Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)

Volume 1 Chapter 29: Good Person

As a counselor, it’s quite normal to stroll around the dormitory building.

However, Ning Chu suspected that this guy was just using this as an excuse, his actual reason for doing this is to scout for potential prey in the girls’ dormitory building.

“If anything in the dormitory is broken, go to the dormitory manager and get a repair form. Generally, someone will come to repair it within a week.”

“If you have any problems in your life or mentally, you can come and ask me directly, just private message me in the group.”

Han Jingye always had a gentle smile on his face, with a soft tone, his face looked harmless. When inspecting the dormitory hygiene, he didn’t seem like a teacher, more like a big brother next door visiting.

He casually walked around the dormitory as if strolling, then looked up and scanned the bed, smiling and asking, “Whose bed is this? Look at others, they all know how to fold the quilt, and then look at you guys.”

The three people in the dormitory simultaneously looked at Ning Chu.

Ning Chu was confused for a moment, and looked around blankly, “Huh? I just folded it because I woke up too early this morning and had nothing to do…”

He really didn’t want to have any relationship with this counselor.

It would be best if he didn’t leave any impression on the other party at all, and he wouldn’t even remember his name next time they met.

“Ning Chu, right? The one who passed out during military training last Monday?”

Several students outside the dormitory burst into laughter.

“… … … …”

“Why are you laughing?” Han Jingye turned his head and glared at the students at the door, then nodded gently to Ning Chu, “It’s fine, I’ll go to the next room, tidy up a bit, remember to have breakfast, don’t be late for military training later.”

“Yes.”

Ning Chu replied expressionlessly.

He hates people like Han Jingye, who are inconsistent, appearing harmless on the outside but are actually very despicable, they are complete hypocrites.

Looking at Zhang Shaoqing, who is consistent inside and out, he’s already disliked even before turning into a villain.

Perhaps it was his not very enthusiastic, even somewhat cold and repulsive attitude, Han Jingye frowned slightly and carefully scrutinized him up and down.

He was a very cute boy, the top of his training uniform was tucked into his pants, looking very clean and neat, but he seemed very weak, his waist slender like a willow branch.

He had no idea what had caused this student to dislike him.

Without much thought, Han Jingye still smiled gently and approached the next dormitory. As soon as he opened the door, he saw a student using the oven to make egg tarts… he really couldn’t keep up his smile.

“Whose induction cooker is this? And the oven and microwave?! Turning the dorm into a kitchen, huh?!”

Wow, can the students in the next dormitory really live like this?

Through the wall, Ning Chu could clearly hear the counselor’s angry shout.

“Ning Chu, let’s go, have breakfast in the cafeteria.”

“Coming, coming!” Ning Chu followed behind Wen Yang with small steps, his face full of envy. “The next dormitory is so good! They cook their own food, it’s better than the cafeteria and cheaper.”

“Hard to say, after a while they might have to cook for ten people.”

“That’s true.”

While chatting with Wen Yang about the next dormitory, images of Han Jingye’s “looks and smiles” occasionally floated in Ning Chu’s mind.

This counselor seems to be quite responsible.

He didn’t get angry about the dormitory hygiene issue, just gently reminded them, but he was furious about the electrical safety issue next door.

Previously, he had only seen the gentle and sunny side of the counselor, and preconceivedly thought it was all fake and disgusting. But now he saw the counselor’s angry side because of the electrical safety issue, which made the counselor’s image more three-dimensional.

Is there a possibility that the counselor now is really a good person?

Whatever it is, it’s none of his business!

Now, dealing with the potential villain and ensuring the protagonist doesn’t go astray because of some naughty vixen who couldn’t keep their lust at check is already quite a headache. Adding a counselor to the mix? He can’t split himself in half!

It’s better to stick to the previous strategy, have Wen Yang focus on the counselor. If he can gather any evidence, it would be better to strike first!

Ideally, the counselor would end up in trouble without any female students being harmed.

Arriving at the cafeteria, Ning Chu ran to the mini market and bought a bottle of ice-cold cola, sitting beside Wen Yang.

“Aren’t you eating?”

“I ate in the dormitory, had some bread and milk I bought last night.”

He took a sip of the cola, belched contentedly, then turned to look at Wen Yang, considering how to subtly bring up the topic of Han Jingye.

“The counselor seems to be quite popular in class,” Ning Chu casually mentioned.

“He’s okay, I guess?” Wen Yang only bought two large steamed buns and a bottle of mineral water. His breakfast seemed a bit meager compared to the students around him, but he didn’t mind. He continued, “I’ve interacted with him these past few days and he seems like a nice person. But you seem to dislike him?”

Even though he didn’t like him, why did he seem particularly concerned about Han Jingye?

“Did he offend you before?”

Hearing the question, Ning Chu hesitated, not knowing how to explain. While he had considered telling Wen Yang about Han Jingye’s storyline in the book to get help, he realized that Wen Yang was not a fool. How could he just believe him based on his words alone? Besides, Han Jingye seemed pretty normal now…

“Not really, it’s just that his smiles seem insincere, which I find off-putting,” Ning Chu hesitated, continuing, “My first impression of him wasn’t great.”

Wen Yang nodded, eating as he spoke, “I actually think he’s a good person, very attentive. He knows the family situations of all the students in the class.”

“He knows their family situations?”

“Well, he memorized it for the school’s subsidy application, the subsidy is made for impoverished students, but some well off students are trying to use the subsidy for themself, that’s why he needs to know about the student background.”

Ning Chu was increasingly puzzled.

Could it be that the counselor is really a good person now?

Seeing him lost in thought, Wen Yang advised helplessly, “Don’t judge people based on first impressions. Look at Shaoqing with his blond hair and carefree appearance. Based on first impressions, who would think he’s a dork?”

“Well, he is a dork…”

Ning Chu yawned, not thinking too much about it, just planning to put the counselor on his long-term observation list.

Glancing at the time, it was almost eight o’clock.

“It’s time for military training.”

This was the most headache-inducing thing at the moment!

He slumped down, feeling hopeless, resting his head on the table. Just the thought of the three laps of jogging and half an hour of physical training every morning during military training made his legs tremble.

“I really want to skip and lie in the dormitory with the air conditioning on~”

Wen Yang finished his breakfast and stood up first, looking down at the slumped Ning Chu, “This week will be over soon. Hang in there.”

“The weather forecast said it would rain today, so why do we still have military training~”

Ning Chu despondently followed behind Wen Yang. Military training always left him feeling like he was on the verge of death. By the evening, all he wanted to do was rest, sleep, and nothing else.

“It looks like it might rain today. Look over there.”

Hearing this, he suddenly became excited and followed Wen Yang’s gaze towards the distant skyline.

The thick dark clouds there filled him with excitement.

“This looks promising! It’s going to be a downpour at least! There’s no way we’ll have military training!”
