“Yes,” Qiao Xinhui nodded approvingly as she examined the stylish clothes and shoes. “Yanli’s new creations are truly remarkable. Yuanyuan, take a look and see if you like them.”
David followed her gaze, but his smile froze on his face. The girl possessed delicate features, with clear and bright eyes. Most strikingly, she bore an uncanny resemblance to his boss!
Qian David was momentarily stunned, his eyes meticulously scrutinizing every aspect of Fang Yuan. From head to toe, he examined her, even noting her expressions and gestures—everything mirrored his boss! How was this possible?
Three years ago, Fang Yuan had founded the FY brand under the pseudonym “Yanli.” Each piece of clothing was personally designed by her and featured unique styles and impeccable craftsmanship. With limited production—only one piece per design—FY swiftly gained fame among affluent circles, becoming highly sought after by socialites, celebrities, and daughters of influential families. Later on, the brand expanded to include footwear and children’s clothing, shocking the fashion industry.
Fang Yuan’s works had garnered numerous international accolades. In just three years, FY had transformed from an unknown brand to a top international label. Various high-end fashion houses attempted to poach the enigmatic designer known as Yanli and even attempted to acquire FY, only to be met with rejections.
“Yuanyuan, let David know if there’s anything you don’t like. He’s in charge of the brand,” Qiao Xinhui spoke softly.
This was because the brand’s founder had never made a public appearance. She solely focused on the creative aspects, leaving David in charge of the brand’s operations.
Suppressing the astonishment within him, David respectfully asked, “Miss, what should I address you as?”
“Fang Yuan.”
David observed Fang Yuan’s raised eyebrows and voice—it was undeniably his boss! Who could explain what had happened? How did his boss become the daughter of the country’s wealthiest man? He was already immensely wealthy, so why bother running a fashion brand? He was earning a fortune; there was no need for him to let anyone else live. But something didn’t add up. The country’s wealthiest man had only one daughter, Cheng Yuqi. Could Fang Yuan be an illegitimate daughter? But if she were, why would Mrs. Cheng welcome her into the Cheng family and treat her so well?
Meanwhile, Fang Yuan had estimated that the stock would last at least six months, during which she could focus on developing her medicines and other side projects. However, her parents had emptied her inventory, leaving her falling into a pit.
“Ms. Fang Yuan, do you happen to know our boss?” David inquired directly.
“No,” Fang Yuan promptly denied, making it clear that she didn’t want those present to know her true identity.
“You’re so fortunate to have parents who love you dearly. Look at these clothes, they represent the finest creations from our founder, perfectly befitting your status!”
“Yuanyuan, take a look at this casual suit—it’ll suit you splendidly,” Cheng Ye pointed out one suit displayed on the shelf.
“Yanli’s designs truly possess a unique touch. Look at this dress,” Qiao Xinhui waved the garment near Fang Yuan. “It will make you look stunning.”
“Fang Yuan, do you like white shoes? How about this pair?” Cheng Ye presented a set of white shoes to Fang Yuan.
“Yuanyuan, what do you think of this bag?” Qiao Xinhui picked up another handbag. “It’s custom-made for you, it has to be exquisite!”
Cheng Yuqi’s face turned pale, unable to fathom what she had just heard. What was happening? Why were her parents claiming that this girl was their daughter, showering her with numerous limited-edition FY items?
Witnessing her parents fussing over the girl, Cheng Yuqi felt an overwhelming sense of panic. What had transpired during the month she spent away at school?
“They are all in your size. If they don’t fit or if you don’t like them, I’ll buy another batch,” Cheng Ye doted on Fang Yuan.
“No need,” Fang Yuan’s voice was sweet and melodious. “They all fit perfectly.”
David could sense his boss’s dissatisfaction. Indeed, those items were his boss’s early creations, intended to last for six months to a year, yet they ended up in Fang Yuan’s possession.
“How much does this cost?” Fang Yuan’s gaze locked onto David.
David was taken aback but responded, “These are the latest creations from our founder, and the starting price is 200,000 yuan.”
Fang Yuan, “….”
