THE STRONGEST CREATURE OF THE BEAST PIRATES

Chapter 91: CHAPTER 91

Sabo's expression was uncharacteristically grave, a seriousness Koala had rarely seen from him. She understood immediately that there was no room for argument. With a resolute nod, she replied, "I understand."

Sabo gave her a grateful look before departing to join Luffy on the fateful mission to Marineford to rescue Portgas D. Ace.

Meanwhile, in Wano Country, a figure shrouded in thunder and lightning prepared for his journey. Alastor, known as "Thunder Calamity," set his sights on Punk Hazard.

For someone like Alastor, using a boat was impractical—far too slow to suit his purposes. Instead, he soared through the skies, moving at lightning speed, his body crackling with raw energy. Alastor's power allowed him to generate and store electricity within his cells, and as he pushed his limits, his capacity grew exponentially.

At first, he could store up to 200 million volts of electricity, a feat rivaling the infamous God Enel of Skypiea. However, Alastor had since surpassed Enel. After rigorous training and adaptation, his cells now held a staggering 300 million volts—well beyond the 200 million volts Enel achieved in his prime without external assistance. Alastor had truly earned his title as "Thunder Calamity," a name feared across the Grand Line.

Unlike Enel, who relied on brute force, Alastor had mastered the precise control of his electrical power. Every spark, every surge of voltage within his body could now be harnessed with finesse. On his journey, he replenished his energy by deliberately entering thunderstorms, allowing himself to be struck by lightning—a process that left him exhilarated, while the people below mistook him for a celestial being or an omen of disaster.

Traveling at such incredible speed, Alastor reached Punk Hazard in just half a day. When his electrifying form descended upon the island, Viola and Rebecca, waiting on a high plateau, could only stare in stunned silence.

Their mouths fell open, and for a moment, they wondered if a god had descended.

Alastor smirked, landing with a faint crackle of energy. "What's with those looks? It's only been a few days," he teased.

Viola's eyes sparkled as she regarded him. "Now I see why they call you Thunder Calamity. That kind of power… it's almost divine."

Rebecca, in her artificial dragon form granted by the Pink Dragon Smile Fruit, blushed deeply, her scales shifting hues. Alastor approached her, his hand trailing across her gleaming pink scales and up to her delicate dragon horns.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say this form suits you better than that runt Momonosuke," he quipped, his voice filled with amusement.

Rebecca's dragon body trembled slightly. If she had been in her human form, her flushed face would have given her emotions away entirely.

"Still," Alastor continued, tapping her horn lightly, "controlling this power takes time. This artificial Dragon Fruit might be a product of Caesar Clown, but its strength is no less than that of a real Zoan Fruit. You'll master it, Rebecca. After all, you've survived far worse trials, haven't you?"

Moved by his words, Rebecca nudged her dragon head against Alastor's hand and declared, "I'll do my best, Brother Alastor!"

Viola, observing the scene, rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Rebecca, don't let him charm you so easily," she muttered under her breath, though a small smile played on her lips.

Alastor chuckled, stepping back. "You two wait here. I've got business to take care of."

With that, his body dissolved into a flash of lightning, vanishing into the skies.

Elsewhere on the island, Trafalgar Law and the Heart Pirates were surveying the desolate terrain of Punk Hazard. The poisonous gas left behind by Caesar Clown still lingered, forcing the crew to wear protective gear. Using his Room ability, Law ensured his crew's safety as they navigated the toxic wasteland.

"Captain," Beppo called out, his voice tinged with concern. "There are survivors, but… most of them are missing their legs!"

Law's expression darkened. The gas hadn't killed everyone, but those who survived had been maimed beyond recovery. The sight brought back memories of Flevance, the White City, where he had watched his own people succumb to the horrors of the Amber Lead Syndrome. If not for Corazon, he too would have perished in pain and despair.

"We're not leaving them here," Law said firmly. "Prepare to treat them. They're not dying on this island."

His crew moved quickly to follow his orders. Law wasn't acting out of blind sympathy—he knew all too well that even in the brutal world of piracy, strategic alliances could be forged from shared suffering.

For Trafalgar Law, these people weren't just victims—they had potential value to him.

