Chapter 6: Chapter 6: I'm sorry, little wife
Mrs. Ana's eyes locked onto Lira's, her voice filled with emotion. "Marcus asked Vadal to find Sophia, to bring her home safely. And Vadal, being the man he is, promised Marcus that he would do everything in his power to fulfill that promise."
Lira's eyes were wide with curiosity, her mind racing with questions. "What happened to Sophia, Mrs. Ana?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
Mrs. Ana nodded, her expression somber. "Yes, madam. Sophia was just a child when she disappeared. Marcus was frantic with worry, and he searched everywhere for her, but she was never found."
Lira's heart went out to Marcus, imagining how devastating it must have been for him to lose his child. She felt a pang of sympathy for Vadal, too, knowing that he had promised to find Sophia.
Mrs. Ana continued, her voice filled with emotion. "Marcus never gave up hope that Sophia would be found, madam. He spent years searching for her, and even on his deathbed, he asked Vadal to promise to find her."
Lira's mind was filled with thoughts and questions. She wondered what had happened to Sophia, and whether Vadal would ever be able to fulfill his promise to Marcus.
Lira's curiosity got the better of her, and she asked Mrs. Ana another question. "Mrs. Ana, do you know what happened to Sophia when she disappeared? Was there any clue or lead that Marcus followed?"
Mrs. Ana's expression turned thoughtful, and she nodded slowly. "Yes, madam. There was a clue, a small one, but it was something that Marcus held onto for years. Sophia's nanny reported that a strange woman had been seen around the estate on the day Sophia disappeared."
Lira's eyes widened with interest. "A strange woman? What did she look like?"
Mrs. Ana's eyes seemed to cloud over, as if she was remembering a distant past. "The nanny described the woman as tall, with long, curly brown hair and a scar above her left eyebrow. But, madam, that's all we ever knew. The woman was never seen again, and Sophia was never found."
---
As night reached the estate, the sky darkened, and the stars began to twinkle. The air grew cooler, and the sounds of the day gave way to the quiet of the evening.
Vadal stepped out of his car and onto the driveway, his eyes fixed on the estate's entrance. He had been away for hours, attending to business matters, and was looking forward to a quiet evening at home.
Inside the estate, Lira sat on the couch, watching TV. She had been waiting for Vadal's return, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of their earlier conversation. She heard the sound of the car door closing and looked up, a smile spreading across her face.
As Vadal walked into the estate, Lira rushed towards him, her arms open wide.
His eyes narrowing in confusion as he wrapped his arms around Lira, holding her close. He couldn't understand why she was acting this way, being so affectionate and playful. It was a side of her he had never seen before.
Lira pouted, her lips jutting out in a childish expression. "What kept you so long, dear husband?" she repeated, her voice teasing.
Vadal's confusion gave way to amusement, and he chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm sorry, little wife," he said, his voice low and husky. "I didn't mean to keep you waiting."
Lira's pout disappeared, replaced by a radiant smile. She gazed up at Vadal, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'm glad you're home," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Vadal's curiosity was piqued, and he wondered what had brought about this change in Lira. He knew she wasn't the type to be overly affectionate, so something must have happened while he was away in the past few days.
Lira pulled back and looked up at Vadal, her eyes sparkling with a secret. She seemed to be hiding something, but Vadal couldn't quite put his finger on what it was.
Vadal leaned in and kissed Lira, deepening the moment. His lips brushed against hers, sending shivers down her spine. Lira's eyes fluttered closed, and she melted into the kiss.
Lira's response was immediate, her lips parting to allow Vadal's tongue to sweep inside. She kissed him back, her passion and desire igniting like a flame. Vadal's arms tightened around her, holding her close as they lost themselves in the kiss
As they broke apart for air, Vadal realized that something was different. Lira's kiss was more passionate, more intense than before. He looked into her eyes, searching for answers, but all he saw was a spark of mischief.
Lira took Vadal's hand, her fingers intertwining with his. She gave a gentle tug, leading him towards the bedroom. Vadal raised an eyebrow, but he didn't resist. Instead, he followed her, his curiosity piqued.
As they entered the bedroom, Lira released Vadal's hand. She walked over to the bed, her movements fluid and sensual. Vadal watched her, his eyes drawn to the gentle sway of her hips.
Lira turned to face Vadal, her eyes sparkling with invitation. She patted the bed beside her, a soft smile playing on her lips. Vadal's heart skipped a beat as he realized what she was suggesting.
Vadal's face remained impassive, but his eyes betrayed his desire. He walked over to the bed, his movements deliberate and slow. As he sat down beside Lira, he felt a sense of anticipation building inside him.
"How is work at the company today,Mr CEO?" She asked cutely.
Vadal's expression softened, and he couldn't help but be amused by Lira's cute question. He raised an eyebrow, his voice low and husky. "It was...eventful," he said, his eyes locked on Lira's face. "But I think I'd rather talk about something else."
Vadal's gaze drifted over Lira's face, taking in the sparkle in her eyes and the soft curve of her lips. He felt a surge of desire, and his voice dropped to a whisper. "Like how beautiful you look right now."
Lira's cheeks flushed pink, and she looked away, trying to hide her smile. The gentle warmth spreading across her face was a clear indication of her growing feelings for Vadal.
As she turned back to Vadal, her eyes sparkled with flirtation. She batted her eyelashes, her voice barely above a whisper. "And what else would you like to talk about, Mr. CEO?" she asked, her tone playful.
Vadal's gaze locked onto Lira's, his eyes burning with intensity. He seemed to be drinking in the sight of her, his face inches from hers.
Lira smiled and pushed Vadal away, her hands on his chest. "Go and take a shower, you had a long day," she said, her voice soft and gentle.
Vadal's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled. "Alright," he said, his voice low and husky. He reached out and pinched Lira's cheek, a playful glint in his eye.
Lira's smile turned into a gentle laugh as Vadal pinched her cheek. She playfully swatted at his hand, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
