Volume 1 Chapter 5: Military Training
“You guys, Ning Chu is really bad at playing games. He can’t even grasp the skills and often gets distracted.”
“Last night, after you guys went to sleep, I played with him for two hours, and he didn’t win a single round.”
At eight in the morning, on the school’s large playground.
The four roommates had already gathered on the lawn, sitting cross-legged together. Wen Yang was complaining about Ning Chu’s terrible gaming skills.
“I was wondering why he never played games with us. Turns out, he’s just too bad.”
“Hey, Ning Chu, why are you being so introverted again?”
Ning Chu sat alone on the side, hugging his knees, curled into a ball, chin resting on his knees, staring blankly ahead.
Upon hearing Zhang Shaoqing’s inquiry, he lazily shifted his gaze and glanced at the three, answering weakly, “Stomachache.”
Since six in the morning, Ning Chu had been awakened by the continuous abdominal pain, tormenting him until now.
“Did you eat something bad?”
Zhang Shaoqing, who was supposed to be the antagonist, shuffled a bit closer, showing concern, and asked.
His body curled up even tighter, his lips turned pale, and he complained, “It must be that Sichuan restaurant with problems.”
“Really? I didn’t feel any pain.” Zhang Shaoqing turned to look at the others, “How about you guys? Any stomach issues? If there’s a problem, I’ll talk to them at noon.”
“No.” Wen Yang shook his head, “Maybe Ning Chu can’t handle spicy food?”
“Just drank a bit too much, and now I have a headache.”
Wang Jie covered his head and lay directly on the lawn.
Seeing that everyone else was fine, Zhang Shaoqing had to turn his gaze to Ning Chu. “It’s almost time to assemble. Why don’t you quickly go to the toilet?”
“Forget it.”
If it worked, Ning Chu wouldn’t be in pain now.
He suspected that his chronic gastritis from his previous life had been brought into this world.
Fortunately, although the pain was continuous, it wasn’t too intense, just making him unable to muster any energy.
“Assemble, assemble, get up and line up!”
The class instructor noticed the few people still sitting on the lawn, walked over to urge them, and kicked Wen Yang’s butt. “Hurry up, did you have breakfast? Don’t embarrass yourself on the first day of military training.”
“Breakfast? What’s that?”
“It’s already ten minutes to eight; did you even have breakfast?”
The group laughed and joked as they got up, following the pace of the class instructor towards the class assembly point. Ning Chu half-opened his eyes, still looking lethargic.
After forming the queue, due to his height, he ended up in the front row of the class.
Originally a bit unhappy about it, he instantly perked up when he saw the legal loli with D-cups standing next to him.
Looking further back, in the lineup of female students from just one class, there were lolis, teenage girls, mature women, beast-eared girls, succubi, elves…
Not only various types but even non-human girls were included.
Truly the world of a typical harem story, LSP (Life is Short Play more) ecstatic!
Ning Chu stood upright, and with the comparison to the shorter girl beside him, his previously somewhat insecure height now seemed to have gained the capital of “swagger.”
Similar to military training in his past life, the new students lined up in long queues, and on the stage ahead, several school leaders picked up the microphone and began lengthy speeches.
The early morning sun gradually became intense. At first, Ning Chu was interested in observing the one meter four beside him, but as the sun shone, and after listening to a few minutes of the speech, he started feeling drowsy, with yawns coming one after another.
Do leaders in every world like to say a bunch of nonsense…
The words of the school leaders went in one ear and out the other for Ning Chu. He yawned repeatedly, covering his continuously aching abdomen with one hand. Standing there in a daze, when he finally snapped out of it, he saw a military instructor right in front of him.
“March in step! Keep up!”
Come to think of it, the novel probably doesn’t have any plot related to military training, right?
Ning Chu subconsciously kept pace with the instructor, his brain recalling the novel’s plot in a daze.
Indeed, there isn’t any!
That means during the two weeks of military training, he doesn’t need to worry about his roommates becoming a harem scumbag and one turning into an antagonist due to plot developments.
Thinking about this, his mood, which was terrible because of the stomachache, lifted quite a bit.
The entire class followed the instructor to a corner of the field, stood in formation under the instructor’s guidance, each person standing tall, hands pressed tightly against the sides of their thighs.
“First, stand at attention, for ten minutes.”
Although it’s the world of the Little Emperor, when there’s no plot development, the people here seem quite normal.
Ning Chu was initially concerned that the people in this world might have overly open-minded values, but during this time, it seemed that there wasn’t much difference from his previous life.
Military training has always been boring, especially when standing at attention.
The overhead sun became more intense. Sweat had already broken out on his forehead and back. The pain in his abdomen surged more, forcing him to frown and concentrate on resisting the pain.
His fingertips began to tingle slightly, and the numbness flowed from the fingertips to the limbs. Breathing unintentionally became heavier.
Ning Chu suddenly realized something but found that any movement of his body was extremely difficult. He lifted his foot to take a step forward, but his mind went blank in an instant.
When he regained consciousness, he found himself sitting on the ground.
He subconsciously looked around, and the gazes of his classmates were already focused on him.
His face felt hot and flushed. Ning Chu couldn’t believe that he was the first in the whole class to collapse.
Not even as good as those girls.
“Ning Chu, what happened?” Wen Yang had already rushed over to him, squatting down and asking, “Why did you suddenly collapse?”
“Just… felt dizzy for a moment.”
Zhang Shaoqing also came over, opening his mouth with a teasing tone, “Your physical fitness is not even as good as a girl’s. Really, why don’t we just take a trip to Thailand?”
This antagonist’s mouth is truly wicked!
Ning Chu glared at him with an unpleasant expression, “I had a stomachache today, all thanks to you making me eat something bad last night.”
“We’re both fine. Are you sure you are not on your period?”
Originally, it was just a playful tease without malicious intent, but it made Ning Chu’s pupils dilate, and for a moment, he stood there stunned.
What?! Period?!
That’s impossible, right?!
The instructor had also approached. Seeing that Ning Chu seemed okay, he patted Wen Yang on the shoulder, “You two take him to the infirmary and have him drink some glucose water.”
“Tomorrow during military training, make sure he eats some breakfast, or his body might not hold up.”
“Go on, don’t just sit there.” Wen Yang lightly pushed Ning Chu’s shoulder, “Stop daydreaming.”
Zhang Shaoqing leaned in, peering at Ning Chu’s vacant gaze, and mocked, “You won’t faint again, will you?”
“No…”
Ning Chu had recovered by now, standing up with the support of the two, and his complexion gradually improved.
It was just Zhang Shaoqing’s teasing; why did he care so much?
He had checked everything earlier! He still has his dick!
