Khan was interested in the instant skill upgrades, while his devices is useful it can take up to a week to complete any changes, and he can't use those skills while they're being upgraded. With that Khan upgraded the two skills that he wanted to have upgraded.

Khan thought that he should probably deal with Yhwach after he deals Aizen. Khan led Masaki into his bedroom. Masaki was suspicious as to the reason, but she was also at 80% so her decision-making skill were really compromised.

Once in the room Khan removed his mask and before Masaki knew what was happening, they were locking lips. Khan said, "Kanae Katagiri, mother of Uryu Ishida, you are a Quincy, and you don't really have anything other than that to your name." Kanae after hearing her life being summarized like that simply asked, "then why would you abduct me then?" Khan responded saying, "it was at the request of one of my followers, she was concerned for your safety." Kanae confused asked, "who was it?" Both Yoruichi and Kanae were shocked to see Masaki in front of their cells, Masaki said, "Kanae it's good to see you again." Yoruichi got closer to make sure her eyes weren't tricking her, while Kanae involuntarily reached out to grab her, the moment she touched Masaki she asked, "how is this possible? I thought you were killed." Masaki hugged Kanae then whispered in her ear. Suddenly Khan got a notice.

Khan was curious as to what Masaki just said to cause that. Masaki turned to Khan and asked that Kanae be free to stay in her room. Khan agreed and opened her cell as they left Yoruichi yelled, "is that it, you abandoned your family for what!?" While Masaki continued to walk Kanae out, Khan stood in front of Yoruichi's cell as soon as the others left Khan said, "Masaki is mine and I don't like it when some offers insult or threats to what is mine." Yoruichi was about to make a sarcastic comment, but before she could Khan snapped his fingers and Yoruichi found herself on the ground writhing in unbelievable pain. She wanted to scream but found the act of even trying to draw in air impossible. Khan waited a minute then released her. He checked her status and was surprised it went from 25% to 60%. While Yoruichi tried to catch her breath Khan asked the system what that was about.

Yoruichi said, "I-I understand." Khan nodded and left, leaving Yoruichi uncertain about what was to come, she only had one thing on her mind, 'how did he do that!?'
