Chapter 274: Eriri, forever God!
The Bible Loli Goddess slowly opened her eyes, though they carried a trace of confusion, evidently unsure of her current situation.
However, she quickly became aware of something unusual happening to her chest. Lowering her gaze, she discovered two restless hands boldly making mischief.
"Ah! W-what are you doing?!" The Bible Loli Goddess panicked, her voice trembling as she encountered a situation she had never faced before. A unique sensation began coursing through her body—something she had never experienced in her existence.
While she had always maintained a dignified demeanor in front of angels, her inner self was still akin to a young girl.
The Loli Goddess stretched out her slender hands, attempting to remove Eriri's hands from her chest. But she soon realized she had no control over her body.
"Oh? You're awake?" Eriri looked calmly at the blushing Loli Goddess, but her mischievous hands showed no sign of stopping.
"C-could you please… move your hands away?" the Loli Goddess meekly pleaded, her expression filled with a mix of embarrassment and helplessness that only made her more endearing.
The Loli Goddess's thoughts churned. She vividly remembered the circumstances of her fall and the decision to seal her last remaining sliver of a soul within the True Longinus.
Now, however, it was clear she had been resurrected. Despite her immobilized state, she could sense that her current strength surpassed even her peak.
The golden-haired girl standing before her was undoubtedly the one responsible for both her resurrection and her current predicament.
"Oh, you mean this?" Eriri teased, flashing a grin. "My hands just moved on their own, you know? Besides, your soul was nurtured by me, and your body was created by me. Technically, your entire existence belongs to me now."
"Ah… that…" The Loli Goddess froze, realizing Eriri's claim was not entirely unfounded. She was at a loss for words, merely staring at Eriri with a mixture of shock and disbelief.
And yet, despite the circumstances, her feelings toward Eriri were overwhelmingly positive.
Part of it was instinctive—her body and soul were fundamentally connected to Eriri's energy. The other part stemmed from immense gratitude for her revival.
However, Eriri didn't continue her teasing for long. She soon retracted her hands and released the restraints on the Loli Goddess's body.
Finally able to move again, the Loli Goddess gracefully descended to the soft carpet beneath her feet. A moment later, a shimmering white gown materialized, covering her delicate figure.
"Phew… it feels good to be alive again." Stretching her limbs, the Loli Goddess's expression softened into a relaxed smile. Then, she turned her gaze toward Eriri. "By the way, you must have found me within the True Longinus, right?"
Although she phrased it as a question, her tone carried little doubt. Without waiting for a response, she continued, "Normally, there would have been no hope for my revival. Leaving that fragment of my soul in the Holy Spear was merely an act of sentimentality.
"I cannot fathom the cost you must have borne to resurrect me. Your power must truly be extraordinary—perhaps even greater than the two Dragon Gods. But why have I never heard of someone like you? Are you… from another world?"
As she spoke, curiosity gleamed in her eyes.
"Reviving you? Oh, that was nothing—just a simple flick of the wrist," Eriri replied with a dismissive wave. "Take your current body, for instance. Creating it only took, let's see… about one second?"
"One… second…" The Loli Goddess blinked in stunned silence, unable to comprehend such power.
"Impressive, isn't it?" Eriri chuckled. "Also, yes, you're right—I'm not from your world. But I'm not from the 'other worlds' you're familiar with either."
"I see…"
Although her curiosity deepened, the Loli Goddess refrained from asking further. Despite learning that Eriri hailed from beyond her reality, her affection and admiration for the golden-haired girl only grew.
"Thank you so much for everything!" The Loli Goddess bowed deeply, her voice filled with sincere gratitude. Her demeanor was one of utmost politeness.
"Oh, don't mention it. I was only helping myself, really," Eriri said with a sly smile, reaching out to pinch the Loli Goddess's soft cheek. "Don't forget—you're my property now."
"Um… about that…"
"Nope. Non-negotiable."
"… I get it. I get it!" The Loli Goddess gave up, puffing out her cheeks in an adorably indignant pout.
"Good girl," Eriri cooed, scratching gently under her chin like she would a cat. "By the way, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Eriri—Eriri Spencer Sawamura. And you?"
"Call me… 'Seira,'" the Loli Goddess replied.
"Alright, little Seira. Let's get along well."
"… Mm."
Half an hour later, Eriri had convinced Seira to swap her elaborate ceremonial gown for a simple white dress.
During this time, the two talked extensively about their respective experiences. Seira recounted her time as the leader of Heaven and her battle against the Apocalyptic Beast 666. In turn, Eriri shared information about her background and what she knew about the High School DxD world.
Eriri didn't hide the existence of the chat group or the nature of the multiverse. Since Seira was now part of her inner circle, it was only a matter of time before she would learn about it anyway.
Their growing familiarity only strengthened the bond between them.
Currently, Seira leaned back against Eriri, nestled comfortably in her embrace. Eriri's arms were wrapped snugly around her waist.
