The sound of police sirens blared in the distance as a sleek sports car raced in the opposite direction. On the backseat, Mori Ran observed the chaotic scene outside, feeling surprised and alarmed.

Yukiko Kudo turned her head to Mori Ran, who was sitting in the back seat of the sports car. "It's a bit chaotic out here. Are you okay, Ran?" she said with a reassuring smile.

Ran looked out the window at the police cars with their sirens blaring and the cars rushing by in the opposite direction. "Yes, it's just a bit overwhelming. Is New York always like this?" she asked.

Yukiko chuckled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "There's a serial killer on the loose who preys on cute girls like you in the middle of the night."

Ran's eyes widened with fear. "What?!" she exclaimed.

Kudo Shinichi rolled his eyes at his mother's teasing. "Mom, stop scaring Ran," he said, but his expression betrayed his curiosity.

Yukiko: I'm just joking. But it's good to be aware of your surroundings.

Yukiko suddenly realized that she was running late.

Yukiko: Sorry, I need to speed up a bit. Hang on tight.

Ran and Shinichi hold on to their seats.

With her skilled driving, she deftly maneuvered through traffic, passing car after car, but her speed was jaw-dropping.

Kudo Shinichi reassured"Don't worry, Ran. My mom's an expert driver."

Yukiko Kudo: "That's right. I've been driving in this city for years. I know how to handle it."

Mori Ran nodded innocently, soon, her eyes were attracted to the lights behind along with the siren sounds.

Mori Ran: "What's that siren? Is it the police?"

Yukiko Kudo looked embarrassed, a she answered vaguely.

Yukiko Kudo: "Ah, yes. We may have attracted some attention with our speed. But don't worry, we're almost there."

Kudo Shinichi: "Mom, slow down! You're going to get us pulled over."

Yukiko Kudo: "Relax, Shinichi. I've got this under control."

Yukiko skillfully weaving through traffic,

"Almost there... "

As they arrived at the Golden Apple Musical at Broadway, a police officer stopped them, as he approched the car.

Policeman: "Excuse me, ma'am. You were driving quite fast. Can I see your driver's license and registration?"

Yukiko showed a wry smile, as she prepared to take out her credentials.

A policeman appeared out of nowhere stopped him.

"Officer, I can vouch for this woman. She's a detective investigating the serial killer case."

Fortunately, Sharon Vineyard, disguised as a policeman, intervened and vouched for Yukiko's credentials.

Yukiko was surprised by the unexpected encounter, thinking that Sharon was a policeman she knew.

"Thank you..."

But Sharon then revealed her true identity by taking off her skin mask and showing her beautiful face.

Yukiko Kudo was elated.

"Oh, Sharon! I didn't expect to see you here."

Mori Ran: "Wow, that was impressive. I didn't even recognize her at first."

Kudo Shinichi contemplated, "Yeah, apparently she is a master of disguise."

Ran and Shinichi were shocked and amazed by Sharon's incredible disguise skills. After a few pleasantries, they all entered the theater to meet the actors. However, they were soon interrupted by the sound of a cane hitting the ground.

Sharon showed a helpless smile as a young man dressed like a nobleman from the 17th century appeared before them. "I didn't expect my 'adopted' son to come here," she said to Yukiko.

Yukiko's face didn't change, and she put on a polite smile, but deep down, her heart was already skipping beats.

Ran and Shinichi looked on in shock as the young man introduced himself as Sherlock V. Holmes, the genius of this century, revealing himself to be the object of their fandom.

Yukiko pretended that they met for the first time, while hiding her shock.

'Sharon's son?!! how is that possible? she never told me about this!'

"It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Holmes. I've heard so much about you."

Sherlock: "Likewise, Mrs. Kudo. I have been following your husband's work for some time."

Mori Ran shone with splendor.

"I can't believe it. We're meeting Sherlock Holmes! This is so cool!"

Kudo Shinichi: "It's great to meet you, Mr. Holmes. I've read all of your books, watched all your movies, and use all your inventions. I'm a huge fan."

Sherlock: "Thank you. It's always nice to meet someone who appreciates my work. But please, call me Sherlock."

Yukiko: "So, what brings you to New York, Sherlock?"

Sherlock: "I'm here on a case. I'm investigating a series of murders that have been plaguing the city. I believe they may be connected to a larger criminal organization."

Sharon at the side rolled her eyes, but her instincts were sharp. she faintly felt that Yukiko and her unfilial son may be hiding something from her.

Kudo Shinichi looked excited.

"That sounds interesting. Do you need any help?"

Sherlock: "I appreciate the offer, but I work alone. I find that I am most effective that way."

At the side, Yukiko approached Sharon, as she brought her a little faraway, as she looked at her with displeasure.

Yukiko: "Sharon, is Sherlock really your son? why you didn't mention it before?"

Sharon looked at her old friend pretending show, but she didn't poke her.

With a sad face, she replied, as she looked at her 'adapotive' son in 'distress'.

"You know, due to his excellence, our family safety is always threatened, so we don't dare to reveal our relationship to the public."

Yukiko nodded in understanding, but she somehow she felt excited.

My friend Sharon's son, but why am I so excited?!

Sharon stole a glance towards Sherlock, but he ignored her, and kept discussing with Ran and Shinichi about all kind of intruiging cases that he encountered, which put a wry smile on her face.

Amidst this interesting atmosphere, they made their way towards the theater.
