The World I Was Supporting Was Real

Chapter 13

After clapping for a while, I sighed in admiration once again for the author’s ‘design.’

In fact, the main reason I had been following this comic—having sponsored 100,000 won to change the Bible and alter history—essentially meant that ‘Erin’s journey to become a saint’ was effectively over.

She had already become a saint and had become someone who could listen to my voice at any time, so what was the point of spending money?

So, I thought there probably wouldn’t be any need to sponsor such a large sum of 100,000 won for the time being.

After all, a small donation of 1,000 won was enough to bring about normal, reasonable miracles.

While I did make a small sponsorship wishing for Erin to be recognized and do well as a saint, that was about it.

Considering the labor involved in drawing the comic, a mere 1,000 won punch probably wouldn’t add up for the artist.

But what if the author suddenly drew a meteor and said, “If you don’t sponsor, the meteor will fall and Erin will die! To eliminate the meteor, we need more than XX won! Please save Erin with your sponsorship!” Wouldn’t that kind of high-pressure donation campaign be absurd?

Even for me, if the narrative had no coherence and was that ridiculous, I’d probably just stop sponsoring and not read the comic at all. Of course, the story had already lost all coherence since I became a god, but the fact remained that it would be annoying if a meteor were to fall while I was incredibly immersed in the tale.

The author, being an expert at immersion, surely knew this fact very well.

So, they injected something new. A new character!

Characters who would once again face trials where divine blessings—no, sponsorship—were needed!

New BM!

I could never have imagined that a term like that, usually seen in games, would come to mind while reading a comic.

Just at that moment, a message from the author popped up.

[Please give me some money: Here’s a short comic featuring a brief story about two holy knight candidates.]

