Chapter 37: 36. Confessions and the Junkyard
**POV: Jake the Dog**
Jake was mesmerized. He had never seen anything like her in all Ooo.
From her luscious long blonde hair that swayed in the wind to her beautiful slender body that mirrored the vibrant colors of the rainbow, she was a sight to behold. Her big round eyes somehow sent a shiver down his spine, and finally, her long attractive legs were driving him nuts. She was perfect in every way, and her smell was intoxicating.
"I'll be back, Finn," Jake said, unsure if Finn had heard him. But whether he had or not, Jake didn't care much about it. He had a lovely lady to pursue.
He stalked away, oblivious to Finn's state, and followed the Rainicorn, who had just left the stage after the princess had dismounted.
Jake slicked back his hair and adjusted his pants as he approached the stunning lady.
"Hey, beautiful mama!" Jake said flirtatiously, and Lady Rainicorn turned to look at him. It was time to work his magic!

**POV: Finn the Human**
The memory would linger with him for a while. Maybe he was a simp for her, or perhaps it was love at first sight—if such a thing existed.
He had only seen her once, and Finn already felt lightheaded. Was this what the goddess meant when she said she had blessed him in his love life? Finn felt no different at all. But he knew he would have to wait. Expecting any sort of result this early would be foolish.
It was truly a strange situation for him. But Finn was sure of one thing: if he wanted Bonnie to ever fall for him, following the original story wouldn't work. He had to think outside the box with someone like her.
Finn already had the advantage in terms of knowledge. He might have known her from the show, but whether that would translate into real-life knowledge was yet to be seen. However, the little he did know would allow him to plan, scheme, and ultimately win!
In this battle, Finn had every advantage to succeed! If not, it would probably leave him heartbroken and depressed.
That was why he needed to devise a plan—a foolproof strategy to win over the princess's love.
If this was considered a game, Finn was sure Bonnie would be an S-rank in difficulty. But he was not at all repelled. When had the impossible ever stopped him?
His main point of attack would be to appeal to her intellect. As the original show had shown, in a way, Bonnie was sapiosexual. So, Finn had to use that to his advantage to win her over.
"Plan CBBH is a go!" he said loudly, enough for Jake to hear and turn to look at him.
Jake immediately spotted the teasing smile on his face as their gazes met.
"I know that look, Finn. Someone has a crush! You've been blushing since earlier. How cute."
Jake was not one to let such an opportunity slide. He intended to capitalize fully on Finn's embarrassment. It was his duty as the older brother.
"Shut up! So, what if I like her? And you're not one to talk. I heard you earlier with how you looked at that Rainicorn," Finn quickly responded. He accepted his feelings instead of denying them, as any denial would only make things worse.
He also didn't let the fact that Jake had been just as mesmerized as he was slip by. Although Finn had been distracted by Bonnie, he had still noticed Jake's reaction.
"They grow up so fast," Jake replied, laughing as he rubbed away an imaginary tear. He had shamelessly ignored Finn's mention of his infatuation and dismissed it from his mind.
Yes, Jake had probably misunderstood Finn's words. In fact, what had Finn even said?
But Jake was glad. He was glad that Finn would experience his first love and all that it brought—the joys, the embarrassment. The arguments, the warm moments, and even the sad ones—that was just how love was.
And Jake knew how wonderful love was, how warm it felt, and how it could transform someone for the better.
His only hope was that it wouldn't end in tragedy...
"How about you tell me about that Rainicorn you were talking to?" Finn said with a teasing sneer, giving Jake a shove. He felt no shame in stooping to Jake's level. If they were going to tease each other, Finn was ready to counterattack.
"I don't want to talk about it," Jake grumbled, pouting as he did not enjoy the tables being turned on him or the fact that Finn persisted despite his attempts to steer the conversation elsewhere.
"Come on, you can tell me, Jake," Finn urged, genuinely curious this time. He sensed that Jake was upset about something and wondered if he had failed in his endeavors.
