Custom monster system

Spite is a funny thing to have , as it will eat you alive from the inside out and ruin so many things. It tends to snowball into larger and larger problems that grow more and more out of hand until it drowns you. The worse part however has to be how easy it is for it to appear and fester , one singular incident is all it takes from it to slip in and grow. Alex had been carrying his own spite for nergigante since he had almost died and it had been affecting his mood this entire time.-

With the elders death all that spite vanished and he felt liberated and relaxed for the first time in a good long while. 'Sorry about that I apparently had some pent up anger at this bastard.' Alex said honestly. Zain sighed "It's fine I guess considering what happened to you because of this thing , just try not to let it get this bad again." he said seriously. Alex nodded and roughly grabbed the corpse and taking off into the air with Zain on his back. He dropped off Zain and the corpse in astera before leaving astera again to head towards the forest.-

For the first time in a while Alex gave up his prey voluntarily. there was a reason for this of course beyond knowing how little information was actually available on nergigante. Simply put Alex didn't feel like eating the elder at all , sorta like a subconscious loathing at the idea. That said since the scholars had the beast he needed something else to eat and the blue thunder monsters in the forest weren't going to eat themselves. Finding a Tobi kadachi in the forest was easy since they didn't blend in at all and were easily spotted with Alex's sharp vision.-

Killing a high rank tobi was an easy task for Alex so he gained his dinner without much issue at all and h carried the corpse back to astera quickly. Nergigante's body was already gone but he had expected as much already as the scholars were quick to move things that interested them. The tobi was dismantled and processed in only a few minutes letting alex take it up to the chef to get it cooked. This time it was made into a truly supreme taco with loads of vegetables and meat that was a bit bigger than a person in size.

The runt was horrified to see that Alex was cutting it off from his food and forcing it to fend for itself. It complained and whined but he ignored it while he ate as it was for it's own good in the end. Eventually the runt took off to go hunt something to eat as it didn't want to go hungry for the night. Alex relaxed for the next few days and only hunted thunder elemental monsters in order to try and bring his locked [variant electrosis] trait to T6.-

Things were very peaceful in astera during this time as the new world seemed to be settling down from all the craziness that was plaguing it. Alex knew that this was temporary as once Xeno jiiva was found they had a few months before the master rank monsters start appearing everywhere. Alex himself wasn't at the Master rank just yet and needed to fix this as soon as possible in preparation. The requirement to grow again was to raise two elements to master rank or three to the peak of high rank. The second option was clearly easier as he currently had one in master rank and another at the peak of high tier.

The thunder trait was also at T5 and merely needed to be pushed to T6 for alex to grow again which was easier than raising the water element to T7. Alex was sure that he ought to be able to raise his water trait to T7 by the events of ice borne but was honestly curious what would happen when he unlocked his thunder trait finally. Theoretically he would gain another fused elemental trait like his [mistosis] but he wasn't sure.