[Please give me some money: zxcwww.wo.to <<< Linea von Einsberg / wwdzxw.wo.to <<< Ophilia Translerente] [Please give me some money: Check it out and appoint the candidate you like as a holy knight!] They weren’t directly urging for sponsorship right away. Perhaps after I appointed a holy knight, then there would start to be some 'sponsorship-required' situations popping up one by one, just like with Erin! Still... to be honest, I liked harem novels. The more heroines there were, the better, right? I felt a bit sorry for Erin, but since I would be protecting her with a holy knight, there was no harm in me doting on her, I thought at that moment. 'Are you seriously considering that a comic character might be unhappy?' Chills ran down my spine, and I gulped down a glass of cold water. The author, a scary guy...!! [Igguoqueden: Hahaha, good job on the new BM design.] [Please give me some money: New BM? What do you mean by that...?] [Please give me some money: I merely reflect the changes in the world through the support of Lord Igguoqueden in this comic.] [Igguoqueden: Well, if the author says so, that’s how it is.] [Igguoqueden: Since the author is the god of this world.] [Please give me some money: My goodness... Lord Igguoqueden, please watch your words.] [Please give me some money: I am just an observer, and the one true god of this world is, without a doubt, you, Lord Igguoqueden.] Ahh, I shouldn’t engage more. Instead, I checked the comic linked by the author. Having organized it separately via link, the preparation was thorough... I thought as I pondered that. * * * "Haah." Short comic review complete. To summarize about these two characters: First, Ophilia Translerente. A typical female knight character overflowing with faith and swordsmanship skills, her speech was exceedingly cool. She was driven to become a knight with genuine talent. The long, straight dark hair and ample knightly physique were all up to par. Since I liked well-endowed female knights, I'd like to give her extra points for hair color and figure. Her scene declaring, "I will dedicate everything to the one true god, Igguoqueden," right after the birth of the saint pleased me as proof of her sincerity. However, her main flaw was that she was a bit of an airhead. She had a mindset slightly out of sync with common sense and seemed the type that would easily fall for tricks, inciting a desire to help her. If I chose Ophilia, there would be fun in molding a not-so-bright girl into the best knight. I could easily imagine unexpected good outcomes where I’d get to say something like, "Ophilia-sama, did you know this would happen...?!" Some might find it immature, but I liked that kind of story, so I wanted to give that extra point too. Next, I checked Linea von Einsberg. She was originally aspiring to be a mage but realized she lacked talent and chose the path of the sword. With long blonde hair and beautiful azure eyes symbolizing royalty, I felt she was prettier than Ophilia regarding just her appearance. Only, the royal figure was a bit lacking compared to Ophilia... Nonetheless, those who prefer a balanced bust would likely favor her more. Based on the story content, it seemed favorable politically to choose Linea alongside Erin in the religious sphere. Compromising rather than letting the two massive powers clash would be the correct political decision. The biggest issue was that Linea's zeal for faith wasn’t particularly strong. The sole reason she aimed to become a holy knight was because, "The church needs the royal family’s influence." In a way, she was a character with a tragic fate, practically sold from the royal family to the church. Throughout the comic, she emphasized her lack of faith with lines like, "God doesn’t exist. I have to overcome trials on my own without relying on such things." If I chose Linea, I could find amusement in corrupting her faith through sponsorship. As miracles happened right before her eyes, she would initially dismiss them as mere coincidences, but as miracles piled up, and events unexplainable without the existence of divinity occurred, perhaps she'd find herself saving her life because of it? Faith corruption! Wouldn't she become the most devout holy knight, supporting me? Whichever I choose, it felt like a situation ripe for sponsorship! I had maxed out the figures for the holy knight and princess to ensure they wouldn't disappoint my preferences! "I love how obvious the ulterior motives are." Whether the ulterior motive was obvious or not wasn’t the most crucial question. In fact, what I genuinely cared about wasn’t the two characters but someone else entirely. [Igguoqueden: I saw everything.] [Igguoqueden: Both are pretty... Hehehe.] [Please give me some money: Is that so? I’m really glad. I had a feeling the selected women would be to your liking, so I felt relieved.] SDVIMVFoanVzY1YwSVhjamMzUkt1YUcyU0laODBPYTBadTZtc1BYQjlVQ29NRmhlenhvQUx0M2ZLeWpXdS9uMQ So, they were selected women who’d likely be to your taste. It was obviously intentional, but still, how shamelessly bold to say that. [Igguoqueden: By the way, I have a question.] [Please give me some money: Please go ahead, Lord Igguoqueden.] Although both new characters had enough charm as the author stated— There was one undeniable fact that could never be overlooked. [Igguoqueden: The photos Cecilia brought were three, right?] [Igguoqueden: But with both Cecilia and you, why only emphasize two?] [Igguoqueden: Is there a reason?] Indeed. Cecilia brought three photos, stating they were 'holy knight candidates'—that is, there was a third candidate. A third candidate who wasn’t mentioned by either the author or the characters in the story. Sure, Erin hadn’t even looked at the photos and was just praying to me, so I could understand that, but wouldn’t someone need to mention her? Honestly, it wasn’t a complete mystery. If I checked the photos, I’d probably understand why they hadn’t mentioned her. She had a plain black ponytail loosely tied with an ordinary face and a reasonably-sized bust. Wearing plain armor without any particular features, unlike the two characters with fancy, attention-grabbing armors. A background character. That was the term that suited her best. Perhaps the comic hadn’t been sketched out beforehand for her? [Please give me some money: Well…] [Please give me some money: If you want to confirm, of course I can show you.] [Please give me some money: However, it might take some time to observe—would that be alright?] Did that mean the comic wasn't ready? Suddenly feeling lazy, I considered just picking one of the two instead... "No." The way characters are selected as holy knight candidates must surely be a type of achievement in itself, so wouldn’t it be unfair if I, as a god, didn’t even look into it? Thinking so while chuckling at my excessive immersion, I decided not to worry about it anymore. [Igguoqueden: Okey-dokey, send it over.] [Please give me some money: Understood. I’ll be back shortly. Please wait a moment.] Huh? Wait a moment? I thought it might take until the next day if they were drawing a new comic. Surprisingly, the author sent a link just ten minutes later. [Please give me some money: Here it is: axcqwz.wo.to <<<] "What? Did they already draw it?" But why not show it together? Despite feeling a bit of discord, such feelings were quickly devoured by my curiosity and completely vanished. I carefully clicked the comic link that included information on the third female knight no one had mentioned.
