Chapter 141: Unexpected Developments
Training Ground, Uchiha District~
Fuma, hailed by Gamamaru as the demon of cataclysm and a harbinger of destruction, sat at his desk, a perplexed expression on his face as he read the letter in his hand.
It was an urgent report sent by Orochimaru from Kirigakure, detailing the attack on the organization he had established and requesting Fuma's assistance.
If it had been merely a counterattack from the Third Mizukage, Fuma would not have been overly concerned. After all, the Third Mizukage, no matter his strength, was only a perfect Jinchuriki at best—hardly a game-changer.
However, one phrase in Orochimaru's letter caught Fuma's attention: "Scientific Ninja Tools."
According to Orochimaru, while they had been handling the Third Mizukage's offensive with ease and even recruiting rogue ninjas from Kirigakure, a new threat had emerged.
Weeks earlier, an organized and mysterious group of shinobi had launched repeated attacks on Orochimaru's camp, causing significant damage.
These attackers wielded strange tools, including advanced flying devices and firearms infused with chakra, which proved devastating against anyone below the rank of elite jonin.
Their mastery of flight gave them a tactical edge that even Orochimaru struggled to counter. With few flying-capable shinobi in the ninja world, Orochimaru had resorted to crude methods like throwing kunai to combat them.
This wasn't a reflection of Orochimaru's incompetence but rather a testament to how rare and challenging flight was in the shinobi world.
Even Fuma, before he had harnessed the power of the Box of Ultimate Bliss, would have found adversaries like Deidara frustrating to deal with.
What truly unsettled Fuma, however, was the possible connection to Isshiki's "Kara" organization.
"Could it be that Isshiki has surfaced and is beginning his plans in the shinobi world? If so, that would be an even greater headache than Madara…"
"No, it doesn't make sense. Isshiki shouldn't reveal himself before the Sage of Six Paths' contingencies are exposed. This kind of blatant organization-building is too conspicuous…"
"But then again, a being like Isshiki, who has lived for millennia, might have devised new strategies. I need to confirm this myself."
Fuma drummed his fingers on the desk, his gaze steely.
Compared to Kaguya, who was sealed in the moon's core, Isshiki Otsutsuki posed a far more dangerous threat.
Kaguya's raw power is unparalleled, but her lack of combat experience renders her clumsy. Isshiki, on the other hand, has honed his cunning over a thousand years of survival. He's the antithesis of Kaguya—a master tactician armed with patience.
Yet Fuma knew Isshiki's condition couldn't be optimal. If the Kara organization was appearing decades earlier than expected, something was off.
With these considerations, Fuma decided: the situation in Konoha could wait. Gaining access to these flying tools and verifying Isshiki's involvement took precedence.
Standing up, Fuma quickly issued orders for the Security Division and summoned Minato and Kushina.
"If all goes well, perhaps I can eliminate the Third Mizukage early and take control of Kirigakure from the shadows…"
Based on Orochimaru's updates, Fuma had deduced that Kirigakure's strength lay in its numbers, not its individual elites.
The village's jutsu prioritized efficient elimination of mid- and low-tier ninjas rather than cultivating top-tier powerhouses.
This approach made sense given the shinobi world's typical vulnerabilities, but it left Kirigakure's upper ranks ill-prepared for a powerhouse like Fuma.
Unlike other villages with ultimate techniques—Onoki's Dust Release in Iwagakure, the Third Raikage's indestructible armor in Kumogakure, or Konoha's Reaper Death Seal and Edo Tensei—Kirigakure lacked decisive, game-changing abilities.
The only factor that shielded Sunagakure, despite its similar limitations, was its inhospitable desert environment.

High Above the Skies~
Minato and Kushina clung tightly to Fuma's broad shoulders, marveling at the breathtaking speed and directness of his flight.
Unlike the tedious process of traveling on foot, Fuma's newfound flying ability allowed them to soar straight toward Kirigakure.
Kushina, her face tense, seemed uneasy. The sheer speed and Fuma's nonhuman appearance left her unsettled.
In contrast, Minato gazed down at the passing landscapes, a calm and curious smile on his face.
"Fuma, what kind of new jutsu is this? You're looking less human by the day!" Minato teased, patting the black wings sprouting from Fuma's back.
"This isn't a jutsu," Fuma replied, his voice calm. "If I had to name it, I'd call it "Satori Form". It's the result of my interactions with the Box of Ultimate Bliss."
"But enough banter. Stay alert, Minato. This mission may present unforeseen challenges."
Minato nodded, his demeanor still lighthearted but his gaze sharpening. He understood the gravity of Fuma's words.
Kushina, however, struggled to relax. Her "Kagura's Mind's Eye" ability allowed her to sense Fuma's presence with startling clarity.
To her, Fuma's aura was a chaotic blend of the Box's malevolent energy, Shukaku's violent chakra, and the cold, predatory instincts of a battle-hardened warrior.
Despite her usual bravado, Kushina felt an unfamiliar twinge of fear in Fuma's presence.
Yet as she remembered all the times Fuma had shielded her and Minato, her apprehension faded.
Whether it was protecting her from the Third Hokage's schemes or fighting on the battlefield, Fuma had proven himself time and again.
Her perception of his aura shifted—from terrifying to reassuring.
"Minato, Fuma-san… with you two by my side, I finally feel like I've found a place where I belong," Kushina thought, her determination renewed.
As they soared toward Kirigakure, her focus shifted to the land below, where her memories of the Whirlpool Country's destruction stirred bitter resolve.
Her red eyes burned with a quiet intensity.
