The war on the internet showed no signs of dying, instead, it got more and more fierce and the scandal did not leave the 'trending' section during the entire ordeal 

According to Sister Xue, many companies had their own group of paid internet users that were ordered to keep the flames going. When it looked like the flames were dying, they would immediately set off the sparks again, turning black to white as they distorted the truth. Wen Jiexi no longer paid any attention and focused wholeheartedly on shooting the film, but the atmosphere among the cast and crew had become tense. In the first place, the cast didn't interact with the crew much and only nodded when they met. Now, the relations have degraded to a freezing point and it was already considered turning a benevolent blind eye if they brushed by a crew member without saying anything. Of course, this awkward behavior was only between actors from Guanghua and the crew from Xingle. 

Wen Jiexi also noticed that the scenes that included Guanghua actors kept getting delayed. One could not tell if this was an intentional or unintentional mistake by the filming crew, but it seems that apart from a few simple scenes none of the important scenes were being filmed. 

"Well, that's a given. It's because we don't know who among the actors from Guanghua have participated in this mess. If they were sent to court afterward, then they cannot stay here and finish filming their part. I even heard that the crew are privately looking for new actors to replace them." Chu Heling answered after Wen Jiexi asked her. 

"I thought we had to wait for the verdict before deciding anything." Wen Ting remarked as she tilted her head. 

"If we waited for the verdict to be passed, then this drama might as well stop filming. If one of our actors winds up in jail, it will heavily influence our drama's ratings and reviews." Chu Heling said. 

"Since things have long since blown out of proportions, there will be many anti-fans who will criticize the film so it will not be impossible for them to use the fact that one of our actors is in jail to their advantage." Li Lingmeng said and drank a sip of water. These past few days, she has studied up some knowledge about the workings of social media. She learned that one should not look only at the process but at the end goals as well. A black stain did not necessarily mean failure, but that one had to work towards an end where the gains outweigh the loss. This was work that assistants and agents must for their company and artists. 

"And we already spoke up for Jiexi! Aren't we great friends?" Lan Yuyan patted his chest proudly and laughed. 

"Yes, yes, thank you very much." Wen Jiexi said with a smile. The people standing in front of her had gone public to speak up for her and they themselves were subjected to an influx of haters and anti-fans. However, both Chu Heling and Yan Haocheng had a stable foundation so that a few more anti-fans only felt like a tickle to them as they have already gone through even tougher storms. 

But Lan Yuyan and Wen Ting received harsher treatments. Since the netizens couldn't insult Chu Heling and Yan Haocheng, they moved over to the two newcomers' Weibo to quarrel. Furthermore, neither of them was like Wen Jiexi who had filmed an advertisement before so they had no accomplishments to speak of and they were easy targets for the trolls. But, those two said they didn't give a damn about those hurtful comments on their social media. According to their words, since they know the truth and are just stating the facts, what were they afraid of? Can the anti-fans and trolls fly through the screens and physically beat them up? No! So why should they feel afraid? To these sentiments, Wen Jiexi felt both amused and moved at the same time. 

"I don't know what the new actors will be like but I know for sure that Ye Xinxin won't be able to keep her current position for much longer. I heard that she's been interrogated by the police for three days and she's been in there all by herself. I wonder what she had said." Wen Ting rubbed her chin and looked over at the visibility of depressed actors from Guanghua. As long as the suspicions are not cleared up, their scenes will be delayed longer and many of the actors who were on Zhong Liwen's side have changed their thoughts on the matter. It was unavoidable. These people didn't have a lot of lines in the first place and they needed to quickly move on to the next gig but they were stuck here indefinitely. Not only will they lose their credibility in future auditions, but they also wouldn't be able to explain it as the first impression is the most important. They no longer huddled around Zhong Liwen and if they weren't holed up in their rooms, they were staring blankly at their scripts as they didn't know what to do. 

"That has nothing to do with us, we might as well just focus on our own matters." Wen Jiexi replied with a shrug. 

Ding~ Ding~ Ding~

Li Lingmeng's phone rang loudly and she quickly stood up and stepped outside to answer the phone. Then she just as quickly returned, staring at everyone with wide eyes before she turned towards Wen Jiexi and whispered, 

"Sister Xue has informed me that the company will issue a statement at six o'clock this evening. Everyone make sure to respond to it when it comes out." 

"Understood." 

"Thank you." 

"Ok." 

Chu Heling and the others knew that this was inside information and Li Lingmeng was telling them this to thank them for speaking up for Wen Jiexi earlier. It was her way of repaying them and the faster one repaid a favor the better.

