Chapter 67: CHAPTER 67
And the leading man is the Devil King of all demons!
Alastor didn't care about Gan Fall and the others' thoughts. He turned to his subordinates and commanded:
"Let this guy understand his place in the future. You can use any means—just make sure not to kill him."
The members of the Hundred Beasts Pirates lit up at the order, their eyes gleaming with excitement. Licking their lips, they replied eagerly, "Yes, Master Alastor!"
Without delay, a dozen fierce, muscular men, their faces bruised but brimming with animalistic power, surrounded Enel.
Enel, fallen to the ground, watched the approaching men with fear. His face turned pale as he stammered in terror:
"No! Don't come any closer!"
Alastor paid no mind to what followed.
He made his way to Enel's shrine, where years of ruling Sky Island had allowed the self-proclaimed god to hoard an abundance of food. The supplies were more than sufficient for Alastor to recover from his injuries.
Feeling content, Alastor sat down to eat and casually glanced at his system panel:
[Host: Alastor]
[Age: 20]
[Defense Power: 4250]
Though Enel was a waste in terms of individual skills, his thunder-based attacks were immensely powerful, rivaling those of the Three Admirals. Alastor had spared him for one reason: to exploit Enel's power to boost his own defenses and use him as a living power source.
Whether Enel would submit obediently depended on how much torture he could endure from the villains of the Hundred Beasts Pirates.
From afar, Alastor could hear Enel's screams echoing from the shrine.
At the entrance stood Shimotsuki Onimaru and Sai.
Sai was peeking curiously when his eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.
"Damn it! They're actually parading the god of Sky Island like a dog in the streets. That's just brutal!"
Indeed.
Enel was being dragged through Sky Island Town, crawling on all fours like a dog, with a real dog leading him on a leash. Every time he tried to stand, Nazhen would smack his knees, forcing him back down.
The townsfolk of Sky Island were in disbelief.
The omnipotent god, the supreme Enel, was... crawling like a dog?
It was beyond imagination.
Their disbelief was shattered when Gan Fall, the previous Sky Island god, stepped forward to address them:
"Everyone, as you can see, Enel has been defeated. Our Sky Island is finally free from his tyranny!"
The crowd erupted into cheers after a moment of stunned silence.
Years of hatred boiled over, and the Sky Islanders unleashed their pent-up anger on Enel. Rotten eggs flew through the air, pelting his humiliated body, and even a clump of dung hit him square in the face.
Unable to bear the humiliation, Enel fainted.
Poor Enel was at the mercy of the Hundred Beasts Pirates.
The once-arrogant god who had crushed Sky Islanders like ants was now a broken figure, fainting from the villagers' jeers and torment.
He was rudely awakened by a bucket of icy cold water.
"Wake up, mutt! Lord Alastor has work for you!"
Hearing himself being called a dog, Enel's initial reaction was fury. He wanted to obliterate the speaker with a thunderous strike.
But reality struck cruelly when he opened his eyes.
He was locked in a cage, surrounded by sneering, muscular men.
Terror gripped him as he recognized his tormentors, memories of their unspeakable tortures flooding back.
"Finally awake, huh?" sneered a scar-faced man with a sinister grin. "If you hadn't woken up, I was going to let bugs crawl into your nose."
Enel trembled violently. This man, a user of the Bug-Bug Fruit, had subjected him to horrors beyond imagination.
"Come on." The scar-faced man dragged Enel's cage forward, ignoring his desperate attempts to resist.
In the distance, Alastor waited.
Upon arrival, the scar-faced man bowed respectfully. "Lord Alastor, I've brought him."
Alastor nodded before turning his gaze to Enel.
The trembling Enel's face was a mask of fear, but beneath it, Alastor could sense his burning hatred. Given the chance, Enel would unleash his most devastating thunderbolts to destroy everyone around him.
But that chance would never come.
The cage imprisoning Enel was made of Sea-Prism Stone.
"If you aren't completely stupid, you'll do exactly as I say," Alastor said coldly.
Enel gritted his teeth, unwilling to comply. But the scar-faced man's glare made him reconsider. Reluctantly, he nodded.
"Good."
