Twilight AU: The Hunter

Chapter 2: Chapter 1: The Deal.

In the darkness, two men stood engaged in a heated conversation. One was seated at a desk, clad in a dark blue suit with slicked-back black hair and glowing white eyes. The other man was older, dressed in a white robe, appearing to be in his late fifties, with a noticeable beer belly, a receding hairline, and a beard. He stood with his arms crossed, his face etched with frustration and anger.

"How the hell am I supposed to survive as a cabbage man in this world called Avatar?" he protested fiercely.

"This is ridiculous and a scam! I've never even heard of that show before. I demand to speak to a manager, now!" He slammed his fist on the desk, but his outburst only served to annoy the stoic man.

"Well, sorry to break it to you, but you lost the game." Before he could continue, he grabbed a mallet and slammed it down onto the desk, causing the man to vanish.

WACK.

The stoic man produced a set of folders out of thin air and began to read. A confident smile slowly spread across his face, and his eyes glimmered with excitement. Slamming the mallet onto the desk again, he summoned another individual.

This newcomer was a striking man of African descent with dark brown skin and a curly Afro that extended past his ears. His cold brown eyes betrayed a mix of seriousness and curiosity.

Breaking the silence, the stoic man addressed him. "Hello, Mr. Jordon. You've unfortunately died, but you've been given a second chance at life."

"...Mhm. So, how do we expedite this?" Jordon's voice was unyielding, which prompted an eyebrow raise from the god.

A broad smile spread across the god's face. He snapped his fingers, and a large wheel materialized beside them.

He stepped away from his chair and approached the wheel. "I'm sure you know what this is." The man nodded, saying nothing in response. "Fantastic. This wheel will determine the new world you'll inhabit, and there are no takebacks. Understood?" Jordon nodded, maintaining his ice-cold demeanor.

"ALL RIGHT, HERE WE GO!" (Cue the Family Feud music)

The wheel spun with such speed that it was impossible to predict when it would stop. "Ah, my apologies! I got a bit carried away and spun it too hard." The god chuckled, scratching the back of his head. Meanwhile, Jordon crossed his arms, unbothered, as he returned to the desk. "It's fine—it gives me time to think about my wishes. I assume I get wishes, right? And can I get a chair?"

"Absolutely, kind sir." With another snap of his fingers, a comfortable chair appeared before the desk. "Care for a drink?" The god snapped again, and a fridge filled with various beers opened wide, which elicited a smile from Jordon. The two spent hours discussing their lives; if a god and a human could form a friendship, this was it.

Jordon was a 21-year-old who had met his end due to a car accident, though he suspected there was more to it. He was a former military soldier of the USA, dishonorably discharged for confronting his commander over the treatment of a female soldier. The incident had been swept under the rug, and a year later, he found himself bartending and drifting from place to place. An orphan raised in a church, he lost the only mother figure he knew upon graduating high school, leaving him disconnected from any sense of family.

One fateful night, as he closed up a bar, he noticed a suspicious car tailing him. Trusting his instincts, he accelerated, exceeding the speed limit. The pursuing vehicle executed a pit maneuver, flipping his car and sealing his fate. Just before he passed out, he recognized a familiar pair of shoes.

"Damn, man, I'm sorry to hear that your life was so tough," the god said, chugging his beer and letting out a loud burp.

"Yeah, well, I sensed something was off. Also, I think the wheel is beginning to slow down," Jordon replied, pacing himself.

Both men stared at the wheel as it gradually came to a halt, landing between Supernatural and Twilight. A laugh erupted from Jordon.

The god sat in silence, curious about the sudden laughter. Wiping tears from his eyes, Jordon cleared his throat.

"Sorry, I just can't believe where I'm headed. I watched Supernatural up until season three, and I've only seen the Twilight movies without ever reading a single book. Oh, this will be interesting."

As he finished the last of his beer, he looked at the god with a serious expression. "So, about those wishes—how many do I have left?"

The god rubbed his chin in thought. "Well, I must say, you're the first mortal I've grown fond of in the last five billion years.". And having you die early will be a shame I will give you two wishes but they will have to be in the realm of possibilities of course."

"Good thing I've been thinking of what I want then for my first wish I would like to have heavenly Restoration like Toji from jujutsu Kaisen and for my second wish give me that worm thingy he got but I can pull out anything that I think about even things that aren't from both worlds."

Jordon sits back in his chair with a smirk in satisfaction he neither broke any regulations of having a power greater than anything the god will see has too much.

The god smiled in amusement grabbing a beer he chugged it down in one go. "Jezz I thought I'd never be happy to send someone to a world before you got a deal kid I'll be watching over you."

Jordon smiled he sensed his time was fading he never had friends or connections with people much but in this short time he felt a companionship with god. He reached his hand over the desk "And if we ever see each other again let's grab a beer I know how to cook up a mean Bloody Mary."

The god smiled shaking his hand in return "You better see you later." Slamming his mallet on the desk Jordon disappeared leaving the god in the void once again.

Leaning back in his chair the god smiled feeling a ting of kindness he pulled out a typewriter and wrote something with a smile.

"Now don't say god doesn't give you anything."

This is the end of chapter 1 I can finally say that I am happy I'm genuinely loving the story that I have in my mind.

If there are any weapons you'd like for my character to pull out just say so in the comments I already have a few in mind.
