Chapter 61 - Bitten (4)
Zang Ya came out of the old madam’s room, and Qing Yue, who had been waiting outside, immediately followed him.
Zang Ya took two steps before seeming to think of something. He waved to Qing Yue next to him and instructed, “Go and check out the shop under my name and choose one for me.”
Qing Yue had no objection to Zang Ya’s inexplicable order but continued to ask dutifully, “What are the young master’s requirements for the store he wants?”
Zang Ya thought for a moment and said directly, “On the main street, there should be a large flow of people. It is best if it’s surrounded by shops selling jewellery and clothes. It needs to be newer and can be reopened as soon as possible. By the way, train some more shop assistants, waiters, and shopkeepers. They don’t need to be too slick; the key is to be obedient and not deceive the boss.”
“Yes, Qing Yue understands.”
“Find the shop quickly and vacate it as soon as possible.”
“Understood!” Qing Yue responded and began to calculate in her mind.
.
While they exchanged these words, Zang Ya had already returned to his yard.
As Zang Ya stepped into the courtyard, he looked up and saw An Yun sitting under the porch, talking to the little maid, both of them smiling slightly at each other.
As if aware of Zang Ya’s arrival, An Yun’s eyes lit up instantly. He stood up and ran toward Zang Ya.
Zang Ya looked at An Yun, who was wearing a green suit and running toward him under the warm red sunset, and suddenly felt as if a bluebird were throwing itself into his arms.
When An Yun approached him, Zang Ya opened his arms, took a step forward, and hugged the person running toward him.
The reason An Yun had run over in a hurry was that he was worried Zang Ya would be punished like the last time he went to Mrs. You’s place. He was already a little anxious, but at the moment, when Zang Ya suddenly hugged him, he felt a jolt of concern. He wondered if Zang Ya had indeed been punished; otherwise, why would he react like this?
“What’s wrong? What happened? Have you been punished again?”
Zang Ya rested his chin on An Yun’s shoulder and rubbed it gently. Listening to An Yun’s slightly anxious questions, he simply said, “It’s okay, I wasn’t punished; I just came back and wanted to hug you.”
An Yun was confused by his answer and didn’t understand why he still hugged him when nothing had happened. However, he was used to Zang Ya’s embraces, so he didn’t resist at that moment.
Zang Ya held An Yun, inhaling the fragrance of herbs on his body, and felt the smoothness of An Yun’s skin next to his face, which ignited an urge to bite.
Zang Ya thought this and turned his head slightly to the side, kissing him, then biting An Yun’s neck before he could react.
An Yun had still been pondering why Old Madam Zang didn’t reprimand Zang Ya, wondering why she had called Zang Ya over this time. But the next second, he was caught off guard by the pain of the bite. He instinctively tried to push Zang Ya away, but Zang Ya held him tightly, leaving him unable to escape.
“Let me go!”
It wasn’t until Zang Ya heard the cry in An Yun’s voice that he let go of the person in his arms, then gently licked the spot where he had bitten.
An Yun was shocked and almost lost his balance.
Zang Ya, however, stabilized him.
An Yun regained his footing and looked into Zang Ya’s calm eyes, which showed no guilt at all. Quickly, he pushed Zang Ya away, ran toward the room, and closed the door tightly before anyone could react.
Zang Ya stood there without moving, staring in the direction An Yun had run, lost in thought.
The surrounding maids didn’t know where to look. It wasn’t until Zang Ya made a move, walking toward the room and glancing at them, that they averted their eyes and lowered their heads to resume their work.
Once An Yun returned to his room, he was a little shocked at first, struggling to understand why Zang Ya had suddenly bitten him. After calming down for a few seconds, he ran to the mirror and pulled off his clothes.
Then, An Yun saw a neat tooth mark where his neck met his shoulder. The mark was still somewhat orderly, but because the bite had been harsh, it looked a bit deep, with some reddish blood mark.
An Yun’s eyes widened in surprise, and he couldn’t help but curse, “That asshole, you bit so hard.” He had only felt pain before, but now he realized just how cruel Zang Ya had been, and he was almost bleeding.
Just at that moment, there was a noise at the door: first a regular knock, followed by Zang Ya’s unhurried voice, “Open the door!”
An Yun turned his head suddenly, grinding his teeth in frustration, his eyes seeming to pierce the door as he stared out.
Initially, An Yun had resolved not to open the door, but as his gaze swept past it, he noticed the maids in the room, who had barely had time to leave.
He saw the maids standing there, glancing between the door and him, hesitation and concern clear on their faces.
Just moments ago, Zang Ya had been able to bite him in front of so many people. If he let him in now, he still didn’t know what would happen. However, An Yun realized that if he didn’t open the door, he might not be able to do anything, but the maids in the room might be punished.
A man who knew the current affairs was a hero. An Yun gritted his teeth, secretly warned himself several times, and then called for the maids to open the door.
When the maids opened the door and Zang Ya stepped in, he let them out, then approached An Yun with a neutral expression.
An Yun had initially thought he should confront Zang Ya in anger, but as Zang Ya walked closer, he felt a mix of fear and timidity.
“What are you doing? What do you want? No, don’t come closer.”
An Yun’s non-threatening intimidation only prompted Zang Ya to push him further, pressing him against the dressing table.
“What, I’m here. What can you do about it?”
Looking at Zang Ya, who seemed unfazed, and recalling the pain from the bite, An Yun suddenly felt a surge of hatred and bit Zang Ya’s arm in retaliation.
Fuck it, he thought, it was just too much. Even rabbits would bite when they were provoked.
