Wandering in Omniverse

Ch 67 – Legia

Jason unleashed all of his cloaked magic power, too.

Wuuoongg-….

Ripples spread out to Jason's surroundings.

Even then….

Hahahaha-

The opponent didn't stop laughing, even then.

The corners of Jason's lips also arched up in response.

'What a funny fella. Laughing so hard before his death!'

Soon, Jason reached the boss's chamber. He was greeted by an unfathomably huge and open space that should have served as the home for the super-massive Giant monster.

He continued to walk towards where the laughter was coming from without a shred of hesitation.

A few seconds later, a huge, muscular man with bluish-gray skin entered their vision. His entire body was tied down by chains, with the sole exception of his head.

The man formed a bright smile while looking at Jason as if he had run into a very close friend.

"Oh, how humorous this is! So very humorous!! All of you detestable Ruler bastards, take a good look at who had come to see me first!"

Jason stopped near him and stared at the man.

The man quickly carried on.

"The chains… hurry and undo these chains. I know all the plans of the Rulers. I need to let the other Sovereigns know of the tru….."

The man's words suddenly came to a halt, then. His eyes, filled with joy only until a moment ago, had cooled down in an instant as if it had all been a lie.

"…"

This unknown man quietly peered into Jason's red ruby eyes.

A short bout of silence flowed in between them.

Only after a while did the lips of this unknown man part open.

"You are…. not the one that I know of."

Jason grinned and took a step forward, standing only a few inches away from that man.

"Hello there, Monarch of the Beginning, Legia, The King of Giants."

Legia showed a surprised expression when he looked at Jason.

"Y-You're not him so... How... do you..."

"Hehe... I'm also a Monarch, The Shadow Monarch! But I'm also different from the one you know since Ashborn is my friend. And his vessel is one of subordinates"

Legia's eyes trembled. He couldn't believe his hearing.

Another Shadow Monarch? How can this be possible?

Seemingly reading his thoughts, Jason chuckled and continued.

"Ah, please don't wreck your little brain so much. Since you can't even guess it in eons. Ashborn is much more intelligent than you in this regard. Hahaha..."

"What... what do you mean?!"

"As you can see Ashborn had betrayed both the Rulers and Monarchs. And you being a Monarch made you my enemy as I'm a friend of Ashborn." Jason's eyes flashed with red light as he released his killing intent on Legia. "So, what should I do about you?!"

Legia's entire body trembled in fear as goosebumps spread all over his skin.

'What is this?... Such pressure and intense bloodlust. It is like... I'm standing in front of that being...'

Legia didn't know why but his body moved instinctively bending his head to the ground.

If not because he's chained, he might have prostituted himself.

"I'll... I'll join... your side. I swear I'll fight on your side. So will you h-"

"Tch, tch, are you even worthy enough?" Jason mocked him as he snapped his finger and instantly a few gates opened in front of Legia.

Legia raised his head and gazed into them.

A single glance caused his entire self to shiver with goosebumps and his back drenched in a cold sweat.

Jason was amused as he said. "Hehe... I never thought that even the Monarchs could feel goosebumps."

Grabbing Legia's head, Jason whispered in his ear. "At least the Rulers are much more brave than you. They put up a decent fight before becoming a part of me. And now it's time for you to join them too."

Jason's eyes turned dark black as a vicious aura spread out from Jason's feet, covering both him and Legia into a sphere.

"N-No! D-Don't... Don't... I will..."

Legia begged for mercy, watching the endless shadow opening its maw like a deep abyss. It grabbed Legia, dragging him down to hell.

'Hehe... he was created from Darkness and now he was swallowed by the darkness. What a fitting ending!...'

Jason chuckled evilly, throwing the chains into his inventory. Since he knew he needed a massive amount of mana to be released for the world to change, Jason sighed and raised his hand letting out a huge amount of mana into the surroundings.

The ocean-like magical energy exploded into the world outside.

After making sure that there was nothing left to collect, Jason exited the gate and was instantly greeted by the sea of reporters and his guild members.

"Hunter Hades, Thank you! Thank you so much!" Matsumoto Shigeo bowed his body at the 90* angle in front of Jason, sincerely showing his appreciation.

Jason gazed at the President of the Japanese Hunter Association, patting his shoulder before walking away with his guild members.

Even they everything seemed good on the surface, but they had some history together.

~~Flashback~~

After the first S-rank gate was cleared, Jason expanded his authority like a fire, spreading it to all corners of the world.

Not a single place was out of his reach.

Jason opened a branch of his Paradise Guild in all of the powerful countries, assigning his most trusted aides a position.

He kept it average in countries where a National Level Hunter resided to not break the treaties but for the other countries, he controlled all of their markets and gates, in a way, ruling those countries from the shadows.

One of such countries was Japan!

It first welcomed Jason's guild with open arms as they needed his help in clearing the high-ranking dungeons that kept appearing all over Japan.

But when S-rank hunters continued to awaken in their country, the situation changed completely.

Matsumoto Shigeo, the President of the Hunter's Association was actually the most displeased with the Twin Dragon Guild.

Matsumoto Shigeo was a greedy and self-centered man as he wanted to control all the hunters to become a powerful figure. But Twin Guild was not in his control as they didn't even recognize his presence let alone listening to him.

It really pissed him off!

And for that, he supported Goto Ryuji from the shadows, in establishing a guild that could rival the Twin Dragon Guild.

With his help, Goto Ryuji's Draw Sword Guild got the permit for most of the gates, leaving only the low-rank gates for the Twin Guild guild to humiliate them.

But Long Sha and Duan Jian didn't even entertain them as they dispatched the hunters outside.

As most of the overseas requests asked for the Twin Dragon Guild, Matsumoto Shigeo couldn't get in their way and could grit his teeth.

That was until that fateful day...