Now, let's wait and see! Wen Jiexi coincidentally met Zhong Liwen's gaze and then nodded politely, The other party no longer wanted to pretend anymore and although her expression was calm, her eyes were filled with poison as she glared at Wen Jiexi. Wen Jiexi stared back without caving to the pressure. In her opinion, she will never see Zhong Liwen ever again after today. 

However, Zhong Liwen was different. She was not as calm as Wen Jiexi. She hated Wen Jiexi for so long and this little bit*h had not cooperated since the beginning which caused all these troubles to happen. Things were getting worse and worse and as long as Xingle doesn't issue a statement, she had trouble eating and even sleeping. She understood that these kinds of things would only get worse as they dragged on, but now she was at the end of her ropes as she couldn't do anything else to make the scandal even bigger than it already is. She wanted to rely on her old, yet efficient tactic of accusing someone of ruining a celebrity's reputation. She wanted to directly throw this little bit*h into the director's room and then spread unsavory rumors but she could not order the drugs needed to do this. She was already on a mountain she couldn't get off of and could only glare at the bit*h that still looked unscathed before her. 

Naturally, Wen Jiexi had no idea that Zhong Liwen's heart was so dark. If it weren't for the fact that the crew and police have forbidden anyone from leaving, she would've had many more traps and schemes waiting for her. Instead, she waited with bated breath for Zhong Liwen's final fate. 

When she finished her scenes, Wen Jiexi waved goodbye to everyone and then hurriedly dragged Li Lingmeng back to the hotel with her. It was only a little bit after five and so it was dinner time as well. 

In order to save themselves the inconvenience of going back down for many trips and then missing the news at six, they packed up a large serving of the food. Li Lingmeng carried two buckets full of hot rice and stir-fry with rice noodles. Wen Jiexi carried a tray in each hand, one holding a mountain of vegetables and the other a mountain of meat. As they made their way up the stairs, everyone stared after them. Just how many dishes did they clean out….

However, as the two people finally arrived at the fifth floor, tired and out of breath, they realized they didn't have any free hands to open the door. There was no one nearby so they couldn't ask for help. What should they do? They couldn't just put the food on the ground, right? Li Lingemgn banged lightly on the door a few times, hoping that Su Chenyu was in the room right now. Otherwise, they will have to stand in front of the door waiting miserably with a pile of food. It was a funny yet horrifying scene that Wen Jiexi didn't want to imagine. 

Fortunately, they were lucky as the door clicked open from the inside. However, it was not Su Chenyu who opened the door but Lin Yunxi. 

"Ah, so it's you guys-pfft! Why did you bring so much food?" Lin Yunxi was not too surprised to see them, but let out a chuckle when she saw the mountains of food in their hands. She stepped to the side and opened the door for them. 

"Hahaha, something big is going to happen! We don't have time to go back and forth for food!" Wen Jiexi smiled dryly and then carefully stepped past Lin Yunxi with the two trays. She only realized that Xue Molin and Wang Anyi were also in the room after she walked in. 

"Sister Xue, Sister Wang, you're here too!" Li Lingemng greeted first and then set the buckets down on the table. She shook her hands a little as she exerted too much strength and they were all red now. 

"Ah, are you ok?" Lin Yunxi anxiously grabbed Li Lingmeng's red hands and rubbed them gently. 

"I'm not that delicate." Li Lingmeng said and rolled her eyes but did not move to withdraw her hands from Lin Yunxi's grasp. 

Wen Jiexi studied the two of them. Why did she feel that the atmosphere between the two was….a bit different? Must be her imagination. 

"If you're hungry, let's eat first. But I don't think there's enough here for six people. Xue Moling looked at the pile of food and although usually, it would be more than enough, there were three big eating kinds here and this amount was simply not enough. 

"Don't worry! We'll go down and get more if it isn't enough!" Wen Jiexi said while patting her chest. 

"Jiexi, come here." Su Chenyu said at this moment. 

"Coming!" 

Li Lingmeng & Lin Yunxi & Xue Molin & Wang Anyi: …..I think I just saw a scene of an owner calling for their dog….

Su Chenyu watched as the little fellow ran over obediently even though there were other people watching. She felt rather satisfied and stretched out an arm to hook it around Wen Jiexi's slender waist and pulled her into her side. She then took out a phone and with a click took a picture of them. 

"What are you doing?" Wen Jiexi froze. She actually took a selfie with Su Chenyu?! She didn't even have a chance to smile yet! 

"I'm going to use it later." Su Chenyu explained and rubbed Wen Jiexi's head. At the same time, she was very happy that she finally had a photo of them on her phone. She had felt sour when she saw that one photo with Xue Molin. 

"Ah…wait, let me see it first…let's take another if it's not good…" Wen Jiexi reached over and wanted to grab the phone but Su Chenyu easily pulled away from her grasp. 

