Chapter 162: Looking For The Other One
"What the... Stop joking around you brute!" Ben yelled out. This girl was really making him mad. How could this brute released such a murderous intent and then treat it as a mere joke?
But then, Janine only stared at him for a moment before shifting back her gaze to Jim as if she didn't see Ben at all.
Ben had immediately had his veins popping out on his head. This girl was really trying to get on his nerves. If she wasn't too strong, Ben might have already killed her long ago.
Meanwhile, Jim saw Janine staring at him with a meaningful look as if asking for something. Jim knew what she was looking for as he couldn't help but sigh deeply. "Alright, I'll give it back. If it wanted to return, that is."
"Really?!" Janine jumped up in joy. She then immediately reached her two hands towards Jim as she added in all excitement, "Give it back, give it back!"
Jim sighed then again. He knew that the other party was still looking for the beast he stole from her earlier. This girl was really persistent in getting it back.
Jim was still planning to make it his tamed beast but it appeared that he had no choice but to give it back.
So as helpless as he could be, he could only put the tip of his right thumb and index finger together before sucking some air and then putting it in his mouth. After which, he blew some air and a loud whistle echoed to the surroundings.
A while ago, Jim didn't bring the little beast into the illusion world but instead, he let it ride with his Evolving White Wolf. That being said, Bagsik and the little beast were having a ride around and Jim didn't know where they were.
But of course, it would be a different story if he shifted his consciousness to the Blood Minion he used to follow them. But Jim was too lazy to do it as he summoned them instead with a whistle.
So after a little while, as the whistle had ended, all the three of them felt that something was coming from a certain direction. They all gazed in that direction as finally, they saw a white wolf rushing in their direction. On its head was a little creature that was joyously riding on the wolf. It was something like a cat that was standing in two feet.
When Janine saw it, her heart skipped a bit. Her black pupil turned into a heart shape as she was having a hard time moving.
What the... Both Jim and Ben were astonished. It was just a beast so what was the big deal? Why was she acting that way? No matter how they looked at it, they only saw it as Janine going insane.
So then, after a moment, Bagsik finally arrived in the area with a majestic look. And upon arrival, Janine on the other hand didn't know what to do. Especially when she saw again her first love this close.
Even so, she still gathered all her courage as she opened her arms and said, "Welcome back!"
The little creature smiled making Janine's heart skip a beat again. After which, the little creature flew from the head of Bagsik as it flew to Janine's direction.
But when Janine thought that it was going in her direction, the little creature went in the wrong way. Instead of going to her, the little creature went to Jim who was just standing next to her. After that, it hugged Jim's face in all excitement as if it just saw its long-awaited relative.
Janine's dead heart stopped beating. It was shattered into pieces as there was no more strength for her to even stand up. That said, her knees fell on the ground with her upper body remained upwards. Her widely opened arms fell on her hips as even all her strength, betrayed her.
This... Jim and Ben's mouth twitched uncontrollably. What the heck was this? What were they supposed to do now? They couldn't help but stare at each other while asking each other what to do with their meaningful eyes.
However, they were still thinking about what to do when suddenly, Janine who lost all her strength, couldn't hold her tears any longer as she finally cried out loud. It was as if a kid of whose candy was stolen. Her screeching voice echoed to the surroundings making Ben almost deafen to death.
"Jim, hurry up and do something!" Ben cried out as he held his ears with both of his hands. This Janine was really too annoying.
Although Jim could minimize the deafening cries of Janine, it was still annoying. He hurriedly thought for a solution as he finally thought of one. But before he could even execute what he was thinking, the little beast hugging his face flew towards Janine as it hugged her right away. He was just about to order this beast to go to Janine but thankfully, it moved on its own. It really saved a lot of trouble.
On the other hand, Janine's mouth was shut for good. She was still sniffing though. Nonetheless, after the little creature hugged her cheeks and kissed her, she calmed down to a great extent.
All she wanted was to be with it, why was it so difficult to do so? But now that she was with it, her broken heart was being fixed on its own as her strength was coming back onto her.
Seeing this, both Jim and Ben heaved a long sigh of relief. This girl was really giving them too much trouble.
"Alright, " Since there was nothing to do here, and the battle had ended without any of them dying, Jim couldn't help but feel happy in his heart.
Jim really had never expected that things would end up like this. Although there was still enmity in their hearts, especially Ben and Janine, he could tell that this enmity would vanish in a given time. No, this enmity should disappear, after all, they were the X-rank Hunters who were supposed to save the world.
"Where are we heading now?" Jim asked the other two. No matter what was the case, they were still trapped in the middle of this endless forest.
"..." Ben pondered for a moment before he responded, "How about we find the other one."
"The other one..." Jim repeated those words as he as well knew what the other party meant by it. Since there were a total of four greatest Hunters, the X-rank Hunters who inherited their power should be four as well, right?
But where in the world would they find that person? Even up to till now, they still couldn't find the other party's traces at all.
"Yes," Ben said. He could see that Jim understood what he meant. Although it was only a guess, there was a huge possibility that there was another one among the X-rank Hunters.
"Alright, let's find that person." Jim agreed. Although they didn't know why they were here in this place, they thought that they would understand it sooner or later.
Jim then shifted his gaze at Janine as he asked, "Hey Janine, will you come with us?"
"Huh? Where?" Janine frowned. Was this fool trying to ruin her reunion with the little creature now?
Jim's mouth twitched. So this brute wasn't even listening to them. Nonetheless, he still replied, "We will find the other one."
"What other one?" Janine's frown didn't leave her.
On the other hand, Jim's twitching mouth didn't leave him as well. This girl didn't even get what he meant? Just where in the world was her brain put on?
"Let's just go on our own," Ben suggested impatiently as if it was too bothersome talking with this brute.
Jim smiled bitterly. He could still see the hatred of Ben towards Janine. But thankfully, he had a lot more patience compared to Ben as he explained to Janine, "We three are called X-rank Hunters and I guessed that we all have received some kind of blessings from the one of the Four Greatest Hunters. And considering that there are four Greatest Hunters, there's a high chance that there are also four X-rank Hunters.
"That being said, we are going to look for the other one. Since you have nothing to do anyway, why not you come with us?"
Janine stared at Jim intently as she nodded her head slowly. It appeared that she still understood what Jim meant by what he said.
That said, she stood up straight as she responded, "Alright, there's no problem about it."
Janine also wanted to know them even more especially this Jim who she didn't have that much knowledge regarding his ability and strength. If possible, she wanted to fight him too. But not now. After all, she still had no good reason to fight him.
On the other hand, Jim smiled seeing that this girl was easy to talk with. It really saved him a lot of trouble persuading the other party.
