Chapter 143: Bantay VS Elaine
"Oh? So you knew about it?" Elaine laughed elegantly after confirming that her guessed was correct. This beast was for sure, a tamed beast of one of the other X-rank Hunters. It really didn't disappoint her. The other X-ranks appeared to be not ordinary as well.
"So who is your master? The Light? The Life? ...The Peace?" With a smile, Elaine asked calmly as she added, "But seeing that you are a tamed beast, your master should be The Life, am I right?"
Bantay on the other hand frowned. Besides The Life, the other two titles mentioned by the other party were also a bit familiar for him. After racking his brain for some time, he finally saw a fragment of memories in his mind. Only then did he realize that those titles given by the little girl in front of him were the titles of the Four Greatest Hunters...
The Life, the one who ruled over life and the one who was an incomparably strong user of Spiritual Energy. Just like Bantay's master, The Life used his own blood and soul as his army to display his overwhelming strength.
The Light, the one who illuminates all darkness. He was the strongest user of Weapon Energy as he once was called the 'Emperor of all Weapons!' No weapon dared to disobey his command as he could wield even the wildest weapon with ease.
The Peace, the ruler of protection and the greatest user of Physical Energy. It was said that not even hot and cold could penetrate his body. It was said that he could defeat all his opponents with mere brute strength.
And lastly, The Creator. He was the one who could manifest anything with mere words or thoughts. The one who was the top user of Mental Energy.
Bantay could barely remember any of this information. And he really was cursing the world how did he end up forgetting all his memories.
Nonetheless, these Four Greatest Hunters were incomparably strong in their own way and no one could tell who would be the victor if those four fought each other. It might appear that The Light would be the victor now, but who could say that he would still be the victor if they fought again tomorrow? To put it simply, they all had equal strength to the point that being a victor was only a matter of luck.
In any case, considering that the little girl mentioned The Life, The Light, and The Peace to him, it was highly likely that this little girl who called herself Elaine was the inheritor of The Creator. Bantay narrowed his eyes towards Elaine as he asked, "What are you doing here?"
Elaine couldn't help but chuckle softly, "Not answering me huh. How rude..."
She was the one who first asked a question but this beast, instead of answering her, the other party continued to ask her. Elaine really thought that the other party was looking for a good beating.
That being said, Bantay immediately felt a shiver as he immediately waved his hand to protect himself. He couldn't see it but he knew full well that something dangerous was coming at him.
Swoosh!
And just like that, it was as if a very tiny thread of silk was cut into pieces just after he waved his hand. Bantay then increased his beast sense and sure enough, the sudden attack came from Elaine. It was very tiny to the point that he wasn't able to detect it with just naked eyes, but with his beast sense, he could tell that it was the hair of the other party.
So this brat controlled dangerous hair? Bantay remarked to himself. He felt that if he got a little careless, this thread of tiny hair might deliver him his death. This information was really helpful to his master. Bantay even felt that his mission was already fulfilled. But he knew as well that thinking that this was the only ability of the other party, was certainly stupid.
That said, Bantay was determined to beat up this kid to get more information from her. But of course, he couldn't be underestimating the other party because just like his master, this kid would certainly have her own way to display her terrifying strength that didn't pale in comparison to his master.
"Woah, as expected to the tamed beast of the inheritor of The Life!" On the other hand, seeing that her attempt of attacking the beast in front of her failed, Elaine was still ever before calm. She then took another sip of a cup of tea before she continued, "Then how about this..."
Bantay suddenly felt that from all directions, there was a thread of hair coming at him. Whether it would be whipping at him or in a form of a spike, Bantay knew that this time, he needed to put more strength to survive this.
So just like that, Bantay unleashed an overwhelming World Energy that produced terrifying pressure on his surroundings. After some time, his body seemed to toughen and strengthen to multiple folds.
A beast like him was blessed in Physical Energy. And with his Physical Energy, he could strengthen his body to a certain extent. His World Energy was overwhelming as well considering that he was now an S-rank beast. That being said, he could destroy these strands of invisible hair into pieces with almost no problem at all.
Or at least that was what he thought.
Bantay frenziedly swung his hand against the threads of hair coming at him as if he was cutting off a fishnet. But later, he realized that it was as if no end to it at all. It continued to come at him giving him a feeling of unease. If this went on, at this rate, he might run out of World Energy before he could even destroy these seemingly endless strands of hair.
With that being said, Bantay's physique became bigger and bigger and furs were now starting to envelop his body. Fangs grew from his teeth and a tail sprouted out from his butt. It was obvious that Bantay was morphing himself in his original form.
"Oh?" Elaine, on the other hand, was still as calm as before as she smiled then again before taking another sip from the cup of tea. This battle really warmed her up. She really was delighted seeing the action of the beast. "Good, let's play more then."
After saying those words, Elaine snapped her finger and said, "Teddy Bears."
Two huge teddy bears then appeared and fell just above Bantay right away. Their size didn't pale in comparison to the gorilla form of Bantay. They also have sharp claws and teeth as one of them was readying a claw attack while the other one was readying a bite.
"This is... the power of creation!" Bantay looked above as he was almost shocked to death. He could tell that these two huge bears had a strength that he must not take lightly.
Bantay had immediately formed a fist as he smashed it against the incoming teddy bear that was trying to claw him. Soon after that, it appeared that Bantay's strength was simply overwhelming as the teddy bear turned into a pile of cotton and was immediately splattered all around. Bantay didn't waste any more time though. Just after a few moments he destroyed the other teddy bear, he hurriedly smashed his fist against the other one sideways as its head burst forth leaving the teddy bear headless.
But Bantay was careful. He was afraid that this teddy would still attack him despite being headless. That being said, he grabbed its neck with both of his hands as he tore off the teddy bear's body in half before throwing it away.
Clap, clap, clap!
"Not bad, not bad!" Elaine clapped her hand as she said. Her toys were immediately destroyed just like that? This was really interesting!
"So then, let's start the next wave!" With that said, Elaine snapped her finger yet again as she added, "Toy Soldier."
Right after saying those words, another toy appeared and surrounded Bantay. These toys held a sword in their hand and were all the same in appearance. Although their size was just half the size of Bantay, their number this time was pretty annoying. And Bantay could only grit his teeth. It seemed like the other party was trying to exhaust him to death.
Slowly, the toy soldier walked towards him intending to slaughter him. But Bantay didn't wait for them to come as he rushed towards Elaine and as he smashed into pieces all the toys that came on his way.
He was planning to attack Elaine instead of wasting his time playing with these toys.
But when he was about to jump on the pond to come at Elaine, something grabbed his feet. He looked to what was it only to see the hand of the toy soldier he'd smashed into pieces grabbing at him. Bantay was immediately annoyed. But when he was about to shake away the hand of the toy soldier, the others had already reached their distance at him as they immediately gave Bantay a sword slash.
"Damn these annoying toys!" Bantay then turned around as he swung his hand right away. In every swung he made, there were shattered pieces of toy soldiers that would be sent flying. The only frustrating thing was that new toy soldiers kept appearing from time to time making Bantay grit his teeth in frustration even more.
This little brat was really trying to exhaust him!