Jake frowned, and Finn waited for him to muster the courage to speak. After a moment of contemplation, Jake finally let out a deep breath and slumped forward.
"I couldn't..." Jake began to say something that Finn could initially hear, but it trailed off into mumbled words that became unintelligible. Finn looked at the sad dog out of curiosity, wondering what had made him so glum that he was embarrassed to share it.
"You have to speak louder, Jake; I couldn't hear you," Finn said, leaning in closer to encourage him.
Jake took a deep breath, glanced around to ensure no one was watching, and finally leaned in closer to Finn's ear.
"I couldn't understand what she was saying!!!" Jake exclaimed, and finally, Finn managed to catch that much.
Finn was confused by what he heard. What did Jake mean by not being able to understand? Was Lady Rainicorn talking nonsense that Jake found too silly to comprehend, or did she communicate in a way that was just beyond him?
Then he remembered that Rainicorns were from a different dimension and could only speak Korean without their universal translators—a fact that still made no sense to him.
Now, seeing how dejected Jake appeared, especially with all his earlier confidence gone, Finn did the only reasonable thing he could in that situation.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Finn laughed without holding back at all because it was just so funny to him. The image of Jake approaching Lady Rainicorn all confidently, with that charming smile and his best approachable voice, only to be rejected because he couldn't understand her was hilarious!
He could already envision Jake's words, his tone dripping with flirtation.
"Let me guess, your pickup line was, 'Hey, beautiful mama!' Hahaha!" Finn said, trying to mimic Jake's voice, and surprisingly, it worked. The hint of red that rose on Jake's face only made it more amusing, as Finn knew that was exactly something Jake would say.
"Hey Finn, this is serious," Jake said, looking embarrassed at his laughing friend. But Finn didn't care at all. Was it bad that he was laughing? Absolutely. It was almost evil, even. But he didn't care.
"You know what? I'm going to learn Korean and get her to be my honey," Jake said suddenly, ignoring Finn's laughter. He had made up his mind after thinking about how to impress that girl.
Finn stopped laughing when he heard this, struggling to regain his breath. Was Jake this committed to pursuing Lady, or was this some kind of fate or destiny at play? Finn wasn't sure. Maybe Jake felt something like what Finn experienced when he first saw Bonnie.
"How are you going to do that exactly?" Finn asked, genuinely curious about how Jake planned to learn Korean quickly enough to talk to Lady. He was especially skeptical about whether Jake would truly commit to such a challenge for someone he had just met.
Some might say he was being negative, but only Finn truly understood how lazy Jake could be. Getting him to tackle something as difficult as learning a new language was shocking to Finn.
"Heh. That, Finn, will be resolved by where I'm taking you tomorrow," Jake said, his mood lifting as he resumed talking confidently, as if everything was settled.
"And where is that exactly?" Finn asked skeptically. Could there be a place that would make Jake instantly proficient in another language? Perhaps magic? But Finn was unaware of any such places, so he couldn't comment further.
"It's going to be a surprise. You just sit back and enjoy the wait," Jake said, a wide smile on his face as a plan began to take shape in his mind.
"Sure, I'll wait for this surprise of yours."
...Adventure Time...
There wasn't much to do in the Candy Kingdom, so the two decided to leave at that moment. Both felt satisfied with their objectives accomplished: Finn had wanted to see how Bonnie looked in real life, and Jake wanted a full stomach. They were both content.
But they had one last stop before heading home. Another reason Finn wanted to visit the Candy Kingdom was that the Ooo Junkyard was along the way.
Finn hoped to find the parts needed to finally complete the computer and, potentially, the AI he wanted to create. He also hoped to test his luck and look for Rattleballs, hoping to convince him to join him as a teacher. Finn wanted to learn Rattleballs' fighting style, primarily.
That's why the next part of their journey was leading them to that trash pile.
