Trapped in Paradise

Chapter 39

Chapter 39: Ning Chu Gets More and More Beautiful

“Bar, huh? I’ve never been, but I’ve heard the drinks there are super expensive.”

“Wen Yang, you went there last week. Tell Wang Jie about it.”

“How would I know? It was just really noisy…”

Later, Ning Chu sat in the backseat, staring blankly out the window, while the chatter of a few dormmates filled the air.

To be honest, he had never been to a bar either. He was somewhat following Zhang Shaoqing’s idea, but there was a bit of personal interest involved.

The bar plot was completely over, so he didn’t have to worry about Wen Yang getting picked up by the story characters after drinking. That little virgin was really timid right now, and regular girls weren’t as proactive as story characters, so he shouldn’t be too worried.

Still, he hoped all his dormmates were just like Wang Jie—complete homebodies who were really well-behaved.

“This car is nice, right? My mom got it for me on my 18th birthday. It cost over 400,000.”

Ning Chu glanced at the interior, and his jealousy made him click his tongue in disapproval.

“Hey~ Your reincarnation skills are lacking! Why are you clicking your tongue?”

This guy is just asking to get punched someday!

“Do you guys have a driver’s license? I usually park this car in the school parking lot, and you can use it if you need to.” Zhang Shaoqing continued to flaunt his little car, as if showing off a rare skin in a game, “Anyway, I rarely drive it; I’m too lazy to go out of school.”

“Nope, I’m planning to take the test during summer break.” Wang Jie shook his head.

“I don’t have one either.” Wen Yang suddenly realized a blind spot, “If only you have a license, how are we getting back at night?”

“……”

After a moment of silence, Zhang Shaoqing casually replied, “Stay in a hotel? We can share a double room.”

“No way!” Ning Chu immediately refused, “Get a designated driver!”

“Don’t! Can your wife drive for someone else?”

“???”

Who just said we could drive your car if we had a license?!

Ning Chu’s head was full of question marks, and he sighed, leaning against the car window, realising he didn’t want to argue with Zhang Shaoqing.

Since the school was located on the hillside of the suburbs, even the closest bar took over half an hour by car. He yawned, closed his eyes, and chose to take a nap in the car.

These days were filled with military training; who knew how his dormmates maintained their energy?

About ten minutes later, Wen Yang heard even, light breathing. He instinctively turned to look, only to find Ning Chu leaning against the car door, eyes closed, fast asleep.

“Already asleep?”

“Is he asleep already?” Zhang Shaoqing joked, “Why is he always so sleepy? Wang Jie, did your snoring disturb his sleep at night?”

“I don’t want to snore…”

The dialogue inside the car quieted down, and even the car’s speed became smoother and steadier.

With nothing to do, Wen Yang’s gaze fell upon Ning Chu’s sleeping face.

His eyelashes were long and curled, like brushes, and his skin was fair and smooth, with hardly a blemish. His features were delicate and charming; his lips were a light pink, glossy and moist, especially his full lip beads that made his cherry-like mouth extremely attractive.

Maybe it was due to the fatigue, but there was a faint blush at the corners of his eyes, giving him a fox-like allure even in sleep.

Wen Yang nodded, as if everything made sense.

This dormmate had somehow become even more beautiful…

Before, Ning Chu’s face looked youthful and boyish, making him unconsciously see Ning Chu as someone who needed to be taken care of. His face had some blemishes back then, nowhere near this exquisite, with charm to speak of.

Honestly, Ning Chu was beginning to resemble a girl more and more.

At first, he just thought Ning Chu’s petite figure leaned toward femininity, then he noticed the somewhat exaggerated chest muscles, and later that well-toned bottom that could stretch tight pants. Now, even his face seemed feminine.

“Could he really be a girl?” Wen Yang curiously glanced down at Ning Chu.

If he were truly a girl, how could Ning Chu be in awe of his own manhood in the public restroom at the amusement park?

Even the boldest girls wouldn’t be that shameless, right?

“What girl?” Wang Jie turned around, glanced at Ning Chu, and complained, “You can’t be talking about Ning Chu, right? How could he possibly be a girl? Are you crazy?”

“Uh…”

“Did you see those people at the art school this afternoon? A few guys look more feminine than girls. Ning Chu is still doing alright.”

“Well, that does make sense.”

Zhang Shaoqing, however, had a different view: “I think he’s just preparing to go to Thailand. Hey, do you think in a dimly lit bar, someone might mistake him for a girl?”

“Then you’ll need to put a wig on him first.”

“True… But would someone from Nantong prefer this kind of look?”

“Do you only think of the worst?” Wen Yang sighed, “You two must have had a grudge in your past life, right?”

He glanced sideways at Ning Chu, imagining him in a wig…

Having seen plenty of pretty girls, Wen Yang usually had a high aesthetic sense, but picturing Ning Chu in women’s clothing surprisingly didn’t seem so bad to him.

Just a few days ago, he thought Ning Chu was simply a rather delicate and cute boy. There was no comparison to a girl, really.

The previous dialogue disturbed Ning Chu, who opened his eyes slightly, unwilling to move, and mumbled, “Stop talking; it’s so noisy.”

“We’re almost there.”

“Really?”

He slightly turned his head to look out the window and noticed the streets had transformed from desolate suburbs to low-rise buildings.

When they reached a lively night market area, Zhang Shaoqing parked the car at the roadside and turned back to the others, saying, “Get out! How about we grab some barbecue first?”

Before they could respond, he showed his rich person’s arrogance again: “It’s on me!”

“Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!” Wang Jie was the first to rush out of the car.

Ning Chu yawned repeatedly, rubbing his sleepy eyes as he pushed the door open. He looked up at the city, unable to suppress an exclamation.

Is this the Small Royal Text I wrote?

This area seemed like the development level of a county-level city in his previous life, with rows of two to three-story shops lining the streets and eight-story apartment buildings dominating the view. In the distance, he could only see a few tall buildings’ shadows.

The streets were a bit narrow, with well-maintained greenery on both sides. Looking up, the starry sky was obscured by thick leaves.

This was merely an entertainment version of Small Royal Text, and it surprisingly derived such a vast and realistic world.

Perhaps every novel is a world creation?

Ning Chu suddenly came to his senses and found Zhang Shaoqing and Wang Jie had already run far ahead. He instinctively felt a bit flustered, but when he turned around, he saw Wen Yang crossing his arms, watching him.

“Aren’t you coming? What are you dazing out for?” Wen Yang found it amusing, “You didn’t grow up in the mountains, did you? You look like someone who has never seen the world.”

“Not really.” Ning Chu shook his head, his eyes sizing Wen Yang up.

“What’s up now?”

“After we go to the bar, drink less. Oh! And Shaoqing and Wang Jie too! You also keep an eye on them, don’t let any bad women lead them astray…”

“???”

Wen Yang showed a confused expression, pausing for a moment before complaining, “What’s wrong with you? Are you a neat freak? Your dormmates aren’t qualified if they’ve touched a woman?”

“Y-Yeah!” Ning Chu didn’t know how to explain, so he firmly replied in a joking tone.

“Good lord, just because you can’t find a girlfriend, everyone in the dorm has to accompany you.”
