Yandere Ojou-sama!

Chapter 47- Decision she took for herself…

Rihito Takahashi.

A successful businessman who has grown to those heights which takes two lifetime's worth of hard work. Despite having the support of his family and clan Rihito never relied on them, due to certain reasons, and always believed in himself.

And it worked out seemingly too well for someone who has started his company from a small studio room. In years, Rihito Takahashi reached the pinnacle of his field and strived to be the best through his sheer workforce.

He was a man whom people desired to meet even once in their life and could pay fortunes to have a meeting with him for different purposes. Some wanted his advice and some sponsorship but all in all, the only thing which could be concluded considering what height Rihito has arrived, then it could be described with a single word, Apex.

However, when nothing could come in his way nor could weaken him, there was a certain exception to that. A single entity in his life for whom Rihito could abandon anything, including his life if she asks for it.

His daughter, Akira.

The essence of the love Rihito shared with the only woman who stood by his side in riches and poorer. Akira was an irreplaceable existence in Rihito's life, more so after her mother's demise Rihito's priority was now solely centered around his child.

And seeing her in such a state naturally was making it difficult for him to retain his composure and the urge to get her daughter what she desires surged exponentially. However, the middle-aged man held on to his thoughts for now.

"Why don't you understand Akira? It's for everyone's good and considering that Haruto himself took this decision because of guilt, I think you should also respect his choice, no?"

Hinoki was trying to reason with Akira for some minutes now, but all the girl was doing was staring at her father with a knowing look.

Rihito knew what she was thinking and despite wanting to fulfill her wish, he didn't concede just now. He needs to settle some of the things before he could reach any decision.

"What do you want daughter?" The younger brother pursed his lips when he heard his elder brother finally saying something after he initially announced his arrival by saving Minami from a guilt trip.

Akira didn't have to think even for a fraction of a second before her response dropped, "Haruto."

Hinoki did not doubt that she would speak of that boy as her foremost priority in the matter. Rihito has closely watched his child's growth and naturally knows her passionate interests.

When Akira was in middle high, Rihito was going through a very crucial phase in his work which partially resulted in what Akira went through at that time.

At that time Takahashi clan was in heavy debt from various other organizations and the sole supporters they had at that time was the Shimazu clan. Rihito despised the idea to let his daughter get involved with the heir of the Shimazu clan just for their clan's benefit but through prolonged persuasion, it was decided to remain silent on the matter and to make the Shimazu clan believe that the engagement between Akira and Kazuko was still valid, the Takahashi princess was told to not get involved romantically with anyone.

If Haruto was the main cause then Rihito's helplessness at that time was also a factor in what Akira faced.

How a father could deny the request of such a daughter who has suffered so much and so alone yet no complaints from her whatsoever?

But...

"You are aware, that your hatred and desperation have resulted in what you feel for Haruto, right?"

Akira took a deep breath at her father's statement which as always kept the calculative nature of his highlighted. Both of them knew that the feeling Akira carries for Haruto could not just be simply explained since she had a mixed kind of history with the boy.

But her answer came out without a single waver of hesitation.

"Whether love or hate, there's something I am entirely certain about and that is, my desperation to be with Haru-kun. Whatever feelings I have for him, I would sort it out but there could be no mistake on my side to say that I wholeheartedly want Haru-kun by my side."

The father-daughter duo stared at each for some moments upon the latter's response. Akira has said what she felt and she would not regret her decision, that was for sure.

Rihito remained silent for a while before he sighed with a strange glint clouding his gaze before he told Akira to go back to her room, ignoring the silent protest his brother was showcasing.

"Why didn't you tell her to stop, brother?!"

Hinoki, maybe the first slightly raised his voice at his brother since he could not comprehend what was going through the older one's mind to let Akira do whatever she wanted to do.

Rihito smiled slightly before he took out his glasses with that strange emotion still lingering in his eyes.

"Didn't you see Hino? Akira has taken her decision and for the first time, she has demanded something from me. As a father and a human being would it have been fair for me to obstruct her path?"

Hinoki still seemed reluctant to agree with her brother but in the end, he didn't say anything and just walked away with complicated thoughts swirling in his mind.

He really needs some lap pillow from his wife for a proper contemplative session...

As for Rihito then remembering the first time a certain teenage girl fought her family to be with him made Rihito sigh.

Rihito always thought, from what he has observed from Akira's working abilities that she has taken over him but today he realized, that she was just like her mother.

Slightly repulsive, could fight the world for what she wants, and most importantly...the overwhelming love both of them carried which could not be measured by any scale but only could be marveled from the sidelines...

"I hope you find your happiness soon...Akira..."
