The Strongest Brain in the Interstellar

Chapter 233 - T186 Team (Part 1)

“Really a clever little one,” Captain Lin Qi commented.

It wasn’t just these kids; even they wouldn’t have been able to react so quickly.

The design of this competition was different from previous years. In the past, most of the designs were created collectively by teachers from various fields, but this year it was redesigned by Dennis, which was a huge change. As a result, most of the teachers were unfamiliar with the competition’s process this year. Even the grade-level instructors only had a general summary in writing.

It wasn’t that Dennis had made the competition particularly difficult. After all, this was just a small test for new students; the competition didn’t include large-scale weapons or mecha combat. It had to be something within the students’ abilities; otherwise, it would lose the meaning of a competition.

However, despite being a simple competition made up of several stages, it tested the participants’ adaptability. The stages were all interlinked, one after another. Anyone who lacked the necessary skills would quickly be eliminated, and those who didn’t think things through or were simply unlucky were always at risk of being eliminated.

Dennis had thought everything through carefully. He fully considered the potential of an untrained student and the qualities they might show under pressure. The students who made it to the end would undoubtedly be the most outstanding among all the participants—this was unquestionable.

Of course, this perspective came from the students’ point of view. Most of the people present were trained soldiers, many of whom had gone through real combat training on the battlefield. Regardless of the situation, these were the real warriors who had come out of true combat. If they couldn’t outdo a group of students, then all their years of training had been in vain.

Among the remaining students, the three most promising teams were led by: Huo Qi from the first combat specialist class, Jiang Hui from the second class, and the Lava siblings from the third class.

It was quite evenly distributed. Three promising teams, each from a different class, with the military category being almost entirely dominated by the combat specialist class.

Of course, it wasn’t that all of these students were from the combat specialist class, but as of now, the team leaders and prominent figures just happened to come from these three classes.

Among these three teams, the one with the most complex composition was Jiang Hui’s temporary team, T186. Every member came from a different class and even represented three different majors, with varied abilities, each with their own strengths.

The most aggressive team was Huo Qi’s R256 team, where all five members were specifically chosen for their strong offensive capabilities. They almost didn’t need to coordinate; their strategy was based purely on offense, with each member’s strength determining the team’s leadership.

The R197 team led by the Lava siblings from the third class, while not as impressive as the other two, was the only team made up entirely of members from the same class. This meant that all five members came from the third class. They had trained together for nearly a month, giving them a level of familiarity that other teams couldn’t match, providing them with a distinct advantage in teamwork.

However, among these three teams, the most eye-catching team was actually a temporary one.

What stood out about them wasn’t just their performance but also the process of how they formed their team. It was unlike the others, who looked awkward or inevitable. Instead, it seemed like everything fell into place naturally, as if it was meant to be. Every encounter felt like it happened at just the right moment, as if they were destined to meet. And as for their chemistry, while these four could be said to either have good or no chemistry at all, there were times when they acted individually, thinking their own thoughts. Yet, the final result was always harmonious. They truly were a peculiar team, and it was hard to predict what kind of perspective the final team member would bring to them.

These four people… aside from Jiang Hui and Huan Xian, who have already been analyzed extensively, the newly added Xierman hasn’t shown much yet, but deep down, he’s also a tough person. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so determined to seek revenge for so long. However, there’s not much about him that stands out or shines. Among the four, only Zhou Xiuwen is still hard to judge.

To be honest, this person made a huge impact on the day he entered their school. Whether people had met him or not, almost everyone had at least heard his name and knew about his frightening background. Although he was incredibly low-key during his time at school, no one would forget his identity.

Most people who had interacted with him would say that Zhou Xiaowen was completely different from his father, feeling overly gentle, carefree, and seemingly like a young master who didn’t belong to the real world.

However, during the competition, his performance gradually changed everyone’s perception of him. He absolutely couldn’t be as simple and ordinary as he appeared.

A student with no background in command training yet possessing an innate talent for leadership, and even able to quickly master the skills in a short time, which could be explained by inheriting his father, Marshal Zhou’s abilities. But it was clear that this influential figure didn’t seem to have any intention of training his son to follow that path, and it seemed like the father and son were content with a life of simplicity.

But to say he was ordinary… that didn’t seem to be the case. In the competition, not only was he quick-witted and highly adaptable, but he was also well-versed in medical knowledge and various survival skills… none of this seemed to be the product of ordinary training. Did Marshal Zhou really want his son to live a normal life, or was it that no matter how wealthy or powerful a family was, they could never raise a mediocre person?

If the above was just basic knowledge, not only Zhou Xiuwen had it, but so did Jiang Hui and Huan Xian, perhaps even better. But what really surprised people was his action of stopping his teammates from entering the energy charging range.

They had seen this main energy charging block at the supply points before, and it was exactly what all the students needed the most. Any student who saw it would almost instinctively approach it to use it. It was hard to imagine the competition organizers having set up a subtle trap behind this.

Both Huan Xian and Jiang Hui had considered the possibility, but they only thought about the lack of a marker, not connecting it to the main energy block. Only Zhou Xiuwen was able to react correctly, realizing something was wrong, and persuaded his teammates to stop, against the majority opinion.

In the end, he was right. Almost everyone else, even Huo Qi from the first class, jumped right into this trap without hesitation, revealing their positions—except for the four of them.

Everyone else revealed their positions immediately, except for them. This allowed them to secure an invincible position. If they could plan it well, seizing the initiative wasn’t impossible.

“Well done, T186 team. They’ve really figured this out.” Shari Fang from Class 7 couldn’t help but clap and laugh. She was a calm female officer who had to transition to a desk job due to injury early on. In recent years, she had moved into military academy education, always serious about teaching her students. Since the competition began, she had been quietly watching the students compete, rarely expressing opinions. Seeing this, even she couldn’t help but praise them.

Now, it was time to see how they would plan their next move…