"Eriri, I want to return to the DxD world," Seira murmured, tilting her head to gaze at Eriri with hopeful eyes. "From your descriptions, it seems the administration of Heaven is in complete disarray. As the Bible God, it's my responsibility to set things right—and to let the other pantheons know that I'm still alive."
"Of course, you can. Even though you're technically mine now, I won't restrict your freedom," Eriri replied with a gentle smile.
"Thank you," Seira said gratefully before adding, "But before I return, I would like to meet someone you mentioned earlier—Asia."
Earlier, when Eriri told Seira about the events in the High School DxD world, she also shared the story of how Asia had been exiled by the Church. Seira couldn't help but feel apologetic toward Asia.
"Sure, I'll take you to meet her. You can also get to know everyone else at home," Eriri agreed without hesitation. One of her intentions in reviving Seira was to surprise Asia.
As a devout believer, Asia would undoubtedly be thrilled and overwhelmed when she met the God she worshiped in person.
Without further delay, Eriri led Seira toward Asia's room. Upon entering, she immediately spotted Asia diligently studying at her desk.
The sound of the door opening caught Asia's attention. When she saw Eriri, she quickly stood up, her face lighting up with delight as she hurried over, abandoning her studies without a second thought.
"Eriri, why are you here?" she asked, her voice brimming with joy.
"I came to check on you and introduce you to someone," Eriri replied, gesturing toward Seira. "She's from the High School DxD world too."
Asia blinked in surprise. As far as she knew, the only people Eriri knew from that world were Rias and her group, whom she had already met.
But her curiosity was soon answered when Seira followed Eriri into the room. The moment Asia sensed the overwhelming holy power radiating from Seira, her eyes widened, and her excitement soared.
Asia was no longer the frail girl who could only heal but lacked the strength to protect herself. Thanks to Eriri's thorough training (and occasional teasing), Asia had reached the peak of Level 3 in strength—enough to rival even the Four Great Seraphs of Heaven.
Yet, the sheer power emanating from Seira was hundreds, thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of times greater. Considering Seira was also from the High School DxD world, there could only be one answer.
"Are you…God?" Asia clasped her hands to her chest, her voice trembling with emotion.
"Yes, I am the God of the Bible," Seira confirmed with a soft smile as she approached Asia. She released her holy power, causing visible waves of sacred light to ripple around her.
"I declare to you now, Asia, that you are neither a heretic nor a witch. By my authority as the God of the Bible, I recognize you as a true Saint!"
Hearing Seira's affirmation, Asia couldn't hold back her tears. The years of silent grievances buried deep within her heart rushed to the surface, and she wept openly.
"Oh, Lord, thank you for your grace," she cried.
Asia felt an overwhelming sense of fulfillment. Living with Eriri had brought her immense joy and happiness, but her banishment by the Church had remained a sore point—hidden deep within her heart and never outwardly expressed.
Growing up in the Church, her faith in the God of the Bible had been ingrained in her from a young age, lasting for over a decade. Such a deep-rooted belief couldn't simply be erased.
For some, surpassing the strength of their once-revered deities would prompt them to abandon their faith, or worse, spitefully desecrate the idols they once worshiped.
But for Asia, her faith transcended her power. It was unwavering and independent of her strength.
However, while the God of the Bible held an irreplaceable position in Asia's heart, Eriri's presence had already surpassed that of any deity.
To Asia, her feelings for the God of the Bible were akin to reverence and respect for an elder, while her feelings for Eriri encompassed both familial love and romantic devotion.
If she were forced to choose between her faith and Eriri, she would reluctantly abandon her faith in favor of Eriri without hesitation.
Fortunately for Asia, such a dilemma was impossible. After all, the God of the Bible was now Eriri's possession, eliminating any potential conflict.
In conclusion: Eriri, forever God!
In another bedroom, Gabriel—who was unusually focused on using her points to strengthen herself rather than playing games—suddenly opened her eyes. Her gaze pierced through the walls toward Asia's room.
"That holy power… it's way too strong to be Asia. Did Eriri bring my sister here?"
Gabriel felt a wave of anxiety. If the source of this power really was her elder sister, Gabriel could be in trouble.
Her current lifestyle—skipping classes and indulging in games—was far from the image of a diligent angel-in-training. If caught, the consequences would not be minor.
With a nervous heart, Gabriel hastily made her way toward the source of the holy energy.
With her purpose fulfilled, Seira retracted her holy power, causing the radiant glow around her to fade. She then addressed Asia in a calm and gentle tone:
"Asia, I plan to return to the DxD world shortly. Would you like to accompany me? I will proclaim your status to the world and affirm your identity."
"No, Lord. Just meeting you and receiving your acknowledgment is enough. This place is my home now, and the matters of that world no longer concern me," Asia replied, shaking her head with a resolute expression.
However, her eyes betrayed a trace of regret. "It's just a shame that I won't be able to hear your teachings anymore."
"You don't have to worry about that, Asia," Eriri interjected with a light laugh, seamlessly picking up the conversation.
"Seira will be staying here with us from now on. She's already part of our family, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to see her in the future."
