Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 440: Chapter 440

"... and this is my dear friend, Ayesha." Qingyue introduced Yingying and Ayesha to Feifei, who were meeting for the first time, and the daughter of the Wei Family happily smiled at them.

"It's nice to meet you. May I ask why you two are in such a sorry state?" She could not help her curiosity. After all, the two girls looked completely haggard and even had some bruises on their hands and forearms.

The rest of their bodies were covered, but she guessed that there were marks all over them as well.

Strangely, there was nothing on their faces, and they did not even seem to mind those marks that she could see.

"We took things a little too far." Ayesha brightly said as she shook her hand with Feifei. "But it was a friendly spar."

"You train so recklessly?" She smiled back at the Kurdish girl, who unhesitatingly nodded her head.

"These things happen when you push yourself to do better in combat. It's fun."

"I see." She grinned. "Who won?"

"Iseul." Yingying lightly answered. "It was a three-way battle," She informed her.

"Oh..." Feifei nodded her head, quite sceptical about their Realms of Cultivation.

However, she kept the question in her heart for now and turned to look at the door of the lounge as it opened and a beautiful creature came running inside.

"What happened to you?" She laughed as she looked at Eira, who seemed a little too excited, and then she watched the wolf lunge at Rouxi, rubbing against her and happily barking as it circled its Master.

"Had fun?" Rouxi did not say it, but she was immensely relieved to see Eira again. And more than anything, she was happy as she could sense that her wolf was happy too. "Hungry?"

Eira barked a reply, and her Master understood that she was not hungry.

She smiled some more as she sensed the wolf trying to convey to her how much fun she had today.

"Rouxi, this Fiona!" Feifei happily informed her best friend as she introduced the girl who had followed Eira into the lounge.

"Hello," Fiona respectfully bowed to them. "It is nice to meet you." She said to Rouxi, who gently smiled at her.

"It's nice to meet you too. Feifei told me that you are a very kind soul." Her words made the lady blush a little, and her smile warmed everyone's heart.

"Thank you." She said and glanced at Feifei, who giggled as she sensed her shyness.

"Dinner's ready?" Qingyue asked, and the Irish maid nodded her head, and then her smile ceased a little.

"Master insisted on helping me, and he was fast."

"Keith cooked?" Ayesha pleasantly asked.

"Yes." Fiona nodded her head, feeling a little embarrassed as she had made her Master prepare dinner with her.

But there was nothing she could do once he insisted on helping her.

Qingyue seemed to have sensed her mood and giggled before she hugged her.

"That's a good thing. It's been a while since I last ate anything that he cooked for us. Also, he enjoys cooking when he is in the mood. Don't fret over it."

"He can cook?" Feifei sceptically asked.

"Oh, he's the best." It was Ayesha who answered her. "You will love the dinner tonight." She promised.

"Okay."

"Let's go." Qingyue nodded to Ayesha's words and then led everyone to freshen up and wash their hands before going to the dining hall.

Keith and Iseul were already at the table, and they seemed to be talking about something important before they stopped and smiled at them.

"Hi! I am Iseul!" The girl in black, the colour she almost always wore, stood up and greeted Rouxi, who politely smiled at her and greeted her back.

"So, what did you make?" Feifei impatiently asked as she looked at all the food on the table, and despite herself, she could not help but salivate at the appetising aroma of the delicacies that awaited her.

"Not telling. Just sit and eat." He refused, and she huffed before she poured herself some soup to start with.

Fiona happily served Keith, plating his meal for him, and he allowed her to do it. Something that made her smile and her happiness was noticed by everyone.

She loved serving him.

"Thank you." He said with a smile, causing her to blush and bow to him, and then the girl happily took her seat. "Do you like it?" She hopefully asked as watched Feifei taste the soup she had prepared.

"Love it! It's delicious."

Fiona happily nodded to her and reached forward to plate some Beef Chili Dry and Rice for herself, and her eyes widened in amazement as soon as she tasted them.

She immediately turned to look at her Master and blushed when she found him smiling at her.

"Like it?" He knowingly asked, and she could only dumbly nod her head.

She had never before tasted something as delicious as this, and then she silently engrossed herself in her meal, savouring every mouthful of it.

Was there anything her Master was not good at?

Now that Feifei knew what Keith had prepared, she quickly finished her soup and plated some of it.

The moment the flavours hit her, she froze, and then she too looked at Keith in amazement.

Rouxi too had tasted some out of curiosity, and the expressions that crossed their faces and their exchange of glances forced Iseul to burst out laughing.

