieve 90% mastery of Ko, as long as he stuck to the right method.

By evening, Ron finished training.

"Ron, hold on," Silva called out suddenly.

"I have a task. Interested?" Silva asked.

"What kind of task?"

"A mission for an assassin," Silva explained. "The reward is a multicoloured egg. The target isn't particularly strong, but the environment they're in is unique. I need someone strong to assist me."

Silva continued, "I was planning to wait for Illumi or your grandfather Zeno to have time, but after seeing the level of your aura, I realized you're already capable."

"I'll give you a third of the egg as payment once the mission is completed."

Ron nodded. "Alright, I'm in."

"Good. Prepare yourself tonight. We'll leave tomorrow evening. As for Killua, I'll leave him in your friends's care for a bit. It'll be tough for them, but If you trust them, so will I."

Ron knew the rules of the Zoldyck family well. Silva wouldn't take on a task unless he was completely confident. This meant the mission wasn't excessively dangerous as long as they were careful and the information was accurate.

Moreover, the multicoloured egg was invaluable to Ron. The last time he obtained a red egg—a defective version of the multicoloured egg—it still significantly enhanced his body and vitality.

This time, a genuine multicoloured egg promised even greater benefits. (T/n Btw it is one of the wounders of the world items, like the father bone that had/has strong poison)

---

Back at the Sky Arena, Ron briefed Nina and Sally.

"I'll be away for a task starting tomorrow. It'll take about ten days. During this time, I'll need you two to ensure Killua's safety—day and night, just like yesterday, but more thorough."

Nina and Sally exchanged glances before nodding. "No problem."

"Thanks. I'm counting on you."

Ron packed light. Most of his essentials were stored in Killer Queen's body space, so he only needed to replenish water and emergency food.

That night, Ron entered deep sleep to prepare himself.

---

The next morning, Ron left the Sky Arena early. Nina and Sally also departed shortly after.

A car pulled up in front of Ron. The window rolled down, revealing Silva behind the wheel.

Ron got in, taking the passenger seat.

"The mission target isn't far—about three hours away," Silva began. "I'll explain the details on the way."

"The target is located at a temple."

"A monk's corpse is what we're after."

"The client is someone from the Kakin Empire."

"Our job is to kill the monk in the temple and retrieve the body."

"The monks aren't strong," Silva said, "but the temple itself is peculiar."

"I've sent you the detailed information via email. Take a look."

Ron opened the email and scanned the details.

"The Ganlu Temple?"

Ron raised an eyebrow. The name struck a chord of familiarity for some reason.

The temple housed 101 monks. A hundred were ordinary individuals—neither Nen users nor skilled fighters.

However, the temple's abbot was exceptional. (t/n btw An abbot is the male head of a monastery.)

The client from the Kakin Empire specifically wanted the abbot's body. According to Silva's intel, the abbot was a formidable Nen user, at a solid B-rank level. Additionally, the temple environment significantly enhanced his abilities.

Ron's role was to unleash his aura in a massive burst while Silva acted, weakening the temple's support for the abbot.

In essence, the temple itself functioned like a living organism. If only Silva confronted the abbot, the temple would channel all its energy to support the abbot.

By involving Ron, the temple's power would split, reducing its effectiveness for the abbot and allowing Silva to complete the mission safely.

Ron activated his Nen Beast, Chii, who appeared in the back seat.

"Chii, search for information about Ganlu Temple."

Within moments, Chii had collected and organized all available online data about the temple, sending it to Ron's phone.

"A seemingly ordinary temple?" Ron mused, skimming the information. "Its main offerings are prayers for children?"
