"Boss, come quickly and take a look!"

Anna's urgent voice called from outside.

Ye Zian rushed to the window and pushed it open, eager to see what was happening.

Downstairs, Anna was carrying her two wolf fang clubs in one hand and a cardboard box in the other.

The box was clearly labeled "Du Moux."

!!!

Ye Zian couldn't help but complain internally:

He thought there was an enemy ambush and almost jumped down to offer support, but instead, he was shown this?

He was a straightforward person, never resorting to such things.

The supplies in the house were left for Wang Yan as her startup capital, and Ye Zian led the team downstairs to find Anna.

Across from the house was a large hotel, where all the edible food had already been moved to Zhao Long's residence. The cold storage only held some useless items and spoiled food that had not yet been transferred.

Embracing the spirit of taking advantage of every opportunity, Ye Zian waved his hand and collected all the furniture, tables, chairs, and various utensils from the hotel, even including the vehicles blocking the way.

As long as there was enough space in the system, Ye Zian would store anything useful.

Some items that seemed insignificant at ordinary times could prove invaluable in critical situations.

The convoy arrived at the foot of Xucheng Bridge, looking at the massive blockage caused by numerous vehicles. On the bridge, at least ten thousand zombies wandered aimlessly.

Most of these zombies were the unfortunate ones trying to escape Xucheng Island but had been trapped on the bridge.

"City lord, I crossed over this bridge this morning."

The intelligence team member pointed to several steel beams located about five meters below the bridge deck. Each beam was over a meter wide and originally supported Xucheng Bridge. Now, survivors could use these beams to reach the other side.

Although passage was possible, Ye Zian frowned slightly.

The team members around him might navigate safely, but what about the students at Xucheng University? They didn't have the same agility as these female soldiers. With thousands of people walking on the beams, it would be easy for something to go wrong. Therefore, Ye Zian had to find a solution for the zombies on the bridge.

"What do you all think?"

Ye Zian turned to Anna, Lin Qianshan, and the other team members, hoping to hear their opinions.

They understood Ye Zian's concerns. Xucheng Island was connected by three large bridges and an underwater tunnel, and the conditions on the other bridges were no better than this one.

Aside from taking the bridge, they were left with the option of going by sea.

Lin Qianshan crossed one arm in front of her and rested her chin on her other hand in thought. She spoke, "Currently, we have two options: either deal with the zombies on the bridge or find a large cruise ship."

Ye Zian immediately rejected the second option without hesitation, saying, "We don't have the ability to operate a cruise ship, and the electronic storm during the apocalypse has effectively destroyed the power systems of all cruise ships. They are basically just decorations now."

"Boss, I think we should set traps in front of the bridge and lure the zombies over in batches to eliminate them."

After saying this, Anna pointed at the map and explained, "The bridge is eight kilometers long, and zombies have a sight and hearing range of about three hundred meters. We just need to attract a small number of zombies at a time and eliminate them in batches. Eventually, we can clear the zombies from the bridge."

Anna's plan was quite prudent and feasible, though it would take time. However, it seemed to be the only viable option at the moment.

Ye Zian looked around and, seeing that no one had better suggestions, spoke, "In that case, everyone, set traps at the bridge entrance and prepare for the enemy."

The team members immediately began to get busy.

Fortunately, Ye Zian had previously collected a lot of blankets and bed sheets from the hotel, which were highly flammable.

Each blanket was soaked in diesel and evenly laid out fifty meters along the bridge, with a large stockpile of flammable materials stored nearby. Additionally, the fuel tanks in the vehicles on the bridge would create a devastating impact if ignited.

Once the fire was lit, the zombies would have no choice but to try to cross the fiery obstacle with their bodies.

At the entrance to the bridge, Ye Zian also piled several dozen buses to block the bridge, forming an obstacle twenty meters deep and ten meters high, completely sealing off the bridge's exit.

Once preparations were complete, Ye Zian stood atop a bus at the front of the entire team, with the team members behind him holding crossbows, taking aim at the unsuspecting zombies in the distance.

Whoosh.

A faint blue light shot out and struck a wandering zombie in the forehead.

The zombie fell, but the noise did not attract the attention of the others.

Ye Zian's arrow was a signal, and the team members immediately found their targets and began shooting.

Dozens of arrows flew out, and the closest zombies began to fall in rows.

"Roar!"

The death of their companions alerted the nearby zombies, who began searching for the intruders.

The cries triggered a chain reaction, causing the zombies on the entire bridge to become agitated.

Perhaps having spotted Ye Zian on top of the bus, one zombie let out a sharp howl, and the horde began to move toward him.

The massive group of zombies swayed as they advanced, even pushing the vehicles on the bridge along with them.

"Zian, should we ignite those flammable materials now?"

Lin Qianshan asked Ye Zian while holding a makeshift torch.

"Not yet; wait until the zombies get closer."

Right now, the horde was still thirty meters away from the flammable materials. If they ignited them now, the zombies would be frightened by the flames and would not approach.

"Mm-hmm."

Lin Qianshan tightened her grip on the torch, patiently waiting for the zombie horde to come closer. The zombies that were shot down served as stepping stones for those behind them, who continued to advance resolutely.

As the zombies walked over the flammable materials, the diesel-soaked blankets were trampled underfoot, and many of the zombies' bodies were also covered in diesel.

Seeing the leading zombies were only ten meters away from the bus barricade, everyone put down their crossbows and raised their lit torches, silently awaiting Ye Zian's command.

"Throw!"

As Ye Zian's words fell, dozens of lit torches arced through the air, landing around the horde at varying distances.

Anna took it a step further, lifting a large oil barrel and throwing it toward the horde.

The barrel landed heavily, crushing several nearby zombies, and diesel began to slowly leak from its cracks.

The zombies, already wearing dried clothes, became walking fire hazards as they soaked in diesel; they ignited instantly upon contact with the torches.

Ye Zian jumped down from the bus and swung his Tang sword toward the foremost zombie in the horde.
