Attack Of Parasites

Chapter 25: Instructions

After hours had passed...

"How is he?" the father asked his wife about their son Izumi after returning home with him.

"He still refuses to get out of bed," she replied.

"I think he's fine," the father said, setting the newspaper aside.

"I hope so," the mother said, her expression betraying her concern.

The lights were off, and a dim glow from the computer illuminated the room. Izumi lay on his bed, still awake despite having a long day. How could he not? He had stabbed someone for the first time, causing their death. The first time is always hard to process.

His right hand was active and stretched away from his body, while Migi, as usual, was at the computer, searching for new information about Earth and humanity.

Izumi stared at his left hand—the hand that had stabbed the man. "I still remember how I felt when I stabbed him, but strangely, it wasn't a feeling of sorrow or regret!" he thought aloud.

"Manipulator," Migi said out loud.

"What did you say?" Izumi didn't catch the word and asked.

"Manipulator," Migi turned his gaze toward Izumi and repeated.

"Is that a new word you learned?" Izumi asked, confused.

"A manipulator is someone who uses unethical deceptive methods to influence others and turn the situation to their advantage without caring about others. They seek to distort reality, twist facts, and show false emotions and behaviors," Migi explained, reading the definition he found during his research.

"You're a manipulator," Migi said, moving closer to Izumi.

"How so?" Izumi replied, surprised by Migi's statement.

"Your performance in front of your dad was impressive. I admit you played your role expertly," Migi added sarcastically.

"What do you want me to do?! Do you want me to tell him I'm carrying a parasite in my right hand that I can't control? Do you want me to admit that I stabbed someone? Do you want me to confess that I'm part of the crimes happening against my will, hiding what's happening? Do you want me to tell him about the metal bag that caused his best friend to lose his job?" Izumi said, agitated.

After some time and the continuation of life, the school reopened its doors, and classes resumed. Teacher Tamiya, who had ended the life of her lover, continued teaching as if nothing had happened. She still played the role of a successful woman, far removed from committing the crimes of torn flesh, but as long as she was alive, she must be feeding on humans.

**University Building**

In the meeting room, the head of human resources held a meeting attended by several key figures managing university affairs regarding the failure to provide the documents related to Tamiya's husband, according to the internal regulations for university employees.

"How do I say this about the fact that you're expecting a baby? It's certainly a joyful matter… but," said one of the officials.

"You're a teacher, and you know the status a professor holds in our Japanese society. You're supposed to be married and not know who the father is?!!!" exclaimed another official, disgust evident in his tone.

"I hope you're not ignorant of the father's identity, but are just keeping it a secret," said another, frustration clear on his face after being previously enamored with teacher Tamiya, yet he continued to defend her indirectly in the meeting.

"Well, I think I've heard what you wanted to say. This was unexpected; I didn't think it would end this way," Tamiya said coldly amid the astonishment of everyone present.

"I don't want to draw attention to something like this; I'm done playing the role of Tamiya," she added before leaving the room without permission from anyone.

"Let's kill teacher Tamiya!" said Izumi, sitting comfortably at the entrance of the building.

"You seem thirsty for blood; did you enjoy the feeling of stabbing someone?" replied Migi, reminding him of the man who had stabbed him.

"She's a danger to us. Do you think she's comfortable playing this role?!" said Izumi.

"I doubt our chances of winning," Migi said.

"Why? Aren't you confident in your ability to defeat her? Plus, Dekim and his left hand, Hidari, are on our side," Izumi tried to convince Migi of the idea.

"Well, what about the fetus she carries? It's definitely human; can you kill it?" Migi asked.

Teacher Tamiya walked past Izumi and subtly gestured for him to follow her. Hesitant at first, Izumi kept his eyes on her until she turned behind the university building. After consulting with Migi, he decided to follow her.

"I'm done playing the role of Tamiya," Tamiya said.

"What a wonderful piece of news! With this decision, you'll leave, and I won't always be under her watch," Izumi thought aloud.

"Now there's no particular reason for me to keep humans around me, including you," Tamiya continued.

"What made you decide to stop playing the role of Tamiya? Why do you want to kill people? Here I am, carrying a parasite that lives off my blood, which means it feeds on what humans consume," Migi raised his right hand and said.

"Shouldn't the rest of you be able to live without eating humans?" added Izumi.

"Birds know how to fly without receiving an education. Spiders know how to weave webs without being taught. Lions know how to hunt without being instructed," Tamiya said, hinting at something deeper.

"Are you suggesting that eating humans is something instinctual for you?!" Izumi exclaimed.

"Flies, spiders, and lions all follow some kind of guidance. Every creature on earth has received some direction," Tamiya replied.

"What are you talking about?" Izumi said, confused.

"Did you understand anything?" He glanced at his right hand and then spoke again.

The thumb stretched a few centimeters, and Migi appeared as a Dobby-like eye at the tip. Tamiya reached a conclusion after Izumi's question to Migi, saying, "So humans have no guidance."

"What are you talking about?! Are you talking about God?!" Migi said, anger evident in his voice due to Tamiya's cryptic remarks.

"When I took control of this human's mind, I received direction," Tamiya said.

"What was it?" Izumi asked.

"The instruction said, 'Devour this kind,'" Tamiya replied with a smile, while Izumi looked on in shock, his eyes wide and his silence profound.

"Tell me one thing! What will you do with the fetus you're carrying?" Izumi asked, fearful of the answer.

"I will give birth to it," Tamiya said, prompting a sigh of relief from Izumi.

"I'm confident I can use it for some experiments; I'll eat it if it proves useless," Tamiya added.

Izumi gritted his teeth in anger at what he heard, ready to move toward her, when Migi intervened, saying, "Calm down, Izumi. We shouldn't engage from this distance in a place like this."

"You're infuriating me—die!" Tamiya brushed her hair, which covered half her right face, transforming those strands into a gut hook weapon capable of easily tearing out a throat. Her left face split into five horizontal layers, each surrounded by spinning ring swords.

"Damn!" Izumi stepped back in shock at Tamiya's new form and exclaimed loudly. "What are these weapons? She must be skilled in combat; Migi was right about that!!!"

"As I suspected, she has at least two transformation styles, unlike anyone we fought before. This is bad," Izumi thought, while Migi transformed each finger into an AYDA KATTI weapon, which he was wielding for the first time, weighing just under two kilograms and measuring 70 centimeters in length and 10 centimeters in width.