He knew that if he gave them the ability to walk again, their gratitude would turn into unwavering loyalty. Their knowledge of Punk Hazard, combined with their newfound devotion, could become instrumental to his covert plans on the island.

As Law carefully calculated his next steps, a thought solidified in his mind:

"Once I save these people and secure their allegiance, I'll negotiate with the Navy to claim a spot as a Shichibukai. That will give me legitimate access to Punk Hazard, allowing me to destroy the SAD production facility used for creating Smile fruits. Even if I can't eliminate Doflamingo directly, cutting off his supply of Smile fruits will force Kaido to turn his wrath on him. Without his trump card, Doflamingo won't stand a chance."

The timing was perfect. With Crocodile and Moria removed from the Shichibukai ranks, and Blackbeard having filled one vacancy, there was still one open position. Law intended to claim it.

Turning to his crew, Law issued orders with precision:

"Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin—bring the survivors here. The rest of you, search the island for any animals that haven't succumbed to the poison."

The Heart Pirates got to work, their movements swift and organized. Law's ability with the Ope Ope no Mi was invaluable. Using his surgical expertise and Devil Fruit powers, he transplanted the limbs of animals onto the paralyzed survivors. The result was crude but effective—they could walk again.

As Law predicted, their gratitude was overwhelming. The survivors, once hopeless and broken, now pledged their undying loyalty to him.

Law observed them silently, his expression unreadable. He had achieved the first step of his plan, but just as he was about to speak, a sudden rumble in the sky interrupted him.

Bepo's ears twitched as he looked up. "Captain! It's thunder! Looks like it's going to rain—better get the clothes off the line!"

But the rumble faded as quickly as it had come.

"Eh?" Bepo scratched his head. "No rain?"

Law's expression darkened, his sharp instincts picking up on something unusual. "That's no ordinary thunder," he said quietly. "It's… something else. I think I saw a shadow."

The crew froze. "A shadow?" Shachi asked, incredulous. "In this weather?"

Law's gaze shifted to a distant part of the island. His heart sank as realization dawned. The unnatural feeling he'd sensed since arriving on Punk Hazard was back—and stronger than ever.

"Everyone, prepare to leave immediately!" Law barked.

But it was too late.

The sky erupted with a deafening roar, and arcs of lightning surged downward with terrifying intensity. This time, the thunder was louder, closer, and unmistakably deliberate.

The crew instinctively looked up. What they saw froze them in place: a figure descending from the storm, wreathed in blazing electricity.

The sheer presence of the figure was overwhelming. The air crackled with energy, and the poisonous gas around them dissipated under the pressure of the lightning.

"C-Captain," Bepo stammered, trembling. "Is that… the God of Thunder?"

"No," Law said grimly. His voice was steady, but his eyes betrayed his unease. "It's not a god. That's Alastor, the Thunder Calamity. You've heard of him before—he made waves at the Sabaody Archipelago. He's the man who killed a Celestial Dragon."

The crew paled.

"The man who killed a Celestial Dragon?" Penguin whispered, his voice filled with fear. "Isn't that… impossible?"

"Celestial Dragons are descendants of the Creator Gods," Shachi added. "But this guy… he wiped one out. He's more terrifying than any god."

"What do we do, Captain?"

Law didn't have an answer. His carefully laid plans were unraveling before his eyes. How could Alastor have known? He hadn't even begun his operation to dismantle the Smile network.

The thunder intensified, and with a final flash of lightning, Alastor's tall figure materialized in front of them. His eyes glowed with violet electricity, and his voice crackled with power as he spoke:

"Boy, you have two choices," Alastor said with a faint smirk. "Give up your heart, or lose your head."

For Trafalgar Law, this ultimatum carried a weight far heavier than it would for anyone else. As the wielder of the Ope Ope no Mi, he could remove his own heart or the hearts of others without affecting his life force. But once a heart was isolated, it became a liability.

A damaged heart would cause its owner pain. A stopped heart would mean death.

To surrender his heart to Alastor would be to hand over his life.

Law clenched his fists, his expression hardening. "Sorry," he said coolly, "but I don't like either of those options."