Soon, Ayesha and Qingyue were laughing as well, but neither Feifei nor Rouxi were embarrassed about it.

"Did you really make this?" The daughter of the Wei Family asked with excitement burning in her eyes.

"Yes. Why? Is it not the most delicious thing you have ever tasted?" He grinned at her.

"Aren't you a little too sure of yourself?" She huffed, a little irritated by his narcissism. "It's just okay."

"That's it? Well, I won't cook again then." He shrugged and immediately got the reaction he was looking for.

"Alright, fine. It is the best Beef Chili Dry I have ever tasted, and the rice too. Happy now?" She pouted.

"Of course." He chuckled. "Eat now."

Neither Feifei nor Rouxi spoke another word for the rest of their meal. They were simply engrossed in eating things that Keith had prepared, and they could not remember the last time they had eaten so much in their life.

"Where did you learn to cook?" Feifei asked, and he smiled at her question.

"I was taught as a child. And my mother frequently made me help her out in the kitchen whenever she chose to cook a meal. The reason why I am so good at it has a lot to do with the knowledge I possess about the ingredients and my heightened senses." He told her and watched her grin.

"A Young Master who was taught how to cook?"

"Yes." He shrugged. "Both men and women in our family must learn how to cook. It's an old tradition which is still respected by the Demiliore Family."

"If Qingyue had not told me who you were, I would have really mistaken you for some God of Cooking." She laughed, and he chuckled at her words.

"I can still become one." He shrugged again, and Feifei, sensing that he was not exactly joking, surprisedly looked at him.

"How?"

"The Divinities I have inherited are not exactly mine. Not yet. And given my talent, I am not limited to them alone. I can form a lot more different Divinities than the God whose powers I have inherited. Not every Inheritor manages to form exactly the same Divinities as the God whose legacy they were blessed with."

"You want to surpass him?" She narrowed her eyes and asked, and Keith nodded his head.

"Of course."

"Why?" She frowned. "Wasn't Erebus one of the most powerful Gods in existence?"

"He was." A smile crossed his lips. "And yet he is gone."

His words were followed by a deathly silence at the table, and he did not need to elaborate on them.

The girls felt the weight of his words pressing on their hearts, and it nearly suffocated them.

Even Gods could fall, which meant that no one truly could ever escape Death.

"Who could have killed him?" Rouxi frowned.

"He was not killed," Keith revealed to them, much time their surprise.

"Then?"

"He's just gone." He smiled. "I don't know exactly what happened back then, but a lot of Gods disappeared. But yes, most of them died. Since their Legacies exist, it means that those Gods who did not die and just disappeared would never return as well."

"You could be his reincarnation, you know?" Feifei smiled and raised her brow when he shook his head.

"Once you have attained Immortality, you can not reincarnate. If you are killed, there is no coming back. The same goes for the Gods. If they are killed, they are gone forever."

"What's the point of Immortality then?" She frowned.

"You can live forever." He smiled. "The only way you can die is if you are killed. Also, for those who reincarnate, it's a completely different life. Only a few of them ever manage to regain the memories of their past lives. So, what's the point of getting reincarnated? People would rather live one eternal life than several short lives."

"And not everyone can get reincarnated," Qingyue added, making them all look at her. "Only if you have gathered a substantial amount of good Karma, do you have a chance of reincarnation."

Feifei, Rouxi, and Fiona stayed silent after those words, digesting the information.

Never in their lives did they expect to sit at a table one day, discussing the truth of life that humans were not privy to.

"You did not go to the office today." He smiled as he looked at Rouxi, and she frowned before nodding her head.

She did not want to say it, but with everything that happened today, she had not thought about office and work at all.

Was it even important?

She knew in her heart that these mundane things were not important at all. Besides, ever since she had watched the girls spar last night, her mind had been focused on growing stronger.

"How long does it take for someone to achieve Immortality?" Feifei suddenly asked, and Qingyue giggled at her question.

"Thousands of years. Tens of Thousands of years." She informed them, and they both gaped at her words.

"Thousands?" Rouxi frowned.

"Yes. It is not an easy road and it is a long journey. Also, don't think about focusing on Cultivation alone. I will give you a secret."

They both perked their ears and curiously looked at her.

"Have fun along the way. It will make you progress faster and will benefit you a lot. Cultivating all the time will limit your potential."

"Why?" Feifei frowned.

"Not telling. You will understand it one day." She mischievously said, and Feifei rolled her eyes as she found Qingyue behaving like Keith.

"You really are his wife. No doubt about it." She commented, and both Keith and Qingyue laughed at her words.
