Chapter 171: Troublesome Opponent
"Oh? So I can transport that level of attack now huh." Elaine commented as she nodded her head in realization. Her strength had really improved greatly after she received the blessings of The Creator.
"But..." Elaine shifted her gaze at the place where she transported the huge spear as she asked herself, "Are they still alive?"
Did she just become a bit too excited and had accidentally killed the two? Elaine hoped that it wasn't the case. Because if so, that would be regrettable.
In any case, not only her was asking the same question. Even Janine who was at a distance away from the two and saw the entire occurrence could only ask herself if they were still alive.
At first, Janine was still thinking if that girl would run away or receive the attack. But who would have thought that neither was the answer as the giant spear was instead the one that ran away. Although the attack didn't actually run away from that girl, it was how Janine interpreted what had just happened.
Thus, Janine tried to see if she could smell the presence of those smelly brats as she could only heave a sigh of relief afterward. It appeared that those two had still managed to run away from that sudden onslaught. Janine could only praise their capability to run away.
"Onslaught Of The Thousand Blood Minions!"
However, Janine was still praising the two in her heart when she suddenly heard a cold voice. After which, countless bees came from a certain direction near her as those bees hurried themselves to go in Elaine's direction.
"Thousand Blades!"
But then, Janine was still surprised to see the swarm of bees when she heard another cold voice from the other direction. After which, countless wind blades were next to be seen rushing towards the girl.
"What will you do now?" Janine asked to herself seeing that Jim and Ben had finally become serious and were simultaneously making a move against that girl. Janine felt that with these two attacks from both sides, even she would have a hard time defending herself.
But then, when she fixed her gaze towards the little girl, she only found the other party still smiling as no worry could be found in her eyes. It appeared that this girl had still had her way to fend off these attacks.
Meanwhile, learning that the two managed to survive, Elaine was delighted. And she got even more delighted when the two were actually teaming up just to fight her. Or perhaps, the two couldn't hold their frustration any longer as both of them were itching to beat her up already. Thus, it might be that they couldn't be bothered who would attack first as they decided to make a move at the same time.
Jim and Ben didn't care anymore about whether it was unfair or not. Who told her to attack them both so suddenly? If she did it, she must be prepared to defend herself from both of them too.
No wonder Jim and Ben were so frustrated. It appeared that they needed to break the limits of their escaping capability just to escape the sudden onslaught that they almost got to experience a little while ago.
As for now, Elaine was smiling towards the incoming attack. Countless bees on the right side, while on the other side were countless wind blades. It was really thrilling.
So then, after a few moments, Elaine finally raised her right hand and waved it elegantly. After which was done, she said, "Fish Net."
A huge net then appeared enough to cover the sky as it greeted the incoming swarm of red bees with as if widely opened arms. It went without saying, Jim's Blood Minions were helpless as they were caught like a fish in the sea and as not even a single of them managed to escape.
Not long after, Elaine then waved her left hand as she said, "Knight In A Shining Armor."
A knight clad in heavy armor then suddenly appeared out of nowhere. But this knight was pretty strange. It had no weapon nor shield as its size was way too tall for its 20 feet height.
So then, just after the knight had appeared, it raised its hand forward as something like a light shield appeared in front of it. It welcomed all the wind blades as many loud thuds sounded continuously.
Few moments had past and the area was now filled with thick fog due to the many little explosions. Janine who was watching narrowed her eyes before a strong wave of the wind pushed away the thick smoke shrouding Elaine.
This time, the knight was nowhere to be found anymore as only Elaine was there. She was patting her shoulder trying to shake away the dirt that tried to embrace her.
"This girl is really capable." Janine let out a grin seeing that Elaine had managed to survive the attack from both sides. At that moment, she suddenly felt a desire to fight her as she prepared herself to attack too.
But before she could even make a move, Janine saw Ben who suddenly appeared behind Elaine. Not only that, he was already swinging his dagger and was about to land against Elaine's back.
But then, before the blade of Ben's dagger could even touch the hair of Elaine, Ben suddenly disappeared only to appear right in front of Elaine. When he appeared, his back was now facing Elaine as he only managed to slash the empty air.
Ben widened his eyes for a moment before he turned around and was already swinging his hand against Elaine who was just behind him.
But then again, before he could even land a blow, he suddenly disappeared again then reappeared behind Elaine making him strike another empty air.
What the heck was this now?! Currently, their back was facing each other. Ben was just astonished to see that instead of dodging, the other party was letting all of his attacks dodge her instead. This was really amazing as to how annoying it was.
Ben disappeared then again but this time, it was through his own will. He was planning to put up some distance away from Elaine and think for the next move he should do.
But just within the next few moments, his heart couldn't help but skip a beat. When he thought that he had already put up some distance away from Elaine, he would have just found himself already in front of the other party.
What the heck was going on now? Ben had immediately raised his dagger at a chest level as his other hand formed into a fist and was raised at a chest level as well ready to protect himself from any possible attacks. This girl was really dangerous. Ben could only think about it. If she wanted to, he was being transported anywhere and anytime.
What should he do now? Ben felt helpless. He could feel that he had already fallen on the other party's hand right now. He felt too that even if he tried to escape, this girl could just return him so easily that Ben had no way of retaliation.
"Cut the hair entangling your right feet!" Ben was still in panic when he heard a voice not too far away from his behind telling him what to do. At that moment, Ben knew that it was Jim's.
But... Cut the hair? Ben looked below as he didn't feel anything strange. He couldn't even feel if there was really a hair entangling his feet.
Nonetheless, Ben trusted Jim. He frenziedly swung his dagger all over the place trying to hit that invisible hair. After a few moments, knowing that it should be enough, Ben disappeared out of thin air to try to see if he could finally escape from this girl.
Not too far away from Elaine, Ben then reappeared again. He heaved a sigh of relief knowing that he had managed to escape.
Beside him was Jim who was gazing at Elaine warily. Ben could only open his mouth as he said while gazing at Elaine, "Thank you... But how did you know that there's a hair entangling me? I can't even feel a thing at all."
"No, you're wrong." Jim suddenly replied seriously as he continued, "You could really feel that hair entangling your feet, however, that girl was distorting your perception letting you believe that nothing was strange."
"That..." Ben began to sweat as he shifted his gaze at Jim in disbelief. That girl was actually capable of such a feat? She was really dangerous. How could he become so careless and let that girl toyed him?
Ben gritted his teeth and gripped his dagger even tighter. He then turned his cold gaze at Elaine as he muttered, "If that's the case, then she should be a troublesome opponent."
"Yes, that's right." Jim nodded his head as he continued, "It appears that we really have a more troublesome opponent than Janine this time."
