Wayfaring Stranger

Chapter 26: Harry (Short)

Harry Potter could not be happier, his family had grown larger than he could have ever hoped for. Lily and James were not his parents, at least not their younger alternate reality selves, but the two had practically adopted him. So in some weird way they were now his adopted siblings. Vela was strange, she was in every way his godfather Sirius Black. Only she was, well, closer to his age and a girl. She was also dating his sort of father more like a brother James. The two Remus' had interacted with each other like the twins only much more tame and less wacky. Peter, not the traitor, was so much like Neville. Kind and thoughtful, it was hard for him to see him ever betray his parents. At least the younger version anyways.

Theseus, or Theo as those close to him had referred, was much less easy to anger than when he had first met the god. Hermoine had gushed about the Greek myths when he had told her about his origins and status as a god. Theo had been opening up to the bushy haired bookworm about his past over the months. He had been surprised to learn that the other dark haired green eyed teen didn't always start out as a god. He had started out as a demigod son of Poseidon. According to him, Poseidon had been one of the few respectable gods in the Greek pantheon. He had also eventually divulged the fact that he had a younger brother around Harry's age. He didn't return to that world for the fear of being overpowered and his family there being harmed by the other gods.

Harry also learned that Theseus was a lot older than he let on. Theo had lost count somewhere along the way, though he did mention that he might just be around five to six hundred years old. Though physically he was stuck at sixteen. He used his godly powers to adjust his appearance accordingly. The Marauders gave Lily quite a bit of flak once their relationship became public. James and Sirius called her a cradle snatcher only for her to turn them both bright pink with a charm they couldn't cancel out.

The biggest surprise to Harry was Bellatrix and Narcissa Black. Who, in his world, had both married Death Eaters. The two younger women were like his aunts in the sense that they tried to get all the embarrassing details of his life. They both attended Hogwarts with everyone else but with glamours that Theseus put on them since both weren't very well liked in this world.

Snape, the greasy git, had become rather reserved. No longer hovering and sneering at anyone since the start of last year. Though he did send nasty glares at Lily and Theo when they showed any kinds of affection in the Great Hall.

So far life was much better for Harry, no Voldemort, no idiot classmates, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Albus Dumbledore was content. Without the threat of war or a Dark Lord plaguing his mind he had finally settled down to what he loved most. Teaching the future generations of the wizarding world. He had left the IWC and the Ministry months ago and couldn't be happier. Being Headmaster to a prestigious school was difficult enough as it was without having two other jobs. Contrary to popular belief he actually hated having so many titles. His hands weren't as they were in his youth and writing letters caused them unnecessary pain.

He had watched Harry come out of his shell with the presence of the alternate versions of Lily, James, and the other friends he had lost in the last war. Theseus had been a godsend, quite literally, for Harry.

Wizarding society was still as dark and unforgiving to those without 'the right pedigree' but one could only do so much. He would see their world change for the better one step at a time.

Minerva McGonagall was torn between feeling happy and frustrated. On one hand, life at Hogwarts had improved since the arrival of certain individuals. On the other, the infamous Marauders were back. The Weasley twins had practically fallen over themselves to help out pulling pranks on unsuspecting students and staff. She fought the urge to pour herself a dram and continued grading papers.

Severus Snape was beyond livid and there was nothing he could do about it. The Potters had multiplied and despite the fact that Lily was back, she was now with that boy Theseus. His blood boiled every time he saw the boy's hands on her. Every kiss they shared made him see red. Alas, he knew what the 'boy' was and could do nothing.
