Chapter 19: Game Gambling

Iron Castle Prison. Warden's Office.

Yang Chi looked at the ordinary man in front of her. Thin and quiet, he even gave off a gentle and elegant aura. This was Yang Chi's impression when she first saw Zhou Hu. However, the information in her hand made her realize that the man before her was not as simple as he appeared.

"Zhou Hu, president of the Black Fox Society, head of underground dark web intelligence, a two-way spy, and a preparatory member of the Human Alliance Elite Training Camp. Such a powerful figure is imprisoned in my prison, so I suspect you have ulterior motives for being here," Yang Chi read the information aloud in front of Zhou Hu, then sighed.

The Black Fox Society is a criminal organization in Longguo, primarily involved in smuggling activities across the country. The underground dark web is notorious as the king of the criminal underworld, offering anything for a price. Moreover, being a preparatory student of the Human Alliance Elite Training Camp is significant. This camp is the pinnacle of talent development, recruiting only 100 individuals globally each year, offering top resources and training. Even the preparatory members are among the elite.

Each of these roles would be impressive individually, but Zhou Hu had all three, highlighting the extraordinary capabilities of the unassuming man before her. Yet, what puzzled Yang Chi was that someone as influential as Zhou Hu should, in theory, have connections to get him out of prison for any crime. So why had he ended up in her prison so discreetly?

Glancing at Zhou Hu, sitting there silently, Yang Chi smiled slightly. "Mr. Fox, can you give me an explanation?" At the mention of the nickname "Mr. Fox," Zhou Hu's eyes flashed with surprise, and he laughed suddenly. "I didn't expect Warden Yang to even know my alias. It seems she has done her homework."

"Haha, stop playing games and tell me, what do you want in Iron Castle Prison?" Yang Chi pressed on.

Zhou Hu replied, "Isn't jail necessary once a crime is committed? Your question is a bit strange."

"Strange, isn't it? As the warden, while I can't punish prisoners at will, I do have the authority to transfer you to a single room. Captain Wang, I believe we have a few available single rooms, don't we?"

Hearing Yang Chi's words, prison guard Wang Lide stared at Zhou Hu and sneered. "Of course, Warden. There are two separate cells in the West District, equipped with individual bathrooms and canteens to ensure no contact with others."

"Very good. I think we need to prepare a room for Mr. Fox," Yang Chi declared loudly on purpose.

Zhou Hu's expression finally changed after hearing Yang Chi and Wang Lide's conversation. He had come to Iron Castle Prison with the aim of helping the Sloka Group take it down. If Yang Chi really locked him in a single room and refused to let anyone see him, he would be rendered helpless!

Seeing that Zhou Hu's expression was finally not as calm as before, Yang Chi sneered. "Mr. Fox, we are all smart people, so let's not pretend. You are a person specially sent by the Sloka Group, right?" 

Seeing Zhou Hu's silence, Yang Chi became more certain of his suspicion. The organizer of the prisoners in Iron Castle Prison must be Zhou Hu! Otherwise, how could prisoners, who only think of violence, organize riots again and again with such tacit understanding? Thinking of this, Yang Chi narrowed his eyes slightly. 

"Mr. Zhou, admit it, you have failed. I believe you have seen my methods. I only need to lock you in a single room, and then I will talk to the little leaders among the prisoners one by one, deliberately irritating them. If I put them in confinement, how many of them do you think can resist my methods?" After hearing this, Zhou Hu raised his head and looked at Yang Chi, finally speaking. 

"Since Warden Yang already has a way to deal with me, why do you need to tell me so much?" 

"It's very simple. I am a very impatient person. I hope to reestablish my prestige in the prison in a short period of time and get the prison a good rating in the next Human League rating, so I need someone to assist me." Speaking of this, Yang Chi took a deep look at Zhou Hu. 

"I think you are a suitable candidate, Mr. Fox." 

"I?" Hearing Yang Chi's words, Zhou Hu was a little surprised at first, then showed a slightly sarcastic smile. "But why should I help you?" 

Wang Lide on the side was about to pull out his baton and demand Zhou Hu be more respectful, but Yang Chi stopped him. "Of course, I guess you won't cooperate with me. Let's make a bet. If you win, I will agree to the Sloka Group's transaction of the Iron Castle prison land. I think this should be your ultimate goal." 

Yang Chi said with a smile. As soon as these words came out, not only did Zhou Hu's eyes widen, but Wang Lide's expression also changed drastically. Regardless of the presence of outsiders, Wang Lide said anxiously, "Xiao Chi, this is absolutely impossible..." But before he finished speaking, Yang Chi stopped Wang Lide. 

Seeing this, Wang Lide could only stamp his feet anxiously while looking at Zhou Hu fiercely. The meaning of that expression was simple: If you dare to accept this bet, see how I deal with you. But who is Zhou Hu? Of course, he won't care about the gaze of a prison guard. At this time, Zhou Hu frowned and stared into Yang Chi's eyes, as if to discern Yang Chi's true intentions. 

Finally, Zhou Hu nodded. "What if I lose? I wonder what Warden Yang needs me to do?" 

"If you lose, you can help me manage the order of the prison. As for what the Sloka Group promised you, I can also promise you. Aren't you here just to eliminate your criminal record? As long as Iron Castle Prison can enter the top ten prison rankings, I have the power to erase your case record." 

Hearing this, Zhou Hu's pupils tightened. After a long silence, Zhou Hu finally spoke. "Okay, I promise you."
