Beyond The Worlds: I'll Chase After You

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Having a Normal Day After Going Home

'Well it shouldn't be too hard to avoid those modern villains. I just need to put them under my illusion or genjutsu to make them unable to see me.' Haruki thought, still in his Aizen disguise. He slowly walked towards the not so peaceful show at the distance.

Having arrived at the crowd surrounding the Hero-Villain fight, Haruki tried to circle around, unfortunately, the fight was not that small that he could just hug the walls of a building and pass through. Having no other options but to walk through the action, he activated his [Kyoka Suigetsu] and started making his way through the police barricades. Though, he could've just made a detour around the block where there is less crowded path, but he couldn't be bothered wasting anymore time as it was already nearing the usual time frame where he has to get home lest he would be greeted with a scolding that would cover the would night and day.

Seemingly walking pass the crowd with unrivaling finesse, and jumping over the barricades of the police, who couldn't detect even a whiff of scent from Haruki. The boy relaxingly made his way through the action setting of the road, and with a rhythmitic pace on his steps on the concrete side walk, completely undisturbed by the ongoing fight between the two fighters. At some point the villain was slammed in front of haruki's face, a few inches away from where he was. But he quickly got up and returned the favor to the hero that knocked him down. The fight showed no signs of ending anytime soon, but Haruki was already at the other side of the temporary ring made up of barricades by the PD.

"Hm, that was easier than I thought..." After saying his piece, Haruki hurried home whilst dropping his illusion— completely unseen by everyone watching. Arriving at the door step of his house, the clock had just turned 1:00 P.M and the smell of food still lingered around the house, even though an hour had already passed lunch time. Grabbing the door handle, and turned it to open but stopped midway. He sensed danger coming from the other side of the entrance if he ever open the door, who knows what might awaits him. Haruki turned 180° as he decided to come again another time like some salesman trying to sell some fake water that came from Niagara falls.

The handle of the front door twisted, and the door opened with a mere fraction of a second, releasing the only beast that Haruki was only afraid of. His Aunt came to him like a rocket and landed a drop kick to his head which made flew towards the concrete wall in front of their house.

"Where were you!?" She demanded with a gnashing teeth. She wore a casual clothes of a yellow crop top shirt over her barely exposed black sports bra. Along with her skinny jean locked to her waist with a belt.

(PoV Haruki)

Fine, they're all stupid anyway! It's just food, so what if it's store bought, and not homemade? They're delicious to me, and if anybody says otherwise then they have to fight me for it to prove me otherwise!

I said to myself as I took another fish from the canned sardines, and putting it into my mouth before delivering a mouthful of rice inside. If I had known this would happen, I would've ran home and not walk like some wannabe cool and collected dude.

Eating the last bits of food on my plate, I began to clean up after myself and did the most torturous task of washing the dishes. Which I don't like one bit! Why? Because I don't like cleaning these breakable plates! They are slippery without those fancy rubber gloves used for doing this task. Why not buy one? Well they are a waste of money! I would rather do this and think of it as training than waste my monthly allowance for a bit of comfort.

After having finished washing the dishes, I began to think of a way to kill time. There were no school today and I don't have any friends to hang out with, so I'm quite limited. I could 'work' on another manga but I just finished all of F/SN routes and Fate/Zero. I want to relax myself for a couple of days first before plagiarize another big anime works.

I could go back to my old roots and pick up the hobbies I've had in my past life, but good games will be hard to come by. I wonder if Pokémon is still around? Maybe even Halo or Doom? ...First I'ma search through the internet to see any good games are available, you'll never know if there's any good games in this quirk society.

I went inside my room and booted up my computer, I opened up the browser and began skimming through different game genres until something could catch my attention. They were a bit of familiar games like Mario, Sonic, and some 1v1 fighting games. I tried each of them but they weren't the same... Just like how every great movies gets a sequel, they too became a money grabbing, greedy tyrants, who does NOT understand good shits, and careless assholes. (*Cough* Kung Fu Panda 4 *Cough* and almost all marvel movies after Endgame *Cough*)

Anyway, I continued my search on good games until I found something that caught my eyes. A MOBA game, since I have already experienced the hell that big time MOBA games have, I decided to face hell yet again. Clicking the install button with my mouse the game began downloading in my computer, and after a while of waiting, it was done. I give my thanks to the fast wifi in my home for downloading a 40 GB game in a matter of a couple minutes. Opening the game, I was greeted with a choice to write an in-game name. I thought for a while and typed the name that comes to mind.

⟨Faker⟩

#Username has already been taken#

"I figured as much" I shrugged at the most obvious username that would be impossible to not have already been taken. Another minute of thinking passes, a smile could barely be seen from the reflection of the lit up monitor. Typing the most original username that came to my mind, my fingers raced across the keyboard like I'm playing typeracer all over again

⟨Rubbing#177013#4299⟩

#Username available#

"This does put a smile on my face" from ear to ear, my mouth widened from the most cursed (in my opinion) username unknown in this day and age. Though knowing that I'll most likely be the only one to know what these numbers mean didn't bother me one bit.

Now that the username is done, onto the tutorial I go! Excitedly clicking the button to play the game and start the tutorial. I was introduced with the mascot of this MOBA game, her name was Leslie. A ranged Champion or Hero, but I prefer hero. She guided me through the tutorial which was easy as someone who manages to reach the highest rank once in a MOBA game from my past life. I guess I'm what you call a Veteran? Anyways, I managed to complete the tutorial and now I'm free to play unranked games for a bit before it unlocks. I'm guessing my enemies in the first ten games will be bots, knowing that a newbie should first get himself acquaintanted with how the game works first before it dumps me into the endless landfill of shit noobs.

