"I first play reinforcement of the army." Annie's screen showed her deck, after searching for a bit she found what she wanted. After clicking the card, her deck jetted out the card. After grabbing the card and adding it to her hand, the deck automatically shuffled. "I then set one monster in defence mode! I end my turn!" On the arena, a giant face-down card appeared. Annie puffed her chest high, with a pleased smile plastered on her face. 'HA! Not bad for my first ever turn.'

'After all the excitement she really didn't do much that turn. But that face-down card could be anything, and I still don't know what her game plan is.' Jack looked at his hand, and after giving the cards a quick read he decided on his game plan. "I Draw, then I play EVO - Encyclopedia. Adding two Evo monsters from my deck to my hand, one with higher attack and one with higher defence." After choosing the 2 cards, the same thing happens for Jack, the cards popping out of his deck, shuffling after he took the cards. "I then summon EVO Grazer in attack mode. With their effect, I can special summon another EVO grazer from my deck to the field in defence mode." Two greenish-gray dinosaur-like monsters appeared on the field, both chewing on grass, with some falling out of their mouths.

"I then enter my battle phase and attack your face-down card using my Grazer in attack mode." The Grazer cried as it charge the face-down card, revealing a kneeling humanoid golem.

Elemental HERO Clayman

800 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Grazer charged at the golem but was sent flying back as the golem slapped it away using the back of its hand. The Grazer hit Jack's side of the arena as it shook, Jack's life draining from the failed attack.

"HA! Your weak monsters' attacks are no match for my Clayman's ULTIMATE DEFENCE!" 

"Hmm, that didn't go as I planned." Jack murmured, "I enter my second main phase, and set 1 card face down and end my turn." 

"Not bad for a rookie, but your no match for me as my HEROES will always prevail."

"Aren't you also a rookie?"

"I watched every episode of HEROES, so I'm basically a master at using this deck already!"

"I'm pretty sure the HEROES cartoon show won't teach you much about how to use your deck."

"HMP! Let's hear you say that again after I win this. I DRAW!" Annie nodded as she looked at the card she had just drawn. "I normal summon Elemental HERO Sparkman." In a burst of light, a humanoid in blue and yellow armour appears on the field, with electricity sparking around it.

"I attack your Grazer with my Sparkman, GO My Sparkman! Defeat the foe!" Sparkman creates a ball of electricity in their hands and then launches it at the Grazer. The Grazer gave out a pained cry as it disappear in a shower of particles. Jack's arena shook once more at the attack.

"I then set 1 card and end my turn. See Jack, that's how a HERO battles!"

"Well, a good thing I'm not playing with heroes. I draw." Jack frowns at the card he just drew.

"What wrong jack, bad draw?" Annie teased.

"No, but this turn will be painful," Jack said with a smirk.

"Oh, painful for who?"

"For me, and hopefully to you too."

"HA! BRING IT ON! LET'S SEE WHO CAN ENDURE! AND BE THE ONE STANDING AT THE END!"

"I normal summon EVO Prey." A green deer-like creature appears in the arena. "I then activate from my hand the continuous spell, EVO - Frenzy. This allows the turn player to normal summons more than once per turn at the cost of 1000 life points for every extra normal summon. I pay 1000 life points to tribute prey and summon EVO Pack Leader." A blue velociraptor-like monster jumped into the arena, slashing EVO Prey, causing it to give out a cry as it disappear, leaving the Pack leader standing tall in its place.

"Because Prey was tributed, its effect activates, allowing me to add 1 EVO spell/trap from my deck to my hand. I also draw because of Frenzy's effect. I then active Pack Leader's effect, by tributing my grazer, I can special summon a level 4 or lower EVO monster with a higher attack from my deck to the field. This also triggers Frenzy once more." 

The Pack leader takes a giant bite out of Grazer, causing it to give out a cry as it disappears in a shower of particles. In response to Grazer's cry, a smaller blue velociraptor-like monster dashes into the arena, stopping next to EVO Pack Leader.  "When EVO Pack Hunter is summoned, I can pay 500 life points to summon another one from my deck to the field, but I can only is this effect once per turn." The Pack Hunter gave out a cry as another Pack hunter jumps into the arena.

Annie frowns when she glances at Jack's life points. 'Whats Jack planning, that is worth him losing this many life points? Well, it doesn't matter, no matter what he throws at me I will be ready.'

