Chapter 22- Meeting

Mira looked at the time. She still had some time to change and take care of the dining table because she had made some pudding for dessert. She had only managed to cook a few dishes, although it looked few to her, in reality, five dishes were already enough for three people.

Mira, who always takes everything calmly, was a little nervous because of Vivian. Not because she was scared, but because she had heard a lot about Vivian from Liona's mouth, for being smart, capable, and the backbone of their company at such a young age. Mira admired people like Vivian, although she had just found out her name because her Aunt Liona liked to make things mysterious. It didn't stop Mira from admiring Vivian as her senior, so she wanted to make a good impression on her.

Not long after Mira sat down, a knock came. She knew it was them, so she took a deep breath and opened the door. Standing at the door, Mira saw Liona and then a woman with light purple wavy long hair and light makeup.

Mira acted calmly and invited them inside. Because she was nervous, she unconsciously became indifferent again.

Vivian observed Mira. The girl was tall, beautiful, and indifferent. The moment she saw Mira, she thought it would be better for Mira to be a model.

Liona saw how silent and indifferent Mira was. If she didn't know Mira, she would think Mira didn't like them around. She looked at her sister, who was also silent but kept looking at Mira with interest.

"Ehem..." Liona decided to break the silence. "Mira, this is my sister Vivian. Vivian, this is the child of my best friend, Mira."

Mira followed Liona's introduction. "Hello, I'm Mira Vosbein. Pleased to meet you."

"I'm also pleased to meet you. I'm Vivian Alvarez. I heard from Liona that you're two years younger than me, so you can call me sister if you're fine with it." Vivian said in friendly manners as she gave Mira a quick hug as her greetings.

Mira nodded. "...Sister."

Liona's eyes widened a little and she reacted. "Mira, you called her sister. I'm her sister, then you should also call me sister."

Vivian chuckled. "Liona, you're childish. You're older than us."

"Heh... you know I'm older than you, then you should also know you're supposed to call me sister, right?"

"Nope, I refuse," Vivian replied quickly. Then she took Mira's hand without looking at Liona's face, with a face of disbelief.

"Mira, I heard that you cooked something. Can we eat now? I'm already hungry and it's been a while since I ate homemade dishes."

Mira looked at her hand that was being held by Vivian. "Alright, it's already on the dining table."

Liona, who was treated like air, felt defeated. But thankfully, the food that was cooked by Mira healed her heart.

Vivian chatted with Mira like a long-time friend, and Mira would respond to her from time to time. Liona only focused on eating.

After eating, Mira prepared the pudding. Mira found out that Vivian is not a fan of sweet food, so Liona ate almost everything by herself.

"Mira, if you need anything, we are just next door okay? Don't be shy to knock on our door," Liona reminded after resting.

"Yes, thank you for taking care of me," Mira replied.

"Mira, you will come to the company the day after tomorrow to report, and for the time being, it's better to familiarize yourself here first and sort out your things. Do you think there's still anything missing here or not to your liking?" Vivian asked.

Mira, who got to know Vivian for a short moment, became comfortable now around Vivian, and her indifference eased a lot. "No, everything is already here. Aunt Liona said you take care of everything here, Sister, thank you for your hard work. I'll treat you to dinner if I had a chance," Mira said sincerely.

Vivian waved her hand. "Since we're neighbors now, we will have a lot of chances. I'm afraid I might end up eating here for my dinner."

Mira remembered what Vivian said a while ago that it's been a while since she ate homemade food. "Then I won't mind. Starting tomorrow, you can have your dinner here."

Hearing what Mira said, Vivian smiled wider and she agreed without hesitation while Liona on the other side finally found her cue. "No, Vivian, don't disturb her. She just came here. If you want to eat, I'll just cook dinner and come to my apartment."

"Also, Mira, you just met Vivian and you're already spoiling her. Don't be deceived by this face," Liona added, pinching Vivian's cheeks.

"Ouch!" Vivian exclaimed.

Mira smiled and nodded as she watched Vivian and Liona interact. Even if the two kept arguing, it's obvious that they are close to each other. Liona would always pay attention to Vivian while Vivian won't leave Liona's side.

Liona pulled Vivian out and bid their farewell to Mira. After a long silence, Mira breathed. She threw herself on the couch and buried her face on the pillow. Her energy was already drained with nonstop moving around after getting off the plane. She wanted to touch her phone, but looking at the messy kitchen and dining table, Mira put herself together and cleaned everything.

A busy and tiring day helped Mira fall asleep early in a new environment. Before Mira fell asleep, she remembered that she seemed to have forgotten something.

.....

On the other side of the globe, Luna, who was preparing for graduation, kept looking at her phone. She sent a lot of messages to Mira, but there was still no response. She actually got a little nervous thinking that maybe it was because of her mother that's why Mira started to alienate her again. However, she and her mother were doing well after their fight and could finally talk about Mira and Maria, so she doubted her guess. But she couldn't think of any reason why there was no response.