"I think it's fine." Su Chenyu said and glanced at the photo. However, from this angle, Wen Jiexi could only see the reflection of the light bouncing off the screen. She anxiously moved forward but Su Chenyu just gently pushed her back. 

Wen Jiexi looked pitifully towards the other people in her room, hoping for someone to help her persuade Su Chenyu. Her personal image was very important after all! But every person in the room either had their head lowered and were looking at their phone or simply turned away from her. Li Lingmeng's reaction was even more exaggerated. For after bowing in worship towards her, she turned around and started searching for snacks. Are you even my friend anymore? This is too much, QAQ! 

"Be good, don't you trust me?" 

"It's not that…." Wen Jiexi's lips tugged down and she shrank back, falling onto Su Chenyu's bed. The fragrant scent of Su Chenyu wafted into her nose and Wen Jiexi happily rubbed her face against the sheets. Then she thought of something and pressed her stomach against the back of Su Chenyu's waist so that her entire person was bent over Su Chenyu. This way, Su Chenyu would have a hard time getting up! Hehe, Wen Jiexi praised herself for coming up with this prank as revenge! And Su Chenyu just patted Wen Jiexi's head in an indulgent manner.

The clock struck six and everyone immediately opened their Weibo and saw that Xingle had issued a statement, a very long one at that and it instantly became number one in trending. 

Xingle Company (V): Regarding what happened a few days ago, we will not give an explanation that you have been asking for. 

The intro was very simple and then they clearly laid out the timeline of what happened one by one. The provided details, form photos, and even police verification to other information that provided a succinct explanation. Everything was reasonable and meticulous and they even explained the mess regarding Wen Jiexi's recording. 

After reading the information above, I hope the public can understand the truth of this matter. Those who have participated in this incident will be brought to justice to face Xingle in court. 

In a blink of an eye, the post was forwarded at 10,000 reposts a second and the replies came out immediately with a few thousands every swipe down. It made Wen Jiexi feel amazed at the power of the internet and she also reposted the Xingle statement on her account with a reply: 

Thank you to Xingle for their fairness and for getting justice for me. I hope everyone was not blinded by the baseless rumors from before. 

Although the number of comments she received was not as much as the posting form Xingle, she still received quite a bit. 

Comment #1: What did I say? I told you our little sheep wouldn't do such a thing! Listening to that kind of annoying woman, her words are worth only a fart and she must've been drunk too have twisted it like that.

Any and all ugly words have been used and there were now only around one hundred thousand fans out of her original one million. Most of her fans didn't know after all and now the only ones left were trolls and anti-fans that followed her so they could abuse her. Wen Jiexi sighed involuntarily at this scene. If only this girl didn't put her trust in the wrong person. Now her entire life was ruined. 

Then she clicked on Zhong Liwen's Weibo. As Li Lingmeng has said, the state of her account wasn't as serious. Her fans quarreled with the people who cursed their idol and argued with each other loudly.

The other party will most likely vomit up blood in anger when they find out. 

"Little Su, are you going to post now?" Wang Anyi opened her mouth at this moment. 

"No, if I post now, won't I steal Zhong Liwen's thunder?" Su Chenyu raised her eyebrows and said.

Wen Jiexi's mouth hung open. She never expected Sister Su to have such an evil side to her! Below were dozens of videos and audio recordings, the evidence was abundant. With brimming curiosity, Wen Jiexi clicked on one of the videos. What appeared was a big red room but the camera was erected probably and the picture was very clear. On the screen, the woman with a decent figure was only wearing a white bath towel and the body was a little wet. She waved at the camera only after she got on the bed and seemed to know about the existence of the camera. 

Then in came a middle-aged man with only a towel wrapped around his lower body He looked old and ugly and glanced over at the camera. He didn't say anything but his eyes revealed excitement. Soon after, strange noises sounded out….aaah~…mmmh~….and so on. The bodies entangled together and….w-what is this?! While Wen Jiexi looked on with a shocked and unbelievable gaze, a hand reached out and turned off her phone, turning her head around. 

"Children should not look at these things." Su Chenyu said lightly but her eyes were filled with a sharpness that made one feel guilty. 

"Oh…oh…" Wen Jiexi nodded obediently. She thought about it and in order not to poke the angry bear, she decided to click on Zhong Liwen's Weibo instead. Now the white lotus' Weibo was filled with curses and insults that were even worse than Ye Xinxin's Weibo. The white lotus fans were only struggling a little at first but then was outnumbered as more and more curses came in and they couldn't stand up for their artist anymore. Instead, they could only ask Zhong Liwen for an explanation.

Wen Jiexi's phone vibrated and she saw that Su Chenyu had posted.