Alastor stepped aside to reveal a massive pile of gold—an ark, a golden clock, and several thick pillars of gold.
Enel's eyes widened in recognition.
"My Ark Maxim... It's my ark for reaching the Endless Vearth!"
Before Enel could finish speaking, the scar-faced man slapped him hard.
"You bastard! How dare you disrespect Master Alastor? Do whatever Master Alastor orders you to do!"
Enel's nose was bruised, and his face swelled immediately. He didn't dare utter another word, though the resentment in his heart multiplied tenfold.
Gritting his teeth, he reluctantly melted the golden ship he had spent years building, along with the golden bell and pillars. All of it was fused into a massive golden ball.
Sai stared in disbelief. "Such a huge golden ball—it won't fit on a warship!"
"If it doesn't fit, we'll use a raft to drag it," Alastor replied calmly.
Since he had ordered Enel to melt all the gold into one ball, he had already planned for the logistics. Alastor had tasked his subordinates with using the hardest Sky Island trees to build a gigantic raft, sturdy enough to support the golden sphere.
This way, they could transport the gold off Sky Island and bring it back to Wano Country.
As for the Poneglyph still present on Sky Island, Alastor had no interest in it. He already knew the content carved into the ancient stone.
However, he wasn't in a hurry to leave. The shrine still had an abundant supply of food, enough to replenish his strength.
Approaching Enel, he ordered, "Discharge. Shock me with your lightning."
Enel blinked in disbelief. "Huh?"
It was the first time in his life anyone had made such a request.
After confirming that Alastor was serious, Enel's shock turned to exhilaration.
In his mind, he roared: "Is this guy insane? Letting me hit him with electricity? Yehahaha! This is my chance to kill him and escape!"
Fueled by newfound hope, Enel released an enormous charge without hesitation.
"Discharge: 100 Million Volts!"
Zap!
A terrifying electric current coursed through Alastor's body, making his hair stand on end. The electricity invaded his body, destroying cells with its intense power.
"No human could survive 100 million volts. Die! Just die!" Enel thought, his eyes wild with madness.
But when the discharge ended, Alastor stood unharmed. A wisp of white smoke rose from his body as he exhaled, sighing with satisfaction:
"Refreshing."
Without a care, he turned and walked off to eat, leaving Enel dumbfounded in his cage.
The cage's mechanism allowed it to fully close the gaps, ensuring Enel had no chance of escape.
Alastor swept through the shrine's food stores, consuming enough to fully recover from his injuries.
It was time to leave.
Reaching Sky Island had been troublesome, and descending with such a massive golden ball wouldn't be easy either. Fortunately, Gan Fall, now reinstated as the god of Sky Island, provided a solution.
"There are octopus balloons on Sky Island that can safely lower you and your group to the Blue Sea," Gan Fall explained respectfully.
Though Gan Fall viewed Alastor and his crew as terrifying monsters, he couldn't deny they had defeated Enel and saved Sky Island. Being a man of gratitude, he summoned several octopus balloons to help them descend safely.
Once Alastor and his party disappeared into the horizon, Gan Fall breathed a sigh of relief.
"Finally, they're all gone," he muttered, wiping sweat from his brow.
Even though Alastor hadn't harmed him, Gan Fall felt immense psychological pressure simply standing before the man.
With Sky Island finally free, Gan Fall turned his attention to restoring peace with the Shandians, his first priority as leader.
The Endless Sea
A navy warship drifted slowly across the calm ocean.
On the deck, a lazy man wearing an eye mask lounged on a chair, napping under the sun.
Nearby sat another man, puffing on two cigars at once, his head wrapped in bandages.
Smoker took a deep drag, his brows furrowing as he crumpled the newspaper in his hand in frustration.
"Damn it! What the hell is wrong with the higher-ups? They're giving me credit for defeating Crocodile!"
The lazy man in the chair didn't respond.
Instead, a tall, elegant female officer approached from behind.
She exhaled a thin stream of smoke from her cigarette and said, "The Navy needs to maintain appearances. They can't admit that Alabasta was saved by pirates, can they?"
"Even if they want to save face, they shouldn't twist the truth like this!" Smoker snapped.
