POV: Finn The Human

What was this strange thing Finn felt in his chest? Why was his heart beating so quickly?

His palm was sweeting, his heart beat had increased and he suddenly felt nervous all of a sudden. This was obviously not normal at all. But the answer was still very clear to Finn. 

It was clearly because of her. Bonninell bubblegum. Or Bonnie in short. 

Her words become clouds in his mind as her somehow sweet voice sent him into a sort of trance that clouded Finn from hearing whatever it was she was saying. 

But what he was focused on was her everything. From her lips, to her attractive smile and weirdly appealing skin tone. Was this what his father meant went he said love would make you blind to anything. Was this how blind ness felt like. Finn did not care. Everything for some odd reason looked good to him.

Finn was even unbothered when Jake left his side to go to who know where. He could care less at this current state.

And with the fact that Bonnie would intentionally or unintentionally gaze his way every few seconds, the current Finn was a mess only he could understand.

" Thank you to all my citizens for arriving for this important event. And for one last announcement... "

This made Finn quickly regain his focus from his earlier laxness. He smiled a little embarrassed having heard nothing at all and having no idea what the princess had said earlier. But that was beside the point. Only he would know about his blunder and no one else.

" It's unfortunate, but the champion hero Billy has retired and the screening for a new champion hero for the Candy Kingdom will begin. " Bonnie spoke seriously. Speaking with authority as she gazed over the entire crowd. Her eyes wondering over the gathered group in silent appraisal. Looking for something maybe...

Her eyes finally rested on a pair of striking blue eyes. What had caught her attracting was the emotions behind those eyes. A sort of warmth and determination. But Bonnie quickly took her gaze away, a silent smile taking over her features.

" I will be the one choosing this final hero and the main crittera will be based off a two way system of both Fame and efficiency. The process will take place over the following six months. "

Finn, felt a sudden spike of nervousness in his chest. Was this how thing happened originally. He could not remember such a thig occurring.

But it was somehow reasonable. The princess was not stupid enough to hand over her protection to someone that could not get the job done.

But Finn felt oddly excited about the competion. It was a perfect opportunity to showcase his awesomness. And he also had a sure win strategy already. If a competition of fame and effectivness was what they wanted, Finn would play the game and win.

" Good luck to all prospective Champions. " Bonnie said and moved to leave the platfrom. 

The Candy people had goten a sudden liveliness from Bonnie's words. Some ven broke out into dance on the street whiel others shouted loudly about what the princess had said.

An even more excited one, rushed to the stage where the princess was still walking away from. 

For some reason, this particular candy person caught Finn's atention. He was round brown and somehow had a wrinkly texture to his being. H was laughing as he run to the podium exposing teeth. Finn obviously knew who this Candy person was. It was Cinnamon Bun, one of the characters who was focussed on from the show he watched.

Finn was not sure why Cinnamon bun had attracted his attention. Maybe he had his own personal reason [ A/N [ COUGH] Flame princess[COUGH] ] . But an instinct had taken him to follow along the running figure.

" Prinncess, princess. I have a cool new trick I want to show you! " 

Finn noted that Cinnamon Bun had an oddly childish tone as he shouted for the princess to wait for him. Like a chils calling the mother. But it was weird fir Finn to see.

This had also attracted the other Candy peoples attention, who from what Finn could see started laughing silently while some passed rude remarks.

' Hmm. ' Finn observed this and wondered if there was other reasons for Cinnamon Buns eventually moving to the fire kingdom.

But his instinct told Finn that something was about to happen. What exactly, he was still not sure, but his body was tensed already, waiting to spring to action.

" Princess, wait for mee ... ARRRGHHH. [ CRASHH ] Ohh nooo! " Cinnamon bun shouted as his head slammed into the support candy beams holding up the platform.

" The princess is going to die. " A candy person shouted out in horror and the other gasped in shock.

They were all seeing the same vision of the support beams breaking apart and the Princess who had been trying to get off the stage getting thrown off to the ground.

Finn would have been amazed by his instinct but he had more important things to handle at the moment.

He had kicked of the ground in a mad sprint the moment he had seen Cinnamon bun get tripped by a stone from his running to the princess.

Finn had already gotten a head start and was not to worried with not geting there on time. He was very confident in his physical capabilities and he had even gotten stronger with the help of the Nomicon.

" Look someone goind to save the princess. " Another candy person shouted in happiness.

At the same time, Finn reached out his hands, already covering the distance to the place the princess would fall on. He brased himself for the sudden falling pink body.

[ Thud] 

The Princess crushed into his waiting arms, and Finn waited for the right moment to slightly step back a little, canceling out the force of her fall.

