Chapter 24: The First Score Of The New Semester, From Slytherin!
"Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts."
"Anyone who tries to misbehave in my class, I will send them out and they will never be allowed to come back. I have warned you."
"Transfiguration is extensive and profound, and it can be regarded as a subject alone, which proves what I just said."
"As this is the first class you have on this subject, let's start by learning what transfiguration is."
Professor McGonagall waved her wand and the desk behind her turned into a fat little pig.
Lucas looked at the pig running around and showed unprecedented interest.
Turning an object into a living animal.
This is probably a very advanced level of Transfiguration.
Seeing the shocked look on her students' faces, Professor McGonagall's lip raised slightly into an almost imperceptible smile, she really liked this feeling.
"Put away your surprised expressions, as long as you listen carefully, you can do it as well in the future."
Then she proceeded to explain the basics of transfiguration before allowing them to use their wands to practice.
"Okay, today I'm going to teach you how to turn a match into a silver needle."
It was still Professor McGonagall who took the lead in demonstrating.
Then she asked the crowd to wave their wands in a fixed line until everyone memorized the spell and wand movements clearly.
Only then did she distribute the matches to every student.
Lucas looked at the matches on the table and couldn't help but wave his wand.
Thanks to a good Transfiguration talent he turned his match into a silver needle in one stroke.
This made him even more interested.
Carefully recalling Professor McGonagall's movement when casting her spell on the desk, he waved his wand again.
This time, the silver needle turned into a dung beetle after a while of twisting.
It's a well known fact that the more complicated and difficult the change, the more power it needs to consume.
To turn a dead thing into a living thing, the strength required is at least a fifth grade student.
Watching the dung beetle crawling around Lucas smiled, and kept waving his wand.
He turned the beetle into a water cup first, then into a mouse and so on.
He was having such a great time that he forgot that there was someone else sitting beside him.
Feeling Lucas' movement, Draco glanced to the side inadvertently and immediately afterwards, his exclamation sounded in the classroom.
"Merlin! How did you do it?"
Professor McGonagall turned around in displeasure: "Mr. Malfoy, I think you should be..."
The little lions looked gloating since they were about to watch a Slytherin be reprimanded, but suddenly, they found that their head of house's words stopped.
Everyone followed her gaze to Lucas and were immediately attracted by the ever-changing transfiguration on his table.
"Oh~ Merlin, Mr. Grindelwald, I have to say that you have an excellent talent for transfiguration, 10 points for Slytherin."
Professor McGonagall happily announced it to everyone.
As soon as she finished speaking, the sound of the system rang in Lucas' head.
[Congratulations to the host for obtaining a new achievement: the top spot; reward: 50 achievement points.]
[Congratulations to the host for obtaining a new achievement: a successful start; reward: 50 achievement points.]
[Congratulations to the host for obtaining a new achievement: the best in history; achievement: 100 achievement points.]
Lucas took a deep breath, really worthy of Hogwarts, just the first class brought him 200 achievement points.
The achievement of winning the first points can only be obtained by the first student who earns extra points at the beginning of the semester.
It was a successful start because Lucas was the first one to add points to Slytherin this semester.
The last best achievement in history shows that the speed with which he cast the Transfiguration just now has entered the top three in Hogwarts' historical results.
Thinking of the follow-up, there are so many courses and so many unknown places in the Castle that can be explored.
Lucas suddenly cheered up.
In his opinion, these are all achievement points, and they are there to help to make him stronger.
...
"Hey Ron, look, Lucas is awesome."
Seeing the happy eyes of his friend Ron was filled with envy and said with some displeasure: "Harry, he's a Slytherin, didn't you see the way he looked this morning? Making everyone wait for him just to eat? Isn't it a bit overbearing?."
Harry smiled awkwardly.
He knew in his heart that Ron didn't like him talking about Lucas.
But, he really thought Lucas was a nice guy.
Ron didn't notice Harry's awkward expression.
He looked at all the praise Lucas received and felt uncomfortable in his heart.
"Isn't it just changing something into an animal? I can do it too."
His words immediately caught the attention of his friend Harry and under the gaze of the other party, Ron said the spell and waved his wand again and again.
~boom!~
There was a flash of light and the table in front of Ron suddenly grew several legs which then started to go on a rampage making a mess of the classroom.
"Mr. Weasley, as I said at the beginning, Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous form of magic."
"But you don't seem to have listened to my words, because of your recklessness, I have to deduct five points from Gryffindor."
"Oh, please Professor McGonagall, I know I was wrong, it's just a small mistake."
Professor McGonagall ignored Ron's pleas.
And just when she was about to deal with the mess left by Weasley there was another loud noise not far away, and black smoke filled the entire classroom immediately.
