Chapter 145: An Army
Screech!
Roar!
Two sides collided against each other as a bloody and chaotic battlefield was being formed.
The Tree-Merger Apes took advantage of the forest as they hurriedly merged themselves with the tree to cause even more chaos. Branches of the trees whipped away the enemy beasts as Leaf Blades and Bullet Seeds were continuously attacking the enemies all around the area.
But would the enemy beasts let themselves being defeated just like that? No way!
The Fire Monkeys breathed pillars of fires and cause huge waves of fire to engulf the chaotic battlefield. Not only that, the Iron Gorillas were pinning down every tree on its way with its brute strength. Other magical beasts unleashed their elemental prowess leaving the Tree-Merger Apes helpless. Many of them had even fallen from the furious barrage of attack of the many enemy beasts. Although they managed to bring some of the enemy beasts down with them, the enemy numbers were just too depressing for them.
So then, as a result, many droplets of blood appeared and surrounded Jim. Jim swept his gaze at the droplets of blood around him as he knew that these were the blood of his Tree-Merger Apes that just died in the battle.
The droplets of blood then gathered at him as he absorbed all of them right away. He wasn't able to summon them again unless he did it that way and charge them with Life Energy. So after a few moments, Jim then intended to let the droplets of blood come out as it all came out and hurriedly morphed themselves into Tree-Merger Apes. They didn't wait for their master's order as they rushed towards the enemy to avenge themselves.
Jim sighed. These beasts were worst than dogs. At least, the dogs would bark before they attack their enemy without an order.
After which, another ball of blood shot out of Jim's body. It was much redder compared to the ball of blood of the Tree-Merger Apes. After a few moments, it morphed into a huge bear as it roared right away after coming out.
Who else could it be other than Batik?
"Go and enjoy yourself too," Jim ordered calmly.
Batik roared then again as he rushed towards the enemy beasts to cause yet another chaos. But this time, he made sure that he would face the stronger ones.
He ran past through the weaklings on the battlefield as he went directly to the one who was at the very end of the battlefield. It was another bear like him and their size was just almost the same. The only difference was that the other party's furs were pure black in color.
So then, the fight between them broke out as Jim watched them from afar. It was a sight that was pleasing to the eyes though.
But Jim didn't have so much time to waste. Considering that there was a greater amount of beasts among the enemy ranks, few of them could go past through his Blood Warriors in the area and went directly at him. Jim could only shot them with his Blood Bullet.
Knowing that this would happen from time to time, another ball of blood came out from Jim. Soon afterward, it morphed itself into something like a human-form but those who could see it could tell that it wasn't human. Its body was entirely red in color and was faceless. Who could it be other than Tokayo? The only Blood Guardian that Jim had.
"Can you take care of this bunch for me?" Jim asked. He knew that Tokayo already knew the situation the entire time. But knowing as well that there was no threat in the area, Tokayo didn't bother himself to care what was going on.
But since his master called him to handle some insects he could only obey his master. With just a single touch, Tokayo could absorb into dryness every beast that tried to approach his master.
As the battle raged on, Jim revived his Blood Warriors then and again while he was watching the chaos carefully. Jim held himself back to move himself to annihilate the enemy beasts in the area. After all, he wanted to see the strength of his Blood Warriors. And also, these Blood Warriors of his, the Tree-Merger Apes, were already itching to fight for some time now. They were just hoping that through this furious battle, they could at least grow stronger.
And their hope was paid off! As they slaughtered the enemy beasts, they soaked themselves with blood and that blood made them stronger. Although it wasn't comparable to their master, they could absorb their enemies' blood slowly giving them a little increase of Life Energy. They even felt that as long as they do it from time to time, they believed that someday, they could also reach new heights.
On the other hand, Jim who was continuously reviving his Blood Minions from time to time felt that his Life Energy was decreasing. These Blood Warriors of his were really draining his Life Energy fast. Or perhaps, it was also the cause of the little beast that was sucking his blood the entire time. Jim was helpless, but seeing the cute beast he carried on his arm and was enjoying the taste of his blood, Jim felt that it should be fine. And also, the excruciating pain he felt before was now bearable making Jim heaved a sigh of relief.
And thankfully as well, there were many corpses of beasts in the area. Since Jim was too bored watching, Jim would shot them with his Blood Bullet as he absorbed their blood right away increasing his Life Energy to avoid being drained fast.
Not only that, but he was also making their body as his Blood Warriors giving them a new life and a new chance to become stronger. Those corpses that were shattered or heavily damaged were restoring themselves to their original state once Jim's blood was given to them. The sight was simply pleasing to Jim's eyes.
Soon enough, the tides of battle were turned. Jim's Blood Warrior became greater in numbers while on the other hand, the enemy beasts were gradually decreasing helplessly.
Just what the heck was with these beasts? The enemy beasts could only curse in their heart how could it be possible that their enemy was able to revive from time to time. Not only that, their fallen allies were becoming their enemy as well as if they were zombies. Just how could they defeat this kind of enemy?
Run!
Some of them wished to run away but recalling the reason why were they here, they could only shiver in fear. Their little princess was held hostage, how could they not try to save this princess with their life? They knew full well that there would be greater consequences if they angered the queen once their furious escape was found out.
That being said, even if they died, the enemy beasts were determined to claim back their little princess. This ignited their courage even when they were facing a greater number of enemies. They roared and screeched into the loudest as they fought back with all their might.
Jim nodded in satisfaction. It appeared that these beasts weren't cowards unlike any other. These beasts would really be good as his Blood Warrior.
So then, the two sides collided again against each other revealing a much chaotic, but at the same time, spectacular sight. But although the enemy beasts had their courage being ignited, Jim's Blood Warrior wouldn't lose to them, especially when their master was here watching them.
Cries of agonies and thunderous roars echoed on the battlefield. There were also sounds of the explosion here and there. Heavy thuds sounded from time to time as trees kept falling.
Soon, the last drop of blood splattered on the ground. The battle had finally come to an end with a victorious howl of the beasts echoing nonstop. As if they had just won a great war. Who else won the battle if not Jim and his Blood Warriors?
Jim swept his indifferent gaze to his surroundings and saw the many and newly made Blood Warriors that were surrounding and looking at him as if he was some sort of King.
Jim nodded in yet another satisfaction. This time, he really created an army. It was just a pity that he couldn't add any more Blood Warriors since it seemed that his Spiritual Energy was lacking.
Two hundred. Including his Tree-Merger Apes, Jim counted and there were more than two hundred Blood Warriors under her wings. This number was already good enough compared to any Middle Ranker.
But of course, the numbers of the tamed beasts of a Beast Tamer was not the deciding factor of who was stronger among their ranks. It had to be known that the stronger tamed beast one had, the greater Spiritual Energy needed to keep it on check and so, the fewer the beast one could tame.
If Jim had only tamed B-rank beasts this time, he should be able to make a greater amount of Blood Warriors.
But he had managed to add three A-rank beasts as his Blood Warriors lowering the number of his Blood Warriors to some extent.
Even so, it was a good outcome for him. With this, his prowess increased again and Jim thought that this would be another trick he could put under his sleeve if he fought the other X-rank Hunter later on. Especially the brute girl he met before who was likely to have resentment against him.