" Heavy. " He blurted out silently, as he held the soft body of the princess and he was suddenly aware of the sweet scent that was assaulting his nose.

His hands clentche slightly and he felt the increased warmht in his hand that was quickly passing onto his body and Finn was very sure that his face had grown slightly Pink.

" Is the princess okay? " A short candy person asked.

" He saved the princess! Hurrayyyy! " Abother one shouted and this made the rest quickly join in celebration and cheering. 

At the moment, everything felt like it had gone silent. From the chatter of the candy people arround them, to his constant breathing that had spiked all off a sudden. The world was more colourfull in a way and Finn was everhwelmed by the sweet scent coming from the body he held in his arms.

They had maintained the eye contact between the two of them so far, pink meeting blue in a silet stare off that neither broke off. Finn felt he was drowning in a way, being pulled furhter into her gaze, a pool of pink that he did not want to escape.

A stray thought came to him all off a sudden.

' I wonder what she's thinking right now. ' Finn could not get anything from her gaze. The best he could see was curiosity and interest. Anything esle was hidden from his current observation.

" Mein Held. " She said silently. Silent that Finn only heard her because he was so close to her at the moment.

" Ich liebe dich " Finn found himself replying to her words instantly before he had even realised what he had said.

It was only when the words were fully from his mouth that the realisation dawned on him. But the words were already out there was no taking them back.

He saw how Bonnie's eyes opened widely. Was it from shock as she realised his reply was a confirmation that he could understand the german language she just spoke or was she suprised by his declaration.

The world felt so silent at the moment, as if only they existed at least that was how Finn felt at them moment. 

He finaly saw her smile. Not replying to his earlier words. It was a kind smile. One for some reason Finn felt oddly about.

" What's your name? " She asked curiously. Moving past their earlier concerstaion, transitioning perfectly lacking any akwardness.

Finn felt oddly annoyed, a slight sort of pettiness but his rationality supprssed it. Couldn't she atleast answer his earlier confession. 

" It's only proper to give out your name fist when asking for someone else. " He said the pettiness he tried to stomp showing but he wanted to talk to her more.

That was the main reaosn he acted this way. He would no deny it, he was curious about her, both for her mind and also for her personality.

Bonnie giggled cutely, or was it charmingly, a hand to her face to cover her mouth. Finn wondered what amusement she got from his reply.

" You are right, it's only proper. My name is Bonnibell Bubble gum. The princess of th candy kingdom. What about you? " She said gently and Finn could see the ease she was speaking with him, he also saw the interest in her eyes.

" Finn Campbell Stormborn. " He also answered simply, maintaning eye contact the whole time. Finn wanted to undersatnd her but he also wanted this to be a memory she would remember. In the battle of love, playing defence was always a lossing gamble.

" Finn, that's a nice name..." She said and kept silent all off a sudden, as if she was thinking about what she wanted to say. Finn was not sure.

" ...Could you let me go Finn, I think I'm okay now. " Bonnie said and turned her head away slightly, he could hear the akwardness from her voice.

The whole time, their conversation happened while Finn carried her in the classic princess hold. Pressed tightly to himself. 

Finn had been looking at her the entire time and had noticed the sligth coloring of her pink skin, from he ears to her cheeks. And a sudden earge to tease the princess grew in him a sort of cheekiness.

" No. " he said firmly and he was surprised to see the shock that had replaced her calm ffeatures.

" ...Why? " She asked a frown on her face and Finn could hear the innocence from the question, as if she herself was confussed by his denial.

" I said earlier I liked you Bonnie. And I like holding you. " Finn said straight forwardly. A confidence he was unaware of in his voice as he spoke.

For the second time, Bonnie had a shocked look on her face, as if she were confused by his words. And then the pink increased on her face, this time reaching upto her kneck.

She suddenly jumped from his hands like a cat who just her tail stepped on and stood straight as a rod. There was now a sort of akwardness to her, as if the earler calm collected persona she had ealrier was gone.

" You're always welcome in the candy kingdom Finn. See you later. " Bonnie practically said those words in one full sentence after which she took of in a quick sride, catching up to peppermint buttler who had beem approaching.

" Follow me Pep. " She said sounding flustered and she was off once again, the whole time Finn was not given another glance.

Pepppermint Butler offered Finn a small smile and quicly followed after Bonnie.

Finn remained where he stood, watching her leaving back and wondered if he had done to much, had he pushed her away.

" How did it go. " Jake suddenly appeared beside his and asked silenty to his ears.

Finn jumped from his position and took a deep breathe to calm down his frantic breath. He looked at Jake annoyedlly but still answered.

" I think it went well. " Finn answered with a small smile.
