Chapter 6: Bleach Arc - 5
While Ichigo and friends were getting ready, Kukaku had questions. "While I still want proof, tell me, what happened to my brother?" asked Kukaku. Khan bluntly said, "your brother was used in an experiment and became some Hollow abomination which was then consumed by a Gillian called Aaroniero Arruruerie who is using your brother's essence to wear him like a suit."
Kukaku was struck speechless by what Khan had said, after gathering her thoughts she asked, "do you know where this Aaroniero is?"
Khan thought for a moment then said, "I do, and I can tell you're not strong enough to deal with that thing." Kukaku looked angry, then Khan continued, "but I could make you strong enough."
Kukaku looked at Khan her face screamed how. Khan said, "Stay with me and I will show you the proof you wanted, then we can go from there, think about it." Kukaku was silent as she put serious consideration into what Khan said.
About an hour later the council gave their official verdict and set the date for Rukia's execution to be two weeks from tomorrow. Since Aizen had nothing to do with it the captains won't be able to overturn the verdict when Aizen is revealed to be a traitor. Khan pondered the bad luck Rukia was having then he had an idea on how to take advantage of that.
Khan decided to test Shadow Movement, first thing he noticed he couldn't enter his own shadow, he entered Mila Rose's shadow and found it was a nexus connecting not just people's shadows, but any place covered in sufficient darkness.
After a few minutes looking he found a shadow in front of Rukia's cell. To say Rukia was shocked when Khan just stepped out of the shadows, would be putting it mildly.
Khan started by saying, "Rukia Kuchiki, it's been a while since I saw you, not since that Gillian that was drawn to Karakura Town." Rukia had a momentary look of confusion, until she realized what Khan was implying. Then Rukia said, "give me one good reason why I shouldn't call the guards."
Khan just looked at her then said, "well first assuming the guards actually believed you, I could get out here without a trace. Secondly I came to offer a way out."
Rukia mulled over what she just heard, then said, "Why?" Khan smiled beneath his mask then responded, "I know you insulted Ichigo hoping to discourage him, but you saved his sisters, he'll do whatever it takes to return the favor. That includes dragging his friends along with him in the attempt." Rukia's eyes widened at what was just implied.
Khan continued, "now your problem is that by awakening Ichigo you accidentally exposed something the council was trying to keep hidden, they will kill you just to save face. Look even if against the odds Ichigo succeeds in the rescue, the council will still try to have you killed."
Rukia looked full of despair, when Khan put in the final nail. He said, "here's the deal, I'll keep your friends safe from harm during their attempt at a rescue and in return you leave with me when I make my exit from this place." Rukia looked hesitant, then Khan said, "if you like I could get Ichigo to agree." Rukia looked at Khan ready to laugh saying, "there is no way Ichigo would agree."
Khan said, "I wouldn't be so sure, after all he is only rescuing you out of obligation, not because he is capable of appreciating a woman of your beauty."
Rukia blushed at the comment.
[Notice a seed has been planted in Rukia Kuchiki]
'That was too easy.' thought Khan. Rukia asked, "how will I know that he agreed?" Khan responded, "he won't try and stop me during the official rescue." Rukia thought for a moment before agreeing.
Khan then disappeared back into the shadows. While in the Nexus Khan found the hidden entrance for the Schatten Bereich and decided to test Shadow Bind by sealing it, he asked the system how long it would last.
[Depends on whether they are subtle or not in breaking it, if they are it would take them ten years, if not six months and all of the Soul Society will notice their attempts otherwise it will not fade on its own.]
Khan returned to the hideaway, the girls have been recovering nicely, Harribel seems to try to get Khan's approval every time she gets close, always asking if there is anything she can do. Khan always says they'll be plenty of things for her later.
Khan decided to check on Aizen and found he has returned; he was talking with Gin. They were discussing what had happened, when Aizen told Gin that Ichigo would sure to be here at any moment. Aizen pulled some monitor that showed the tunnel and Ichigo, and his friends were there, Aizen then said that Gin should head to the gate, while he would use the cleaner to motivate them to arrive faster.
Khan immediately switched his view to Ichigo and a few seconds later, the scene played out just like the anime. He had to stop himself from laughing.
The difference from the original plot and now, is Aizen isn't manipulating things in the background so he could get the Hogyoku, now he just doing it for amusement. There is also the fact that Kukaku was here in the Seireitei.
Khan watched as Yoruichi convinced Ganju Shiba to go ahead without his sister's permission to fire the cannon.
Khan saw that the Soul Reapers were on edge, probably still nervous about the last time they had intruders. Khan was so amused by the chaos, that he almost forgot something important.
Khan remembered Aizen's favorite method of manipulation, Perfect Hypnosis. Khan went into the shop to find a skill to protect himself, but there was nothing there.
Confused Khan asked, 'why isn't there anything to protect my mind from outside control?'
[It was deemed unnecessary since your patron deities already protect your mind with the phenomenon known as the Warp.]
Khan shocked asked, 'why wasn't I told about this sooner?'
[You didn't ask.]
Khan was annoyed but decided to focus on the matter at hand. Khan then asked, 'is there any way Aizen or anyone else to know that their mental tricks aren't working?'
[Not unless they enter your mind directly.]
Khan took comfort in the fact that Aizen won't be able to pull a fast one, and also realized, that was probably the reason Shadow Sight could tell the where the real Aizen is at all times.
The next morning Khan saw Ichigo and friends make their entrance, upon reflecting on what they're about to go through, he realized this would be the perfect time to plant a seed in Orihime.
Due to the nature of their entrance, Khan couldn't use Shadow Sight, so he watched their descent from a vantage point he found. The moment they hit the ground he used Shadow Movement to close the distance.
Khan found Orihime and Uryu fairly quickly, he managed to get there just as Jirobo Ikkanzaka was about to sneak attack Orihime. Before Uryu could say anything, Khan's hand was already on Jirobo's face.
Before Jirobo could react, Khan smashed his head to the ground, after applying Nurgle's Touch Khan tossed him off to the side. Both Orihime and Uryu had their eyes so focused on Khan, that they failed to notice Jirobo dissolving into a green goop, and then into nothing at all.
Khan said, "you should be more careful, most Soul Reapers will try and take advantage in any way they can."
Uryu had his bow drawn ready to attack, or at least that's what it looks like. The truth was the moment Uryu had gotten on that position Khan had immobilized him. "Uh, thanks... um, could you help us, we're looking for are friend Rukia Kuchiki, do you know where she is?" asked Orihime.
Uryu suddenly lowered his weapon and said, "you can't be serious, how can this Hollow possibly help!" Khan amused that Uryu was so focused didn't even realize that he was frozen, then said, "Ya, I know her she's up at those towers waiting to be executed."
Orihime's eyes went wide then asked, "Why?!" Khan said, "officially it's because she has been declared a traitor, in reality it's because she gave power to someone the council has listed as dangerous, and they want to keep it a secret."
It was Uryu that figured it out and asked, "Why is Ichigo Kurosaki considered dangerous?!" Khan simply said, "all I'll say he has a complicated family history; it wouldn't be fair to tell you something he isn't aware himself."
Khan continued, "listen it's not safe to continue talking in the open, I wish you luck in whatever you try next, goodbye."
As Khan left heard two things, the first was Orihime saying, "well first he seems nice." The second was.
[Notice a seed has been planted in Orihime Inoue.]
Khan had only one thought to playing hero, 'annoying, but worth it, considering what I'm getting out of it.'
