After Dressing Up As a Little Fulang

Chapter 60 - Promise (1)

After Zang Ya spoke to An Yun, he took his hand again and said, “Let’s go. This place is such a mess; there’s nothing good to see. Let’s go somewhere else.”

An Yun nodded, having no objections to this. He had originally wanted to visit the store, but given the circumstances, it seemed better for customers like them to leave.

As Zang Ya held An Yun’s hand and prepared to exit, the shopkeeper suddenly blocked their way.

An Yun was a bit surprised by the shopkeeper’s sudden appearance, but Zang Ya raised his eyebrows, showing interest. He hadn’t expected the shopkeeper to have the courage to stop him.

The shopkeeper had initially approached to thank Zang Ya. Regardless of Zang Ya’s motives, he had helped resolve a significant issue for their store. Moreover, given Zang Ya’s identity, it was reasonable for the shopkeeper, as the person in charge, to greet him; otherwise, it would have been impolite.

However, when the shopkeeper caught Zang Ya’s gaze, he suddenly realized that he might have been a little too reckless in rushing over so abruptly.

He quickly bowed to Zang Ya and the shuanger next to him, then gestured for the waiter following him to bring over what he had prepared. At the same time, he said, “This is just a little something I hope the young master will accept.”

Afterward, the waiter presented the items for Zang Ya and An Yun to examine.

Zang Ya glanced at the offerings and noticed two maple leaf-shaped bookmarks. Though they weren’t precious, they displayed clever craftsmanship.

Zang Ya nodded, and the attendant behind him understood, immediately taking the bookmarks as a gift.

This time, when Zang Ya and An Yun intended to leave again, the shopkeeper did not stop them. Instead, he watched them depart with a smile on his face.

Once the two had left, the shopkeeper suppressed his smile, turned around, and wrote a letter detailing everything that had transpired that day, sending it to his boss.

Given that Song Wanwan had suffered such a significant loss in their store, it was certain she wouldn’t let it go easily. He feared she would return to cause trouble.

Although their boss had some influence, it was still somewhat inferior to the Song family’s power, especially as they had recently risen with the Zang family’s support. If this situation was not handled properly, the shop would likely face consequences.

The shopkeeper let out a long sigh, watching as the waiter left with the letter. He could only hope that the boss would find a way to address the situation; otherwise, their store would be in trouble.

Thinking of this, the shopkeeper felt their establishment was unlucky, having gotten entangled with the troublesome Song Wanwan.

Of course, on second thought, he considered that the other lady named Song was even more unfortunate. She had done nothing wrong but had been so publicly humiliated.

This world really was not one governed by reason.

.

Zang Ya led An Yun out of the store, eager to take a look before shopping elsewhere. He noticed a clothing store not far away.

Recalling Song Lin’s advice that clothing stores were popular with both shuangers and ladies, he wanted to drag An Yun there.

However, midway through their journey, Zang Ya felt An Yun hesitate, as if he didn’t want to move forward.

Zang Ya felt strange and turned around to look around, only to see An Yun staring at a shop with unstoppable curiosity in his eyes.

Zang Ya followed An Yun’s line of sight and saw that the direction An Yun was looking at was a makeup shop. He stared at the men and women coming and going.

“You wanted to go in and have a look?”

An Yun was staring at the makeup shop when he suddenly heard Zang Ya’s voice beside him, and he was startled.

But soon, when he met Zang Ya’s questioning eyes, An Yun nodded honestly. He felt that there seemed to be nothing to hide between himself and Zang Ya.

As An Yun passed by, he was first attracted by the dressing of the ladies coming out of the shop, and then he noticed the items they were holding. If he wasn’t mistaken, the boxes contained lip balm.

After An Yun came to this era, he had made some money with lip balm at first, but after so many things happened, he set aside the matter.

Now that he thought about it, An Yun still felt a little regretful. After all, he believed that the lip balm he made had been improved; it was safer and more effective than the lip balm of this era, and it should have been more popular.

The pity and entanglement that appeared in An Yun’s eyes were all seen by Zang Ya. He looked at An Yun, then at the makeup shop not far away, and pulled An Yun straight in.

There weren’t many people in this shop, but judging from their clothes, An Yun could guess that their families were either rich or noble.

When these people saw the newcomers arriving at the door, they just glanced at them, quickly withdrew their gaze, and stopped looking at them, returning to choose items that suited their needs.

Seeing Zang Ya and An Yun come in, the waiter immediately greeted them and said with a smile on his face, “You two, please take a look. Our store is the largest makeup shop in the city. We have all kinds of makeup here. I’m sure both of you will be satisfied.”

When he said this, the waiter directed his attention toward Zang Ya, but when his eyes passed over An Yun, he still showed a bit of surprise.

Zang Ya nodded toward him, “We can see for ourselves; go ahead and do your work!”

“Okay! If you need anything, just ask us. We will wait in this store.” Seeing that Zang Ya didn’t want them to follow, the waiter simply said that and turned to serve the guests next to them.

An Yun observed the store and found that it was very good at doing business. Not only did the lip balms on display come with trial sizes, but they also had the prices written next to them. Some expensive lip balms even labelled the ingredients used so that customers could understand them themselves.
