Trap Online

Goblin Chieftain

We sat at the edge of the cave. We picked off the guards with little trouble resulting in five dead goblins. With the entrance cleared, we entered the tree hole. Thankfully, it wasn't that deep, but it entered the tree's roots. This must have taken time, and I was surprised the tree hadn't fallen. I thought of the consequences of that and realized something. This city was either remarkably under-defended or remarkably well-defended. Nothing touched the trees it was on, and they all looked good.

As we entered, I threw that into the back of my mind, and arrows found two more goblins. The cave spilled into three as we entered. We casually picked one and went down. As we entered one of the paths, it started. Some goblin screamed, warning the others. We were known to be here now. I made a snap decision.

"Retreat to the entrance!" I commanded, and neither of the girls disagreed as an arrow killed the squealer. We ran back to the entrance as noises sounded out behind us. I started casting a spell weaving it into an area of effect where the goblins were coming from. We were not in deep and made it there before any goblins.

I created a new world as I thought of it, thinking through the spell as I made it. I included myself and sat on the floor. I needed to protect us from the swarm to come. Goblins started to enter our vision throwing themselves at us. I was behind Iona and Viccy now on the floor, weaving my mana as best as possible. The Illusion started to shape, affecting the area.

What I created was simple. Darkness, Everlasting darkness that covered the eyes and destroyed all forms of light. Still, those goblins threw themselves forward, knowing the exit was at the end as I left Light there.

Instead of trying to fight, they were fighting each other to escape the darkness. I knew not why it worked this way on them. The Elites started to tremble and scream in rage. Iona and Viccy started to reap the lives of the goblins. My darkness hid them, and the Entrance they sought was false as I made it to the other tunnel entrance.

They ran at each other, thinking they were enemies in this dark world. They started to attack each other with clubs, teeth, and claws. The pandemonium was total. Nothing mattered but escaping such darkness.

The Elites easily killed their opponents until they met another in the dark and started to lash out at the unknown enemy. Many died in this initial onslaught until a roar echoed through the chambers. Viccy was shooting arrows as fast as she could. Iona was covered in goblin blood as she went through their ranks, killing as fast as she could. Slowly the number dwindled and was picking up speed until that roar.

They all stopped and stared in fear of that roar, looking in that direction. Viccy and Iona never stopped cutting down as those nearby goblins were staring. They knew something was coming and needed to kill as many as possible. The fear they showed made us fear even more. Iona cut down the last Elite goblin, thankfully, as heavy footsteps were heard. Though roughly thirty or forty goblins were left, my mana was running short.

They cut a few more normal goblins down in haste as the largest goblin we had seen came out. The Goblin was at least six and a half feet tall. It hunched over with a sharp broadsword on its back. It was also ordained in skulls of creatures around its neck with two large clubs. I kept the darkness up, and they reaped the goblin's lives as fast as they could. The goblin chieftain, this guy must be. I recognized and saw the lion cloth between his legs as well, and underneath, almost down to his knees, I saw the tip of his flaccid cock swinging.

I ignored it, but it just stuck out in my mind. The ladies finished off the Goblins as the chieftains roared in anger. The goblins never stood a chance in the illusion I created and were frozen after the chief. This was a relief, but ammo for Viccy was probably running low, and Iona was starting to get tired after a slaughter.

I finished the spell and got up. My illusions seemed not to work or something on this goblin. He charged at Iona, but she dodged, trying to cut him. The chief goblin dodged easily and took out his greatsword. I gulped with the realization that the fight was starting. His sword tore through the wooden cave and arrived at Viccy. She dodged just in time due to the lag of the sword going through the wood.

I realized we had no room to fight in, but neither did he. I needed more mana, so I backed off, looking for what to do. I had enough for one or two illusions, hoping they would be effective shortly. I was a support character build, though, and not helpful at this point for now.

That Chief didn't care as the green skin started to turn red in rage. His body moved faster, and his swings went digging through the wood toward Iona. She moved the minimum distance possible to dodge and cut into him with her katana. It enraged him more, but it was the first of many cuts needed.

Viccy moved almost outside and started to pull back and shoot as many arrows as she could. I stood to the side, waiting. The Chieftain was rampaging, cutting up the tree as he tried to get to Iona. Her movements were sharp and precise as arrows hit the goblin. The greatsword was only moving faster and faster as the fight went on.

I started chanting, creating an Iona duplicate, hoping to finish the spell in time. I created something that I hoped to whoever would work. The spell came to effect, and I created it over top of Iona. She dodged the sword to the left, and my Illusion went to the right. To our relief, the enraged goblin chief picked the one to the right. I gave Iona some breathing space as I moved the Illusion to dodge his sword. I was running low on mana as Iona took that moment to move behind the goblin. His swings were wide, and collateral damage was close.

I was too low on mana to create a distraction much longer and decided on a hail mary. I didn't make the Illusion dodge but made it look like an attempt. I started chanting for the next part and the sword cut through the illusion splattering all over the inside of the tree and the goblin. He roared in victory, his rage never noticing that the blood was fake and his skin didn't feel it.

Then Iona reached her spot, and his feet gave out as tendons were cut. The Victory cry changed to confusion as his body dropped to the floor, and Iona Jumped back. The Confusion grew for seconds before recognition as the blood disappeared from the walls and his body. The person he had just killed had appeared behind him. Viccy stood not far away, and arrows started to litter his body till he died. His death screams echo into the now dark sky.

With that, the notification of his death reached us, and I sighed. We all collapsed to the ground as stamina and mana were almost bottomed out. My mind refused to let me stand as their bodies refused to let them stand. A laugh came from someone, and we all started to laugh in victory.
