Chapter 56: Chapter 51
Because the black cloak was too eye-catching, Akira didn't wear it anymore. Instead, he opted for a Tiga Ultraman mask as he headed to a more luxurious restaurant.
Of course, the mouth section of the mask was open; otherwise, eating would be impossible.
"When did I say you needed to cover up? Now you've come out with some Arrancar-style tool—does it even look good?" Pingyuan Xiong laughed.
"Stop talking nonsense and order your food!" Akira replied.
"Yes, boss, you have the final say." Pingyuan Xiong laughed as he opened the menu, his eyes gleaming with a sly green light. He proceeded to order the most expensive dishes. After all, he wasn't paying for it, so he might as well enjoy it.
Soon, the food arrived, and Akira's expression darkened. "Are you serious? Is this even human food? What *are* these things?"
The table was filled with extravagant dishes: Australian red dragon, king crab, geoduck, seafood deluxe, and mandarin duck seafood soup.
"I think you're just obsessed with seafood. Is that all you ordered?" Akira frowned at the extravagant spread. This meal would cost at least seven or eight thousand coins.
"Hahaha, how did you know I'm a big seafood enthusiast?" Pingyuan Xiong said proudly. "When I was young, my father took me out to sea to fish. Ever since then, I've loved seafood. If I don't eat it daily, I feel incomplete!"
"I think you just feel incomplete if you don't get beaten daily," Akira said dryly. "And what kind of doctor was your father to have raised a fisherman like you…"
"Oh, this goes back to my grandfather's time—" Pingyuan Xiong began to recount his family history, but Akira quickly interrupted, "Don't start talking about your grandfather and great-grandmother. I didn't invite you to dinner to listen to your family stories."
"Then, boss, what do you want to hear?" Pingyuan Xiong asked as he broke off a crab leg, dipped it into vinegar, and took a hearty bite.
Akira sighed, feeling a pang of regret. If he had known Pingyuan Xiong would order so extravagantly, he would have brought Sister Ying instead.
"I want to watch the battle of the Seven Sages," Akira said suddenly.
Pingyuan Xiong looked at him in surprise and paused mid-bite. "The battle of the Seven Sages? Those are almost impossible to see. They don't happen more than once every couple of months. You'd be lucky to catch a fight between the Five Kings. Be content with that."
"Content? The strength of the Five Kings is just average. If I want to make a name for myself, I need to be one of the Seven Sages," Akira said resolutely. He knew his limits—taking on the Three Emperors was out of the question. But challenging the lower ranks of the Seven Sages? That might be possible.
"One of the Seven Sages?" Pingyuan Xiong burst into laughter. "Did you soak your brain in fish oil? Hahaha!"
For Pingyuan Xiong, the Seven Sages were akin to the top-ranked professional heroes. Although there was no official ranking system in the underground Heroes arena, the Three Emperors and Seven Sages were universally acknowledged as the pinnacle of strength.
Akira, however, had another question in mind. Since the Three Emperors and Seven Sages were so powerful, wouldn't All For One know about them?
With All For One's strength, he should be able to defeat even the top of the Three Emperors, right? Or was the first Emperor's power so immense that even All For One couldn't match him? Alternatively, could the underground Heroes arena be backed by a force so formidable that even All For One hesitated to interfere?
These questions swirled in Akira's mind. He was certain that the underground Heroes arena concealed layers of power far beyond what he had encountered.
"Stop laughing. When do you think I'll get to see a Seven Sages battle?" Akira asked.
Pingyuan Xiong wiped his mouth with a napkin and said, "The Seven Sages only fight when challenged. But I think someone might challenge them soon."
Akira's eyes lit up as he realized who Pingyuan Xiong meant. "You're talking about that Barbarian Mountain guy from earlier, aren't you? He'll challenge the Seven Sages!"
Pingyuan Xiong nodded gravely. "That's right. Barbarian Mountain's strength is terrifying. He defeated Steel Cannon in one punch. Even the top-ranked member of the Five Kings couldn't do that."
"But it all depends on quirks," Pingyuan Xiong continued. "The first-ranked King, Miao Shanni, has a water-based quirk. I've never seen him fight, but I've heard he can turn his body into water. If that's true, Barbarian Mountain can't possibly win—there'd be no way to land a hit."
Akira shook his head. "You're overlooking something. Barbarian Mountain isn't just a power fighter. His quirk seems to generate impact force, which doesn't require direct contact. If he's strong enough, he could strike from a distance."
Pingyuan Xiong's expression turned serious. "If that's true, then Miao Shanni might really be in trouble. If Barbarian Mountain is targeting the Seven Sages, his first opponent will definitely be Miao Shanni."
