Douluo Dalu 3 | Divine Destruction

"I should probably start explaining things, huh?" Grinning playfully Wulin didn't mind the eye roll of his life long partner. His safety was the main concern of his peers apparently but it surely wasn't their only concern. "Only if you're ready to risk your lives though. This isn't info that can be revealed to the world."

"It's a little too late for that, boss. Nothing would put us on a bigger hit list than knowing who the God of Devils really is." Scoffing, Xie Xie's point was as sincere as it could possibly be. If the world knew who Luslec was, they could plan against him. Well, that was their hope anyway. 

"As long as you know." Chuckling Wulin placed a small metal disk on the table. A simple tap of the side projected a screen into the air, or rather a map. A map of the world. The map was largely colorless but an ink black was spreading even as they spoke. "This is the map."

"…" Silence reigned supreme as the trio looked at their leader with raised brows. Wulin only managed to keep a straight face for a moment before bursting out in laughter, his hearty joy far overwhelming Yuena's sigh.

"Sorry, sorry. It is a map though." Smiling apologetically, Wulin pressed yet another button regaling far more colors. Green, blue, white, gray, joined black in filling the world, four of the five playing tug of war with the entire world as the stage and prize. Green however, stayed stagnant in its own land. A very familiar land, one they stood upon at this very moment.

"This is a map of the world and those who own it." Interjecting before Wulin could side track them again, Yuena narrowed her eyes at how quickly the white was being pushed back. It was a landslide victory.

"Yup, it's just simulated though so it's not fully accurate though." Wulin's face rose, clearly overjoyed by the growth of black on the map. It was growing rapidly, far outclassing the other four colors.

"Green for Shrek, blue for the Tang Sect, white for the Spirit Pagoda, gray for the Federation, and black should be obvious from this idiot's expression." Snickering at her partner whose hands quickly shot to his mouth to cover his stupid grin, Yuena gave the rest a moment to think.

"Why is FUG growing so fast? Wouldn't the prospect of war terrify most people?" Raising her hand curiously, Xu Xiaoyan was both curious and amazed. The world called them the Four Great Powers but it was hard to tell where their dominions fell. It had been that way for centuries so this map was surely confidential information.

"Not necessarily. People rally behind fear and use it as a shield to take the first step. You've seen it for yourselves, haven't you?" A frown graced Wulin's figure as he thought back to that day, the day in which Grace Mirchea Luslec appeared for the second time.

"The evil soul masters…" The sound of gritted teeth accompanied Xie Xie's eerily calm voice, anger blazing in his jade eyes. A frown marred Mu Xi's confident expression and Xu Xiaoyan paled slightly from the memory.

"That's right. The madness that nearly brought Skysea City to its knees opened the world's eyes, they have another side they could join. But they aren't the only ones who can welcome those who have been abandoned. Tonight, FUG proved that they are a force worth following, a haven for the forlorn." Smirking proudly, Wulin was glad that their growth was meeting Seto's expectations even if he didn't quite believe it himself. 

Wulin had a lot of theoretical knowledge on the human mind but Seto was the real master of the art. He took Wulin's theory and turned it into a tangible thing, something that the Second Slayer could utilize freely. Fittingly, the God of Chains was a master at trapping people before they even realized it.

"And this is supposed to stop the war?" Raising a brow, Mu Xi wasn't quite sure that was how things would go. FUG could rally the masses all they wanted, but the Federation still had enough power to declare war right then and there.

"Delay it, at the very least. Luslec is a god, the Federation won't act rashly, and now that FUG has control of two of only three civilization ending weapons, we're in an unmistakable position of power. They won't do anything for the time being." Human greed knew no end and war was an inescapable concept but he could at least delay it so long as he walked the earth.

"Instead of attacking directly, they'll try to destroy us from the inside. To them, FUG is a group held with loose bonds so it wouldn't seem too hard. In other words, all their attention will be on FUG and until they reach a satisfying conclusion, they won't even dream of war." Once again, Yuena was happy that Seto was an ally. In one move, he leveraged FUG's strengths and weaknesses to force the world into a sort of pseudo peace.

"They're underestimating the loyalty of cultists." Clicking her tongue, Mu Xi couldn't even count the number of times cultists had run through her flames in the vain hope of ripping her apart in the invasion of Skysea City and those were evil soul masters, FUG was said to be ten times as loyal as even the most loyal evil soul master.

To some, the forces of FUG and the evil soul masters were of a similar level but in reality, it was anything but. Evil soul masters may follow a person but they wouldn't dare proclaim them as gods as that would be raising those above them into a position of adoration and respect, a position unreachable by mortal hands. And yet, in FUG, there were seven people who claimed to be gods.

"They are, and that's why we'll have peace. In the meantime, FUG will slowly spread its roots and Shrek will have time to consolidate its power and push out the Spirit Pagoda." A wide smirk split Wulin's face as he gazed upon the map that showed his rising dominance. "As for us… we'll be heading here."

The Star Luo Continent, the only place that had managed to stay mostly out of FUG's reach.
