Transmigrated into a Noble’s beaten son

Chapter 132

If aesthetics alone could pertain to the most powerful kingdom, The Kingdom of Elves, Awdita, would rightfully receive the title.

Although considered the smallest kingdom in Mundo (with a population slightly larger than that of tribes), most still recognize that perhaps the dragons, and fairies which have their own territory have the least numbers of all.

“Well, who can say when no one can just venture into those places? Then again, Awdita is the same. It is not as though everyone could really enter the elven dominion.” Said one of the merchants.

Currently, Naell, Owly, and the other merchants who were riding the carriage were listening to the story of how the kingdom of elves came to be.

“Awdita was also the only recognized dominion among the elven dwelling kingdoms. This was why it was quite rare to see elves originating from other kingdoms.” Added the merchant who did notice that the escorts who were on their horses had their ears perked in interest.

Since the road was comparably safe now as they exited the southern forestlands of the Western Continent, the merchant let the escorts be and eagerly continued his tale.

“Some say that even the living elves right now can't remember why they all left the other continent for the Western Kingdom.”

Even the history books in Mundo which Naell read only told of how elves who venture into other places were rare to begin with. The reason being their pride and noble attitude towards nature, which they mostly didn't compromise on.

“Hence, in the past, wars almost started because elves believed that the human race held no respect for nature. As unlike dwarves who were known specifically for mining resources, humans know no bounds when it comes to greed.”

Yet “almost” meant it never started as before war between the two races came to be, elves began forming a united kingdom in the Western Continent.

“Rumor has it that it was the Autumn Kingdom who paved the way, not minding losing some of their territory for the elves to live in.” As the merchants said that, both the other merchants and the escorts alike all nodded while grinning.

They were all happy with the praises as they all came from the Autumn Kingdom. Even Naell couldn’t help but smile and be proud.

“And even now, the Autumn Kingdom, is the only human dominion that Awdita has a close relationship with, it could be said it is because of our nobles who truly respect nature as well.”

The last sentence made almost everyone roar in agreement. They were all joyous and proud regardless of how many times they had heard the story.

Yet for Naell and Owly who just looked at each other, only a few knew how true this was, and perhaps why the name of the Autumn Kingdom also came to be.

Miles away within the vicinity of the southern side of the Western Continent, one would see the forested exterior walls of Awdita.

Just from the facade, anyone could guess that the entirety of its walls were giant trees surrounding the kingdom. History in Mundo foretold that it was the first elven queen who made the kingdom with her vast magic.

That was why Naell was quite excited upon arriving at Awdita, as even he felt the abundant mana flowing freely from each tall lumber.

Soon, with the merchants' recommendations, and both he and Owly’s travel pass which was provided by the Guild, they had no problem getting past the palace gates.

Elven knights welcomed them warmly with the forest trees making way for them to enter past the forest-like walls.

And sure enough, upon his entrance, Naell was filled with awe. One thing he immediately noticed was how different it was to Taglagas, where the capital of the Autumn Kingdom resided.

While Taglagas was beautiful as well, with its buildings describing eons of history, Awdita had a special air just by its trees that were covering the entirety of the kingdom.

Contrasting the dark wood prevalent across their territory, the road, the wall, the houses, and the castle from afar shined in pristine white under the sun.

  • Beautiful isn’t it, HOOT -

Telepathically said Owly who had been there before.

  • Yes, it’s surprising how all the houses here look pricey. -

As Taglagas had its outer circle that commoners resided in, much like the other kingdoms such as the Easterside Empire, it was noticeable that the houses from some areas were lacking.

One could even say that the commoners' homes were shabby, yet none of the homes in Awdita could be called such. Starting from the outer to the inner area where the castle was located, houses were all made from elven trees, the most expensive wood of all.

Some say that was even the reason why Awdita only had a few elven trees remaining around its kingdom. Yet, as the houses were all made from wood combined with precious stones like moissanite, visitors would often be left in awe.

Not to mention, that even though elven wood was the primary material for the houses, one could see that the trees were still living. It was as though it was just changed into another form.

And as they went further inside, Naell noticed how the houses from afar were bigger, grander, and had gates indicating perhaps nobility.

The castles where the royalty even lived could now be sighted. Unlike the gray stoney walls that the human kingdom always built their castles with, the elven palace from the outside looked nothing like that at all.