Hours passed, I've finally managed to get out of the bot matches! And it was mentally and emotionally exhausting game. No one to talk to, no one to troll, and no one to cyberbully to max. But this ends now! After I buy my fifth hero, and unlock the ranked section. My mouse hovered above the delicious rank que, I was about to start another match but my name has been called and had been told that my presence was needed for our supper.

Another day came, and I continued my daily swings from the backyard. The sun is dawning and the atmosphere is slowly being heated up by its presence above the sky. With a deep breath, I moved my shinai and pointed it forward with it's handle near my face. Letting out out the trapped inside my lungs, and focused myself to the absolute limit before taking another deep breath. Thoughts faded away in my mind, replacing it with only one self suggestion. And that is to strike three times in an instant "Tsubame Gaeshi" I said the technique aloud, and my body moved in an instant as if letting go of a stretched rubber band.

My shinai flew through the air, making the *swoosh* sounds in successions. "Slow" it was slow, the gap between swings were 0.8 seconds apart. It was to be expected, recreating the technique that could approach true magic is no easy feat to achieve. Deciding that it's already time to stop swinging the wooden sword, I continued my morning schedule — Wake up very early, train until sunrise, take a bath, get ready for school, eat breakfast, and go to school—

Arriving just in time before the teacher arrived, I sat at the back of the class near the back door. Unfortunately the protagonist seat had already been taken by someone I don't know the name of. Yes I'm that type of guy who don't bother remembering the names of my peers or anyone I don't see as important to me. Anyway, the teacher arrived and we greeted her arrival before she starts her classs, as I've already been through these subjects from my past life and won't be bothering listening to the boring lectures. I decided to sleep my way through the lessons or as I like to call it, Time Skipping. Slowly melting my body on my desk, my consciousness began to fade before being awoken by a sudden shout.

"Haruki-kun!" Opening my eyes, I saw a silhouette of a woman standing in front of my desk menacingly, a drop of sweat formed on my forehead as I ask her "what's wrong teach?" I asked informally in which a tick formed on her forehead. She pointed at the board, I already knew what the teacher wanted from me, so I stood up and made my way towards the blackboard containing very simple english words and their rules and formation. I grabbed a chalk and began translating them halfheartedly.

'Seriously, why do I have to do this kinds of things all over again? I should've activated [Kyoka Suigetsu] before sleeping.' I asked and reprimanded myself for forgetting how convenient Aizen's ability is for lazing around. Doing the last stroke, the translation is now complete, although with some purposely made mistakes as to not get praises from these annoying children.

The teacher nodded disappointingly, of course she knew of my heritage and full capabilities but didn't bother trying to draw it out. Or more specifically, gave up bothering to draw it out as no matter what she does or do, It won't make me use 100%. Which is kinda bad for a teacher actually.

Lunch time came as soon as the bell chimed "ring ring ring". Making almost all the students present in the school leave their respective classrooms and towards the school cafeteria. I waited in line to get my lunch from the lunch lady who is selling bentos. Luckily I managed to get in line quickly before things got crowded with annoying kids wanting to be a hero with their weak, and useless quirks.

"10 Bentos please!" I made my order to the kind lunch lady who is very pretty, and patient towards those discriminating assess behind me. "sure thing, Haruki-kun!" She gave a smile my way and began packing up the bentos. As usual I gave my thanks to the pretty lunch lady, and now I have to weave my way through the crowded cafeteria. Thankfully I am used to these types of obstacle, since I've been doing these type of challenge almost every lunch time on school day, so it was easy for me to avoid getting stuck in the crowd.

After leaving the cafeteria, I made my way towards the stairs and on to the roof, which was off limits grade schoolers like me by the way. But it was the most quiet place around, and it's me, and Nikko's meeting spot.

Opening the door, I was greeted with a view of a muscular man with a perfect chiseled face and symmetrical body, who was embracing the clear sky like some weirdo. thankfuly the technology here is surprisingly advanced as his clothes could either shrink or grow, like the dragon hero's costume that could adapt to her body size and shape.

"Did I keep you waiting Nikko?" I asked an obvious question, he need not to answer the question nor be surprised as he already felt my presence after I had stepped on the the stairs leading to the roof. "Goodnoon, Haruki. I did not wait long, in fact even if I did, I will still be enjoying the weather before I could tell what time it was." He spoke in a prideful tone, as he let out a chuckle. What does he find amusing? I wondered. Is this some prideful being joke that I am too humble to understand? "Anyway, I brought lunch! With all 9 boxes for you." I said as I handed him the bentos.

We began chatting as we ate, mainly about how we are being treated, the homeworks that we have to do, and the upcoming group project. Completely unaware of time that passed, only to be interpreted by the ringing school bell. Forcing us to clean up and leave from our spot and return to our classroom.

Again, sitting inside a boring class with lessons that I already knew of. To pass the time I began to brainstorm any anime that I want to 'share' to the public. My family still doesn't know what I am doing, as they are too busy to care for what I'm doing with my drawings. Luckily for me, they aren't too interested in 'my' drawings as they won't even bother looking through it unless I show them. So I'm still safe from them discovering that I'm becoming a mangaka.

Having already over a 20 different anime that is floating around my head, the gears inside began turning. For an author, the more popular one's work is, the more money they make... I think. So I filtered out any ok and good animes that I rated in my opinion of course, leaving only master pieces left in my head. 'Hmm... This is the hardest part.' I thought to myself, three of them are super popular movies from my past life, which should be quick to copy. But the remaining ones are funny and tear jerkers. And I'm leaning towards tear jerkers...

But then I noticed that I dodged a chalk that was thrown at me by the teacher. Making me stop from my day dream, I look at the front and saw the teacher wasn't having anymore of my behavior, and decided to punish me by making me stand with a bucket in the hallway.