"I once more pay 1000 life points, and tribute both my Pack Hunters to tribute summon my EVO Apex of the Hunt!" A giant roar shook the arena as a giant blue and red T-rex-like monster slammed down onto the arena, cleaving both the Pack Hunters in half with its blade-like tail. "Frenzy activates again, allowing me to draw once more, I then enter the battle phase. ATTACK EVO Apex of the Hunt, take down your prey, and attack Elemental HERO Sparkman!

The Apex of the Hunt gave out a roar as it charged at Sparkman, sending him up into the air and slicing him in half with its giant blade-like tail. It then jumped up to devour the two halves of Sparkman in mid-air.  "Now Pack Leader attack, Clayman." Pack leader jumped onto Clayman, Clayman tries to fight back but is eventually defeated, disappearing in a shower of particles.

"Not so fast JACK! I activate my facedown card, Hero signal. When one of my monsters is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, I can special summon one level four or lower Elemental Hero monster from my deck. I summon Elemental HERO Avian!." I humanoid wearing a green custom with giant wings flew around the arena before landing on the field.

"I end my turn, and because I have more than 6 cards in my hand I will discard 2 of them. Looks like you are in quite the pickle here Annie."

"HA! No pickle will defeat my HEROES! My turn, I Draw!" A large grin blooms on Annie's face as she looks at the card she just drew. "I first activate E - Emergency Call, allowing me to add 1 Elemental Hero from my deck to my hand. I then summon the monster I chose, come forth Elemental Hero Burstinatrix!" In a burst of fire, a feminine humanoid in a red and white suit with long black hair appears on the field.

"I then activate O - Oversoul, which allows me to bring back an Elemental Hero from my graveyard. Come forth Elemental Hero Sparkman as this is not your end yet." Sparkman reappears in an explosion of electricity. "I'm not done yet, I then activate Polymerization from my hand, and by fusing Burstinatrix and Avian I can fusion summon Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!" Burstinatrix and Avian grab hands and jump up, turning into silhouettes of light. The lights started to converge, forming into a large ball of light. When the ball of light started to descend, a fire started to burst out of it, completely covering it in flames. When it hit the ground the ball exploded, sending fire everywhere. In its place was a green humanoid with 1 wing, a red tail, and a large dragon head for a hand.

"We can't have our final clash in this boring arena, so I active the field spell Skyscraper." The arena shook as tall buildings started to rise, eventually, they both found themselves surrounded by tall skyscrapers with a giant moon in the sky. "Better, now this is a scenery fitting for this final clash. I then activate H - Heated Heart targeting my Sparkman, giving it 500 more attack! NOW  Sparkman attack! Bring down Jack's Apex of the Hunt." Sparkman with his fist covered in electricity charged towards the Apex of the Hunt.

"WHAT!? But your Sparkman has less attack than my Apex of the Hunt?"

"That is where my field spell comes in handy, as when an Elemental Hero attacks a monster with more attack than it, it gains 1000 attacks for the battle. For when it comes to protecting their home, HEROES always prevails!"

"NOT SO FAST I ACTIVATE MY FACE-DOWN CARD! EVO - Cycle! When a monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect I can tribute a monster I control instead. However I still take the damage, so I tribute my Pack Leader to save my Apex!" As Sparkman's fist was about to connect with Apex, Packleader jumped in front of the attack. Shielding Apex and disappearing in a cloud of particles. 

Annie stared with wide eyes at the sight, however, it wasn't long before a wide grin appeared on her face. "Ha! To think your monster would have some Heroic aspects to them, I'm impressed. But that won't stop me from winning this duel. GO FLAME WINGMAN END THIS!" Flame Wingman draconic hand opened its mouth, and a large beam of fire shoots out of it. Hitting the Apex, making it roar in defiance as it tries to resist the beam. But its strength faltered and it was sent flying towards Jack. "This is the end! As Flame Wingman as an additional effect where when it destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the graveyard, you take damage equal to the attack of the destroyed monster. 

The Apex of the Hunt slammed against Jack's side of the arena, exploding in a burst of fire and particles. Causing his side of the arena to shake to the point where Jack had to hold onto the railings to stay standing. Once the shaking was done, big words appeared in the middle of the arena.
