The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 258: 258:I Like You

"How do I look?" Suri asked, her gaze dropping as she inwardly cursed herself for losing her composure. Evan's appearance had really captivated her, almost making her dazed and she found herself unexpectedly infatuated.

"What the hell… what the hell?" she thought.

How had Evan's figure improved so drastically? She knew that the Superhuman serum could have a significant effect on one's appearance, but it shouldn't have transformed him this much.

The serum was meant to improve genes by expressing their best qualities, and while it had enhanced Suri's already stunning beauty, Evan seemed to have undergone a complete transformation as if he had been reborn. His physique was sculpted and he seemed to live the very essence of Adonis…

And those blue eyes—ahh, those deep, beautiful blue eyes… she found it hard to look away, feeling herself getting drawn into their depths.

Shaking her thoughts, she took a step back and made a turn, giving him a chance to see her from every angle.

The amber Phoenix gown clung to her form elegantly, yet she felt a wave of insecurity wash over her.

Evan, on the other hand, was struggling to maintain his composure, his heart was racing as he forced down a smile. If this wasn't VR, he might have already hugged her, but even in this digital realm, he felt the difference between their virtual connection and reality.

"You look fine… I mean, you're beautiful… very very beautiful," he stammered, his voice catching slightly in his throat.

Suri took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm the storm of emotions within her. With a heavenly, angelic smile, she teased, "Just beautiful? Don't you have a bit more words to say?"

There was a flicker of playfulness lighting her gaze.

"I… I'm not good with words, but I rely on feelings," he admitted, smiling brightly. "You look even prettier."

The sincerity in his tone caused a flower of warmth to blossom in Suri's chest.

"Okay, enough of your childish words. I understand you're restraining yourself," Suri laughed, recognizing that he, too, was feeling the same turmoil that she was in.

As they shared this moment of lightheartedness, underneath it, an unspoken tension lingered in the air. They stepped closer, understanding each other's intentions.

As they drew closer, their hands found each other and were intertwined as if drawn together by an invisible force. In this serene space, they found solace in each other's presence, wrapping their arms around one another into a gentle, comforting embrace.

Satisfied with their closeness, Evan asked, "What's with this outfit?"

"I have been invited to a party next month, so I thought I'd try out some new dresses," Suri explained with a hint of excitement in her voice.

"I liked this one, so before buying it, I thought I should show you and ask for your opinion first."

This tiny gesture warmed Evan's heart, yet a flicker of concern flashed across his face. "About that party… is it…one of those?"

Suri raised an eyebrow, sensing his worry. "This isn't that type of closed indoor nightclub party. However, the world of celebrities is like a brothel filled with drinks, drugs, casting couches and so much filth…"

"It's dirty and filled with bad things. Though there are many good people, sadly, they have difficulty getting ahead. However, you don't need to worry about that…" Suri continued with a sharp glint.

A grin spread across her face, and Evan understood her message loud and clear. If anyone dared to force their way toward her, he wouldn't hesitate to protect her but she didn't need protection.

"I've established myself, but it's still tiring to live with all these pretentious people and fakers. Therefore…" Suri paused, her gaze locking with Evan's.

"I want to retire as soon as possible, so please finish what you need to finish quickly."

Evan gently caressed Suri's arms, his heart swelling with understanding as he leaned closer to her face. "I will…"

With that promise hanging in the air, their lips met in a fiery kiss, igniting a passion that transcended the virtual world. Their kiss deepened, filled with unspoken desires and a connection that felt almost tangible, as they lost themselves in each other, savoring the shared moment.

As they reluctantly parted, their breathing became ragged, and the atmosphere became thick with the intensity of their shared moment. Suri looked up at Evan, her eyes sparkling with emotion.

Evan, feeling his heart bursting out, decided to speak.

"I really like y—"

"Ouchhh!" He cried out, cutting his words as she playfully bit down on his neck.

Evan winced, surprised. "What was that for?" he asked, groaning in mock annoyance.

"To mark you as mine," Suri teased, a playful grin spreading across her face.

"But this is the VR world, not the real world," Evan replied, his brows furrowing slightly as he tried to keep a straight face.

Suri's smile dampened for just a moment, but then she spoke resolutely, "No problem. Next time we meet, I'll make sure to mark your whole body."

Evan's heart raced at her words, and a mix of excitement and anticipation flooded through him. The playful promise only deepened their bond, leaving him eager for their next meeting in real life.
