The Strongest Brain in the Interstellar

Chapter 215 - Everything You Could Ask For

“This is possible too…” Min Hao looked at the three who seemed a bit stunned by the unexpected surprise, and couldn’t help but shake his head and laugh.

“All along, we were worried about them, and now they’re the most at ease,” Captain Nordbye also chuckled, unable to suppress his amusement.

It wasn’t that they were overly concerned about these kids, but their performance had been so amusing. Unexpected, yes, but it had truly opened up the situation, and even among the many exceptional contestants in the competition, they stood out impressively.

That “roller coaster” moment had actually frightened them a little. But when they saw the protective barriers extending from the resource box, both of them breathed a sigh of relief.

“Sigh, this is going to give someone a heart attack. Who came up with the idea for this course? A simple orienteering race, yet they managed to make it more exciting than the campus battle. By the end of the year, it’ll make the other events look dull in comparison.”

Min Hao remained silent for quite a while. Captain Nordbye, a little puzzled, looked over at him and saw that Min Hao was staring at the holographic screen, seemingly focused on something.

“What is this…?”

“Oh, it’s Lieutenant Lando. Earlier, in a moment of urgency, I tried to contact him. He’s asking about something.”

“Why did you contact him? He’s the busiest person in the whole arena. He probably had to make time just to reply.”

Roy Lando was the squad leader of their command class, a lieutenant. Though he was just a lieutenant, he was quite a well-known figure at Beska Academy.

Despite his youth, Lando had participated in many major battles. While his achievements might not have been outstanding, his experience surpassed that of many faculty members at Beska Academy.

Moreover, he was an experienced commander, and since he had joined the academy, he often assisted in various activities, taking on leadership roles. Naturally, this event was no exception.

As the overall commander, he had to oversee both the competition field and the stands, manage the security arrangements for all areas, coordinate emergency external communications, and handle other important duties. The person was truly busy—not just in name. So busy, in fact, that he didn’t even have time to watch his own students’ competitions. That’s why his seat among the instructors had remained empty.

Min Hao, feeling a bit flustered earlier, had reached out to him in desperation. After all, he was in charge of the overall coordination, and any rescue actions would be much faster coming from him than from those of them who were just anxiously waiting.

However, by the time the other party hadn’t replied yet, Jiang Hui and the others had already been safely relocated.

Bullets, mental energy supplements, physical strength boosters, clotting agents, Namibia gel patches, nutritional fluids, assault rifles, handguns, particle disintegration guns, capsule pods, high-altitude tents, mechanical reclining chairs, and even retractable gel boats… along with other basic transportation tools…

“You think… we’re going to take all these out of the competition field? Will the school reclaim them?” Jiang Hui’s first thought was this.

The weapons, such as the guns, were obviously teaching tools. They were fakes. Not to mention the real ones are prohibitively expensive—if they were real, they definitely wouldn’t be casually stacked up in bulk like this.

But even just these items were more than enough. After all, they weren’t actual soldiers going to the battlefield. The teaching guns were enough for them to practice with. Buying all these tools must have cost quite a lot of interstellar credits.

And that’s not even considering the other items—nutritional fluids, supplements, basic medical supplies for healing, and all the strange outdoor survival gear in the back… That was a lot of money. The school was really going all out for this.

“Could it be that all the resources at this supply point are here?” Zhou Xuwen’s expression was odd.

Jiang Hui glanced around the surrounding environment and felt that it didn’t seem likely. If these were stockpiled items, there would have to be some kind of transit process. The resources would have to be moved onto the corresponding supply vehicle and then transported elsewhere. It was impossible for all these things to just quietly accumulate here without any sort of management.

These items, just like the supply vehicle that had brought them through a long journey to this spot, seemed out of place, almost as if this area was completely isolated. It even gave them the illusion that these things had been specifically prepared for them.

Jiang Hui quickly dismissed this unrealistic thought from her mind and hurriedly focused on packing the items. After all, their time was running out, and they couldn’t possibly take everything with them, right?

Though they had a lot of military packs, they came in different sizes. Some were small, so they could only fit in the smallest boxes, while others couldn’t fit into the larger boxes at all. In any case, they couldn’t take everything, which resembled a warehouse, so they had to make their choices within the fifteen-minute time limit.

Jiang Hui blinked and said, “Take as much ammunition, mental energy supplements, physical strength boosters, medical supplies, nutritional fluids, and weapons as you can carry. The rest, you can decide based on the situation. We’ll each pack our own… If we run out later, we can always swap things around. It’s like not putting all your eggs in one basket.”

The other two nodded in agreement, clearly having the same idea. They didn’t even need her to urge them. The three of them rushed to the opened box of ammunition as quickly as possible.

They worked in sync, one scooping, the other digging, and within moments, the box was emptied of all the ammunition.

Then, Huan Xian and Zhou Xuwen, in perfect coordination, simultaneously opened the lids of the other ten or so boxes. They grabbed and stuffed things into their packs as they went, taking anything they saw that was essential: ammunition, supplements, nutritional fluids, and so on.

As for the larger items, they all instinctively ignored them for the moment. They just glanced at them briefly, got a general idea of what was inside, and kept calculating in their minds.

But in the end, all their calculations couldn’t overcome the race against time. They became more and more chaotic as they stuffed things into their bags, not even bothering to check what they were taking. They just stuffed whatever they grabbed into the packs. By the time they stopped, they couldn’t even tell how much they had packed. All they knew was that their fingertips were slightly sore and warm, a sign they’d been rushing for too long.

“Stop, stop, stop! There’s only three minutes left, that’s enough. Look around and see if there’s any larger junk you can fit in. Although… it might not be useful, but the opportunity is rare,” Jiang Hui’s mind was clear. She knew that while these items might seem impressive, they wouldn’t actually be very useful in the actual field. Instead, they’d just take up space.

Items like the capsule pods and high-altitude tents were much more practical for their activities in the training grounds. So, while she was shouting instructions, she also picked up one or two of those items to stuff into the remaining available space.

Suddenly, she seemed to remember something. She rummaged through a few of the smaller bags and pulled out a bundle of rubberized wrapping paper. Luckily, when they had thrown things into the bags earlier, this had been flipped to the top, so retrieving it was effortless.

Jiang Hui spread the rubber paper completely and tossed it into the air. It was large enough to cover two people, about the size of two arm spans, and she laid it flat on the ground.

She then shoved a box filled with mixed firearms nearby, tipping it over. The guns spilled out all over the floor. Zhou Xuwen, who was closest, helped kick aside the weapons at the edges. Then, picking up the four corners, she rolled up the edges and bundled the guns into one large package.

Zhou Xuwen & Huan Xian: …So, the junk they picked up earlier actually turned out to be useful? They had underestimated its potential.
