BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Repetition of explosion has occurred many times in the floating rocks as I progress further above the ground and dodging all of the attacks of Seiryuu.

I barely can even get myself away without getting myself wounded from the attacks of Seiryuu as the blast is enough to disintegrate the floating rocks I am using to reach the dragon. Right now, my left foot is bleeding badly from dodging one of the blast that Seiryuu released to kill me. It was a good thing that I learned healing magic to quickly mitigate the wounds I suffered as I can't completely rely on my [Domain of Balmung].

Seiryuu is relentless and unlike the other celestial beasts where I can easily get a chance to stop and think of my next move, in my case right now, I barely have the time to think of my next move against the dragon as Seiryuu will blast beams at you in any chance it can get.

I continue to release some magic spells using the little chance of delay every blast from the attacks of Seiryuu though those attacks are proven to be ineffective as the dragon will just snort before slapping my attacks like dusts.

No wonder the voice of the boy earlier said that the trial is very hard compared to the rest. During my scan earlier on Seiryuu's weakness, it was revealed that this dragon has no such thing as weakness.

[No Weakness Found]

That is the message I got after my scan to the dragon making it more difficult to know what to do against it. I also can't afford to lose as my life is at stake here and dying is also not an option. Still, I do not fear death anymore. After countless of deaths in the tower of Babel, death became too insignificant for me. I might be only frustrated if I died here but I am not afraid I will die.

Still, this is different compared to the Tower of Babel. Here, I only have one chance. Death and it will be game over though my numbness in death is helping me mitigate the fear.

Right now, I am in the 13th floating rock. The rest of the rocks are already reduced to dust and like I said before, this is already a point of no return as I can only stare into the bottom as I get farther and farther away from the ground.

Seiryuu continue to stare at me like how insignificant I am to its eyes. I also know my struggles to fight the dragon is close to impossible but I am not someone who gives up that easily. As long as I am still standing and I can still fight, there is still a fighting chance to win against Seiryuu.

Once again, the water balls are forming once again. Seeing them form, I tried throwing attacks on them before but they don't dissipate unlike during the attacks of Genbu where I managed to use it on my advantage. The water balls of Seiryuu are stronger and harder to deal with. Even my [Domain of Balmung] is not capable of withstanding the attacks in a long term as it will break under the heavy barrage of the attacks.

POP POP POP POP POP POP-

My eyes widen this time when the water balls did not become beams but instead, they were launched as they were in the same speed as the beams.

"[Domain of Bal- !]"

Before I can even get the [Domain of Balmung] my left hand that is stretched out to perform the spell disappeared and the remaining thing I saw is the blood splurge out in the air. It was too sudden that it was already too late to see that my left hand has been separated to my body. Seeing the result after trying to block the water balls, one thing is sure, I will not survive this sh*t.

Before the other water balls can inflict serious damage to my body, I stood up and jump towards the next floating rock.

SPLAT!

Sharp and heavy pain suddenly registered to my brain telling me the source. However, I decided to ignore it and focused on getting myself into the floating platform.

BANG!

Since I managed to jump off the previous platform, I managed to escape death. However, I am now totally incomplete and will no longer be able to escape to the next platform after losing my right leg and left arm. The sharp pain I experienced before is due to losing my right leg after jumping because it got caught by the incoming water ball. 

I grit my teeth in pain and quickly cauterized the wounds on my severed limbs by using my flame magic to avoid losing too much blood. 

"Damn, those attacks are quite clean. My severed limbs disappeared without a single trace. There is no way I can heal this and regrow them once more."

Standing is no longer possible with one feet without any crutches or support for me to stand up. Even with that, Seiryuu is not going to just soften and stop everything. Instead, the dragon opened its mouth, creating a beam attack on its mouth. And based on Seiryuu's mouth is facing, that beam is meant for me. One of that beam and I will be disintegrated.

While trying to think of what to do since I still refuse to give up, a familiar voice echoed in my mind.

"Hey, you really are an idiot aren't you? Use the dragon power to regenerate your lost limbs for now!"

"Huh?"

"Argh, what an idiotic guy you are, let me borrow your body for a bit, this will be quick so don't worry about me stealing your body."

Before I knew it, I was suddenly pulled out of consciousness and I saw myself on the same room before, the consciousness where I appear everytime I collapse. One thing is different though in this visit. The guy who is always present in this place is missing.

"Oy, Kazuma. You should have used the dragon's power earlier, this body of yours shouldn't have suffered too much."

That's when I realized that someone else is controlling my body.

"You can take over on my body?!"

"Of course. We are both the same person so of course I have access to this body too. But I won't linger long. I will just help you quite a little bit but that's it."

In my eyes, I witnessed how my alter ego ripped Seiryuu to shreds like nothing in just a matter of seconds.
